Ajax lost the lead to PSV.  However, the victory they won in the Feyenoord match they played yesterday was very important.  If the Ajax-Feyenoord match had ended in a draw, PSV would have been ahead by 3 points.  Thus, Ajax consolidated its position ahead of Feyenoord.  They continue to follow PSV closely.

Ajax may have temporarily lost top spot. But I believe that very soon they will be able to recapture their place. Because PSV may be playing well this season, but Ajax's overall performance is much better. Especially their defense is awesome. Ajax has conceded just 4 goals in 17 matches. As I have seen in the Champions League, even the strongest teams have struggled to score against Ajax's defense. Ajax will play against PSV on January 23. Hopefully by winning this match Ajax will be able to come to the top of the table again.

I think so. Ajax is the best team in this league. Maybe PSV is now at the top of the table. But, Ajax will try their best to lead the league again. Ajax has been performing in the Champions League ever since. That's why they had to focus on the Champions League match. So they lost points in a few matches. Ajax can regain their top spot if PSV loses a match. Only 1 point difference between the two teams.

Yes maybe now PSV has a slight advantage after they failed in the european league and allows them to now fully focus on league matches, but it's different with ajax who still have to play in the last 16 of the champions league and of course they have a pretty solid schedule now this, but even so, I think the opportunity for ajax to coup PSV from the top of the standings is still wide open, especially in week 20 they will face each other, I really salute ajax this season which has a pretty strong defense and even they just conceded 4 goals so far in the league.

Ajax already played against strong teams like Real and Chelsea in 2019, with good results, do you remember that? The current squad is more mature (same goes for the bench) and even more a unit compared to the 2018/2019 squad. Ajax defence is one of the strongest part of their team they have two potentially world class centre backs in Timber & Martinez. Blind is class as always and Mazroui is a technically gifted right back who was there in 2019. Only weak point we have is our goalkeeper he's playing well so far but need a better keeper. Hopefully Onana gets to play regularly before the round of 16. In today's match against Fortuna Sittard, I expect a win.

I'm enjoying the high level of competition for the lead among top three teams in the league now. Feyenoord are a little away from PSV and Ajax after losing to Ajax by 2-0 the last time though. But the gap is not big in the end. As long as Feyenoord and PSV keep their performance up until the end of the season, Ajax won't be able to pull away from them clearly. And I wouldn't reject a different team than Ajax to become the champions.

I also see it very relaxed for Ajax, even if they have now fallen behind PSV, but overall it is a very close race for first place between Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord. Nobody expected that before the season, Ajax has a very good defence as you wrote, even in the Champions League group stage they only conceded 5 goals. With Liverpool and Bayern they are the only team to have won all group stage matches. On 23 January will be a very important game for both.

In the next few hours Ajax will play against Sittard, on paper of course Ajax will win and I have no doubts about that. But even so, I personally don't have a strong prediction of how big the winning score will be for Ajax in this match, considering that Sittard is trying hard to get out of the relegation zone, but at the same time Ajax are competing with PSV at the top of the standings. ajax like it or not they have to be able to win again in this match because apart from reducing the margin from PSV they also have to at least secure their points so as not to be overtaken by Feyenord.
On the other hand, even though today's match against Feyenord was quite difficult, but these two teams (Ajax and Feyenord) I feel that I will be able to win the match before this holiday break.
PSV on the other hand will also have an easy match tomorrow and I feel they will still be at the top of the table now

Yesterday, all 3 leader teams completed their tasks successfully and confidently. So they all had a perfect start to the winter break. What more could a fan ask for? Ajax has a very good defence this year and with Tadic and Haller also very good goal scorers who are always good for goals. PSV still maintain their lead as they didn't make loss of points in their last game against G.A. Eagles. Of course, Feyenoord also shouldn't be considered as out of the race. Maybe the interval is 4 points with the first two but they are still having good results. At the same time, their next game is against Vitesse which can make things really difficult for them.

On paper PSV have the easier game of the three leaders, Feyenoord can advance once tomorrow and join Ajax and PSV in the short term, but Vitesse must first be beaten.

What a disappointing night it was for Feyenoord! They played a really tough home game against Vitesse and lost the game by 0-1. They conceded the goal in the 69th minute. And actually, they found the equalizer in only four minutes but it was disallowed by VAR decision due to handball. And they couldn't equalize the score in the remaining minutes. This caused them to get away even more from Ajax in the league standings. Because Ajax destroyed Utrecht by three goals they scored in the first half. And today, PSV are going to play an away game against Groningen. I think that PSV won't make a mistake and they'll take the lead back from Ajax.

PSV did the necessary and won the game and is now leader before the match on Sunday 23.1 against Ajax, the game could be a small preliminary decision even if the season is still long.

Also for the 3rd place it could get tighter again, very good if the season stays exciting and no team can break away.
