I understand that all teams at the top want to become champions, but that battle seems to be decided in favor of Feyenoord today. In my opinnion this win can be equivalent to win a final for the title, now they are really really close to win the championship.

Feyenoord is clearly champions after this big shocking win at home of Ajax because six points lead with just eight matches remaining is good for the leaders, Ajax which was clearly not good from the start of this season now have to be settled for the second spot if they are able to keep some better performance because PSV and AZ Alkmaar both are also looking for the better end of this season and few matches are important for them as well in remaining season.

Champions League is surely dream for the every top European team, so things are surely at his best for the newly champions if they are able to handle this all for next eight weeks and not play overconfident games which bring them down again.

Ajax were calling it like the biggest match of the season. But their performance wasn't like that exactly. I mean they were effective in their attacking side with scoring two goals. But they were really bad at defending on one hand which caused them to lose like 3-2. I don't understand how Ajax can lose even home. I know that it was a tough match as they played against the leader Feyenoord. But we are still talking about Ajax which like to dominate the Eredivisie most of the time.

They were even worse in the second half and this just eased things for Feyenoord to make a comeback and even win. Ajax must have wanted to keep an advantage of 2-1. But I don't think this was the right strategy for them. They shouldn't have played less offensive until capturing a relieving score in the match. The Ajax I know would have fought for at least one more goal in this important match.

In the second half, they became more desperate to score. They attacked a lot in the second half. And they succeeded. They managed to break the strong defense of Ajax. And now they are 6 points ahead of Ajax in the points table. It seems that Feyenoord is the most likely to win the title this year.

Hands up here, I know I wrote off everyone else and said the time to beat Ajax was gone with Schreuder out, but am so glad them Rotterdammers finally put the Amsterdammers to the sword. Pity about Alkmaar too but they were anyway no one's favourite to keep their overperformance.

It's still plenty of points though, and one can only hope Ajax doesn't remember how to chase down a pack.

It's not sad, it's just a reflection of the quality of Eredivisie -- if they want more spots, then they have to keep on improving (I want to say Ajax has to also stop being a feeder team to the rest of Europe but they're not changing their policy any time soon).

I already suffered a false dawn with Kuyt's winning team all those years ago so even if they do win this one, I'm not sure they'll go far in Europe (but wouldn't it be nice if they started also as Europa winners?).

The season was going pretty well for them, but it took some turn weeks ago. Also getting kicked out in the Europa League and now it comes down to Feyenoord's performance in the league and in the cup. Overall Feyenoord deserves to be where they are as they haven't lost a game in all competitions for over 20 games and the last one they lost in the domestic league was on September 18th. That's good enough to compete with Ajax.

I hope so, in fact, if they do end up in the group stage, I'm going to put an outright down on them. Should be a fantastic 100/1 at least. Just wish somehow they'd get enough prize money to buy really good players (or keep really good ones away from Ajax).

There are only 8 rounds left to play, 24 points in total, so I don't think the lead of 6 points is small, Feyenoord should be able to defend it well if they don't collapse, but I don't think so, as you write, Feyenoord are very consistent, unlike PSV and Ajax.

Ajax will certainly strengthen well in the summer, they have enough money due to the many sales, the many departures were just too much, including the coach.
