Airdrops or "Scam-drops"?

it is true, the current airdrop is no longer like the 2016-2019 airdrop. now mostly scams. although not all scams, for example Uniswap, are profitable. However, it's really hard to find one that actually pays that way. the point is crypto airdrop is free crypto.

It's free that sometimes many scammers use it as a way to get information by many users before as they know many will be attracted for free rewards. Before it is a good marketing strategy for many but now its too risky to join in airdrop, if airdrop will only be like when we hold their coins we will get some free additional coins then it's a good strategy which is type of airdrop reward now.

you have to be careful, currently, many scammers use new ways to cheat...
having to contribute to the airdrop project is not worthy of being called an airdrop participant, don't want to fall into the trap of a fraud. I almost got into the trap of an airdrop scammer, at that time they told me to send some eth for gas fees but I refused because I was sure they were scammers and it turned out that they were scammer who deliberately took advantage of the airdrop.

I fully agree with you. I am in Airdrops community from 2017. If i look at the past the past projects from 2017 to 2019 are even good but in 2020  from every 10 projects
 9 are scam.

If someone wants to earn a free token then Airdrop is a very easy way for them. Tokens are available only after completing some projects. But be careful to select.

We could just stay away from Airdrops, let's admit it. The airdrops today is not the same airdrops as before most airdrops now are contaminated by scammers so i really think it's much safer if we should not participate to airdrops anymore.

Agree，that is Scam-drops，my understanding is that airdrop is free，what we cost is just time，no money. Due to we dont spend money on airdrop project，so usually i hold out little hope for airdrop，preparing for zero pay back. But time is also valuable，so it depends on one's choice.

Airdrop are to be given for free, either for some task completed in a way or the other. And not to ask for money in a form. Some scammers have taken it as job to create tokens, build hype around it, create an airdrop and ask users for transactions or claiming fee. None of them has been even successful or end well. Don't fall for this.

This didn't happened just only these days. Even before, prior to the bull run you'll see a lot of ICOs were asking for their bounty participants to have this kind of partaking. They were asked for their ETH address and when the rewards were about to come, they were asking them to send a small amount of ETH for the GAS. Before, many just followed it and didn't want to take caution from it. But afterward, they have understood that they shouldn't be giving any amount of ETH because they've participated and they should be the one that must be rewarded.

I also met some conditions when I had to pay some Ethereum, which was required as a GAS fee. At that time, I did not even suspect that there could be such a fraud that is associated with the ongoing ICO and believed in the integrity of the team and good intentions. This was a good lesson for me, which helped me further identify different types of scams.

Everybody have learned in the past and this technique from the crowdfunding projects using it again. While the new sets of bounty hunters won't take precaution because they feel that it's a normal action and requirement from the project that they are participating. But analyzing and understanding it, they shouldn't really be required doing it.

Thare are no lots of platforms doing airdrops right now but it can say a few platforms are still using this kind of idea to attract investors. So many scam airdrops and more than 95% airdrop are scam right now.
Any crypto airdrop that will force the participants to do any activities that will give the benefits for the creator of airdrop can be considered as a scam.
This could be the end for airdrop.
Airdrop participants only have really small chance to get the legit airdrop right now.

In the past, many airdrops were legit and paid, but now it's probably only 1 in 100, of course, don't ever hope that we can get something wort it from airdrop now adays.
You don't really need to pay attention to airdrops with criteria as you mentioned, because in the past most legit airdrops also didn't ask participants to send eth on the grounds of fees, if you want to join an airdrop then just join airdrop with a simple task.

Airdrops are meant to be free, any projects like the illustration you gave should be strictly avoided or if one has participated you just let go and forget about such a project. There are many projects that are still doing valid airdrops and people are cashing out without any delay.

Airdrops become scam drops and many newbies got into this trap every single day. As per my experience here, I have learned a great lesson about it and that is not to join airdrops. Because in the beginning when I got to know about crypto and its airdrop since then I have had joined multiple airdrops and in the end, the result was very disappointed and after that, I never went to that path to join any airdrop.

So, if you see any airdrop that’s asking for fees or whatever that has to do with money, it’s best to stay clear from them and look for others. I have done airdrops in the past, and they can be frustrating, you choose so many of them and just few will be successful. A lot of them will have you do lots of tasks and no reward, you just have to move on.

No logic to send gas fee with token/coin that not been known to this market, and beside, airdrop should be for free and the one who wanted to

provide it should also cover the transaction fees. There's nothing to be ask aside from simple works to help advertising the project. With involvement

of some fees it's a sign of scam.
