Airdrops are free of charge, if someone asks you to send them money they are not airdrops, they are not real tokens and they are not doing it the right way and they are scammers. There is no airdrop in the world that would ask you for money, there is no way of projects to ask money that way and would get away with it, it is impossible to expect people to pay you for working for you, it makes no sense.

It means all those "airdrops" you see that asks for money are not airdrops, they are scammers. This is why the moment you see someone ask you money, get away as further away from them as you can, delete the telegram bot, delete the channels, unfollow the twitter account and basically forget about them. The longer you look at the offer the harder it would be to get away.
This is one sign of determining a worthless airdrop. Why would a project be leeching off people from people if they want the airdrop to be successful. If they want to have support from their potential holders, they should provide it everything on it even if it is for a gas fee or whatever it is. There is so many worthless airdrops in the market and obviously don't show any effort of the dev.

I just have more hopes on the airdrops of existing projects, They have more value in the market though their requirement or task varies.

Airdrop is an effective marketing strategy to attract users. By distributing crypto for free, through airdrops, developers can promote their products at a relatively lower cost.
Indirectly, airdrops can build a community of users of their cryptocurrency products, and airdrop participants help developers increase awareness, existence, and accelerate adoption of the airdrop token, and usually airdrop participants are required to disseminate project information via twitter tweets or Facebook shares. but if there are developers who ask airdrop participants to send crypto as a condition of receiving tokens, of course it can be ascertained that the airdrop is fraud and dont send a  private key wallet in filling out the airdrop registration form.
Some time airdrop is most effective way how to get many follower for telegram channel and get thousand twitter follower, I think many scam airdrop just give fake data about their twitter channel and make new airdrop should follow their account to participate on airdrop project, then project become scam so they try to change twitter name after get many follower. But for real airdrop is fine although have to follow with twitter account and need to update time when distribution without sending fees transaction, right now have unique way with airdrop joining where are participants need to sent bsc 0.003 qualify and I think some time got scam and got paid.

If an airdrop ask for a transaction fee better not to join or participate on it because it would definitely scam you because an airdrop is intended to give free token without any payment being ask.

I agree with you and I think this is because crooks want to make money on gullible people.
Previously, those who did  an Airdrop, set a goal to attract people to his project and put to their project like a child but now everyone only thinks about money...
people have not yet forgotten how to believe because scammers sometimes earn.

There are plenty of such scams because most of the people had joined some legit airdrops and they have their own stories about it. like how they easily promote it and get some huge amount of money from that promotion. nevertheless, the people who fell victims are those who are greedy and cannot see some hype about the campaign and they quickly jump to promote it without some research about the project.

after 2017 I have never joined any airdrops and I have never seen such an airdrop either, I also agree with you by calling this "scam-drop" which is just scammers looking for a little begging in participants and should stay away from something like That is, the real airdrop is not asking any fees.

I totally agree with you, few years back, Airdrops are free and anyone could participate. I mean it's a way of advertisement and getting more people to join your project community and discuss more about your project. But these scam drops like you said it don't care about this, all they are after is money and crooked way to get it.

I am also very limited in participating in the airdrop because it is a waste of time and almost no quality projects. Airdrop is free of all, remove it from your memory when fee requests or anything else.

If they charge for airdrop then it is a scam airdrop campaign. While there are some airdrop campaigns that actually payout after sending a fee, it's still a risk. They can be trusted if the project is popular and good. It is better to avoid such airdrops.
why take risks with tokens/coins that will be "shitcoin/token".  I have never participated in Airdrop since 2018, everything will just be a collection that contaminates the wallet, some pay but the value is much smaller than the exchange fee.  it's better to just avoid all forms of airdrops that ask for fees from potential coin recipients..

Not all coin from airdrop as collection in your wallet because many airdrop coin have higher price than ICO or bounty coin, just how lucky you are when receiving new coin from airdrop. I just have opinion during airdrop not need to send fee I will join all because get got lucky and bigger chance after joining many airdrop will get big chance with airdrop coin have higher price, I have miss with many airdrop and see my friend sell coin on higher price but now I will never for missing new airdrop again although look not potential, look what happen with bsc airdrop and how much coin raise to higher price.

What's worse, if you have to give your email to participate in the airdrop, of course this is a sensitive matter. We also do not know whether our email will be kept confidential or not. I say this because I used to participate in airdrops a lot and now my emails are full of spam from other airdrops that I have never participated in. Does this mean that our e-mails are being used for other purposes or are deliberately being traded? I don't want to speculate here, maybe those who are here must have experienced it.

Look I don't hate airdrops as much as I hate the fake ICOs because airdrops are giving you free coins and one should have no regrets and complaints with something they got for free. Yes you have every right to be upset and make better choices next time but at the end you are getting them for free and if even 9/10 are scams you still got something from that 1 legit airdrop.

The ICOs is where the market becomes worst because they take away money from investors and do nothing apart from fake promises of the price to the moon. I stopped investing in almost all ICOs after being fooled by a few and now I only invest in coins which are listed on decent exchanges at least.

Airdrop have easy task for earning new coin without waiting long term like ICO project, agree with you hate many fake ICOs project only get benefit for developer and after ICO sold they gone and run away without get listed coin on the market. Maybe next time we should careful which one bounty campaign have to promote because when promoting fake ICOs we will become part for promoting bad ICO for investor, maybe bounty manager have know which one fake ICOs project so bounty participants is not make mistake when promoting bounty campaign and get many investors.

I am happy and excited to participate in the airdrop, because the task of this activity does not take a long time, but I have never come across an airdrop that asks participants to get some coins, if I find the airdrop I will of course ignore it, because this will make doubt for me to the team in their seriousness in carrying out their project.

If there is any crypto enthusiast that is expecting a huge reward from airdrop that person is like chasing a shadows, the era of earning decent rewards from airdropping is gone for good, during ICOs in 2017 a lot of projects also give out free airdrops without demanding for any fee in return except filling some forms thus I can collect as many airdrops as possible luckily some of those coin has value when listed then, however scam-drop is the other of the day now.

Airdrops is not the same as before, most of the airdrops nowadays is scam and will require their participants to send a few amount of payment to receive the free drop which will not have any value at all. In short, participants will be paying for the token that is useless and nothing to expect even after a few months of waiting for it to have a value.

if you don't participate in 2018 then what about in 2020? Did you get a thousand rich opportunities with massive airdrops like Uniswap? This is very simple, you only need to claim the token before September 1 and it's free.

Airdrops that don't ask for fees mostly end up in scams, especially if it's clear that asking for fees from participants, of course, it can be said to be a permanent scam
