Since we are not sure, investment in altcoin is only the safest option.

OP, your choice is a smart one as it's evidenced that every Bitcoin rally always pulled the alts. However, I have observed too that altcoins begin to rise towards the end of every Bitcoin bull run. Investors at the time would pull out profit from Bitcoin investment to invest in altcoins. That has been the pattern in the past. All you have to do is wait for the right time by checking the dominance of Bitcoin in the market. Once dominance gets below 60%, get your arsenal ready to go all in.

You've need a good setup plans from time to time. There's impact from each time the market moves, what is important is you always have
backup plans and patience to wait for you to harvest your benefits. It happened from the past that each investors who gained a lot from bitcoin rally divert their money to alts.

If you place your investment in the right place and time, the next thing that you are doing is collecting
those profits from your investment, plan ahead and stick with where you see progress from your investment.

Bitcoin is king of all coins, it has such a huge domination over all other coins that while we have altcoins under half of their ath, we already broke over ath in bitcoin. It has such a domination that if you calculate the market cap of ALL altcoins, it is still not as big as bitcoin. So long story short there is a reason to buy bitcoin and if you ignore that reason and go with altcoins.. well you would be still fine as long as you are not all in fiat.

I know people, millions of them, billions of them all stay in fiat, and invest into things that will make them more fiat not realizing that you could have as much fiat as you want as long as you are on the outside they will never let you be rich enough and with one bad move you could go back to poverty, even from a billion dollar richness, all depends on who you know. Whereas bitcoin will always be bitcoin and altcoin will always be altcoin.

I ain't sure you can safely say that and be correct. Investment in Bitcoin doesn't give the type of ROI investment in altcoins gives. Well, you can say there is much risk investing in altcoins than in Bitcoin but not that it doesn't worth investing on it. Only what you've to do is take time and pick viable altcoins with potential and invest on. Admittedly, this is difficult to do anyway. It's not a guarantee that the potential tokens will eventually turn out right. Well, Bitcoin also crashed beyond repairs at different points in its history. Those who picked Thorecoin or YFI (and its pairs) are already laughing on their way to the bank.

At the end of the day they are not really all that different if you ask me. Depends on the altcoin you are investing, if you are investing into something very tiny and small, you could probably make a lot of money versus the market prices, however if you are investing into the known ones, the amount of difference is not really that huge I believe. I mean having your money on bitcoin or on ethereum will not have a huge change for now, maybe a bit of difference but not worlds apart type of difference.

This is why I believe we should not really care about what is going to happen with bitcoin vs alts because they are basically the same thing. So, I would say the only positive alts have is that you can diversify your portfolio, bitcoin is bitcoin and only one thing, whereas if you put your money into alts, you could do so with 10 of them and diversify.

I think I was unfair when I make the statement but the reason is that from the history of crypto investment every investors usually invest big fraction of their fund in Bitcoin and thats what every legitimate crypto investment adviser will declare.

Truth remains that most of us don't even want to assign any credibility to the alts. If any alts had had the type of crash Bitcoin had from 2018 till early this 2020, I guess none would've still kept faith with it. Part of the thing that keeps Bitcoin going is the community trust in it. I have seen wonderful projects go down and get abandoned by their own devs and the community. I think it's about time we gave the alts that benefit of trust too.

Bitcoin is always that kind of volatile  It is your own choice what altcoin will you go, We can't generalize all altcoins but some altcoins who experience bull run at the same time as bitcoin is now experiencing price corrections.

I am not against the idea of putting your money into altcoins, that doesn't really sound like a bad idea at all, the reason is funny of course, to say that bitcoin is volatile so you are going to altcoins sounds more like "alligators are too dangerous, so I deal with crocodiles" because they are basically the same thing but different name. Which means bitcoin is very volatile I agree with that but altcoins are very volatile as well, they are all crypto currencies and they all act about the same.

However altcoins dropped a lot in bitcoin price while gaining a lot of dollar price, I think that is why it is important to realize we could have another increase in altcoin prices, they  could probably reach back to what they were in bitcoin price and that could end up with a lot of profit for many people. So I am fine with altcoin investment, even if you are doing it for wrong reasons.

Just let them be on what would be the things that theyre trying to do and if they do saw that Altcoins is much better then its up to them but as mentioned on theres no point if you do try to switch

You sound as if altcoins are free of volatility too, I accept that it's more risky to invest on bitcoin right now, I've learnt that investing on crypto when price is going higher is always a bad move, altcoins are the best choice right now but Bitcoin is still the better investment choice if not that it's at a new ATH right now.

The higher bitcoin goes up the more risky it becomes, I wont dare enter bitcoin investment right now too and I've already make good ROI when I entered some months ago, the only safer investment plan left is altcoin so yes you are right if you try avoiding bitcoin investment right now, if one have to buy back it should be when bitcoin is in red pool of blood once again

Just because one or two coins went down doesn't mean that altcoins are doing bad neither, I understand that XRP is going through something but that is only XRP and when you look at other coins they are doing fine. Look at ethereum for example, did it dropped? It has been going up for a while now, and didn't cared about this project.

Do not think of all altcoins as equal, as I have repeatedly said before coins that are tied to one company or one person will eventually go down, there is no doubt about that, BSV, BCH, XRP, USDT and even maybe BNB because binance controls it, and one bad move by binance could make it go down. So at the end of the day I would say stay away from all the projects that has an "owner", look at bitcoin and ethereum and similar projects, they have no owners. Altcoins in that group are still amazing to invest if you can.

Nay but DeFi is a competition investment and it investors flock to the project thats making waves so if another unique DeFi project is created it may win over YFI remember Compound (COMP) which once does well in the market before YFI but currently not doing well now. YFI it maintains it surge and reputation due to the limited maximum supply. Besides, the others Yearn farm project we have now can be created by the YFI team to keep the price of YFI.

Yes, I'm sure they still have some pretty serious problems right now. XRP will start delisting from the major exchanges and maybe it will also affect other altcoins. there may be another effect on the current bull run
