It seems to me more logical to choose a situational "leader" - in certain situations it can be bitcoin, and a set of altcoins, or a mix, when it is logical to invest in both bitcoin and alts. You can't mindlessly choose just one concept!

This is true, it isnt bad to put up some money on altcoins but be sure that you do know on what you've been doing.Alts doesnt really give out
some guarantees when it comes to future or potential but with those top rank ones then you can at least have some alternative when
it comes to investment decisions but when you do see some opportunity then why wont engage? People will just normally be
looking up for chances for them to benefit out.

Exactly, people who have an idea about what was happening in the year 2017, it is not a good idea to invest in Bitcoin when it is at a high price. Better focus on other potential altcoins which has a higher probability of chances to increase their prices, still those coin prices are cheaper in the exchanges which we can afford them.

True. altcoin can be a good idea ONLY IF you have the capability of analyzing and predicting whether the alt has future or not and that's the hardest thing because most of people invests to alts out of their guts without reading the projects  whitepaper or even the technical aspect or implementation of problem solving and that's where people gonna lose out money because they just don't know what they're investing into.

I'd say stick with bitcoin if we don't know about the project we gonna invest. It's safer that way.

In recent days the price of ethereum have been bouncing higher than bitcoin. Investing on bitcoin assure profit, and there are more altcoins that provide with much higher profitability. By this times bull trend we haven't got bigger growth/bull trend with altcoins. Probably we can expect a bull run with altcoins sooner. With that into consideration it is good to stay with altcoins.

I know what the point that you want to deliver to us, since Bitcoin price already high you choose to invest on Altcoin, right? But as i know, altcoin price mostly follow Bitcoin price, the only condition that altcoin show their truly price is when Bitcoin price sideway and relatively stable. So, its better you keep some bitcoin until that condition meets. Or maybe try to accumulate some altcoin which have really low price, but its a little bit risky.

It's not bad not totally choose bitcoin, we also need some altcoins that have huge potential in upcoming years. We can buy some alts at cheaper price compare to BTC that have expensive price that almost $40k today. In long term, we should prefer BTC in any cost. BTC will remain dominance in different aspect of investing in cryptocurrency. I think it will pump more in upcoming years to come. Good alts like ETH, ADA, DOT and other altcoin have great potential in the market if he's staying with it it's fine. I think he's thinking that if BTC will pump alts will also follows.
