made an issue out of nothing

It was not "nothing". Thousands of families were separated and the government was ordered by court to stop doing that and to reunite them, which AFAIK they were unable to do because they fucked up the whole thing bigly (couldn't track family members etc). So it was quite something.

I know you're a huge fan of AOC but even GOP congressfolk weren't too happy about it, mostly because it was going to cost them the midterms.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I was talking about the children in cages, not family separation. And what were the numbers during the Obama/Bush era? Because I truly don't know, I just don't remember much talk about it then. Social media wasn't too big then either so perhaps people were angry but it didn't make the newspapers.

Government, the servant of the people

Isn't that what democracy is all about? Serving the people in your country.

Depends.  In a constitutional republic it is more about serving the constitution.

Yet, in the constitution, it is mostly a pledge to serve the people. The constitution is for the people, that is what our country's constitution is, I don't know in other country tho.

That's all I had to type in. Sure seems a lot more than just one. He did plenty of press conferences and took plenty of questions from the press "informally".

The question is, who cares if it's a "formal" or "informal" press conference? As long as you answer the media's questions, does it matter? Jen Psaki said we'll get a press conference at the end of the month, the world is waiting. What I hope to see Biden pressed on: Border crossings and what his plan is to deal with the influx of immigrants. School reopenings, hopefully some reporters will point out that the EU has schools opened without uptick in cases (data is clear). And hopefully about COVID relief -- Someone should ask about potential inflation rates skyrocketing due to spending.

I guess the answer is Tash, and the media, and to some degree I care as well.  Formal Presidential press conferences seem important for the country.  They aren't the same as just taking a few questions here and there or joint pressers where you can hand a question off to someone else.

I was only posting the stats to show it's not that big of an irregularity yet that Biden hasn't had one.  If he never has one, then yeah it would be.

The President of the United States has always had only 3 things that he - along with the rest of government - might control regarding you and me. These are:
1. Borders, as long as it has to do with corporations, and not simple people passing through with their personal property;
2. National banking and money;
3. Some of the contracts and agreements people make with the United States Government.

That's it.

If you want to take something over the border, make sure it is your own private property and not under contract to the government.

If you want to do this, make your own private money that is only used among people who agree to use it among themselves.

Regarding agreements and contracts with gov, recognize that you are not the person on the agreement. A simple way to prove it to yourself is to get the original of the agreement, and cut into the paper with a sharp knife. Do the same with yourself... a not-very-deep cut on your arm. Which one bleeds? If only you bleed, the contract/agreement isn't you. If you signed it, however, make sure that the paper person does the job required by the agreement.

Or you could block rescind your signature of all contracts with government. But watch out for this, because you perjure yourself if you expect government to do something regarding a canceled contract, later.

Cool

So if someone wants to escape exit tax just buy bitcoin and take it over the border. Its not government issued money and president has no control of it. Same with contracts and agreements if it is done peer to peer without goverment middlemen. Border bitcoin does not have a border.
So formal or informal no matter in some peoples opinion. Then where is the borderline, where does it stop?

It starts with the understanding that that all government directives are aimed at persons, not people. Persons are artificial entities. But sometimes persons are people, when deluded people - men and women - accept that they are persons.

The problem is wiggling - except if you love to take public servants to court on a regular basis for harming you or your property - around past ignorant public servants so that you don't waste your time on their accusations that you are one of their persons, to be controlled.

Mostly they don't shoot people dead on the spot. Usually they simply attempt to enforce service on people, or arrest them. If they arrest someone, they really better know what they are doing... which they mostly don't. Why? Because arresting someone involves hindering their right to travel... their right to go from point A to point B unhindered. Such has been adjudicated by American law to be an infraction of rights granted to people by the 1st Amendment.

Further, if they try to apply a name on a warrant or indictment to you, they can't, until you accept such. So, you have to keep your head screwed on, and tell the judge before trial - a meeting in his chambers - that:
1. The indictment person isn't you, as proven by the knife blood stab into the indictment and into you. One of them doesn't bleed, but if it does, it isn't your blood;
2. You want a statement signed by the judge, that you can show to law enforcement, that the person on the indictment isn't you... so that they leave you alone;
3. Give him fair warning that if he persists in maintaining that the indictment person is you, you will have to file charges against him in his capacity as a man for endangering your life, health, freedom, and your right to pursue happiness. Judges don't like a record that is tarnished like this. It takes them off the job for a while, and might take them off permanently if you prove your case against them.

Next, you need to be a man (woman) and take the necessary steps depending on the result of your meeting.

Government has a job to do. It's only duty is to uphold your right to pursue happiness, as long as you don't wrong someone else. The whole Constitution process is set up for precisely this. It isn't set up to tax men and women. It is set up to tax persons and taxpayers.

The Constitution Preamble sets out the reason for the Constitution. When any governmental authority acts against the Preamble, such governmental authority is acting outside his position in government. He needs to be prosecuted for wrongdoing against anyone. The difficult part is finding out how he harmed you. But it is easy when he attacks you directly for simply exercising your rights.

Now, note that I am talking about the USA. People in Britain and Canada do it differently, although similar.

Joe Biden migrant crisis - https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/03/08/us/joe-biden-news#a-surge-in-migrant-children-detained-at-the-border-is-straining-shelters

A few updates - These "migrant detention centers" are ran like literal prisons with children being separated from close relatives https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/03/06/migrant-children-facility-used-house-minors-separated-family/4587455001/

3200+ children *alone* unaccompanied by adults are in one facility. Children are sleeping on the floors, being exposed to COVID, no masks, no social distancing, aren't being allowed outside, and crammed into facilities that are meant for adults. They saw 78k migrant crossings at the border in one month, a decade high. Somehow this isn't a crisis, interesting. Any Biden defenders want to take a whack at this one because maybe I'm missing something and this *isn't* all terrible.

Good for Biden!

https://www.nbcboston.com/news/national-international/president-biden-says-he-has-been-briefed-on-georgia-shooting-motivation-still-to-be-determined/2331712/

Does not immediately assume a motive, like the left has done already, and calls for the results of the investigation regarding the Georgia shooting. Jen Psaki took the opportunity to blame the increase in attacks against Asian Americans on Trump, no less.

News on the shooting so far is that it looks like some incel shot up Asian massage parlors because he had a sex addiction. Could be a racist hate crime as well but I haven't seen much updated info on the motive.

Joe Biden is NOT President, he just confirmed that Kamala Harris is President.
Actually, Obama is the real President, having his 3rd term through puppets...

Joe Biden is NOT President.

Yes, he is.  Joe Biden is the President.

It sucks not getting what you want, but just pretending like you did doesn't change reality.  Stop lying to yourself and come back to reality, it's not as bad as you think.

I'm having a tough time finding sources for the odds that he completes his first term, but a hypothetical question -- does Biden's health serve as a liability for democrats to the point where they would want Biden to resign and just run Harris? Does it perhaps depend on a competent republican candidate?

Because if Trump gets nominated (god help the world if that happens), then you might as well just run Biden. But if a decent candidate gets nominated, what are the chances they just shove Biden aside?

Joe Biden is NOT President.

Yes, he is.  Joe Biden is the President.

It sucks not getting what you want, but just pretending like you did doesn't change reality.  Stop lying to yourself and come back to reality, it's not as bad as you think.

You'll never win here, just a PSA. He either can't or won't come back to reality.

He doesn't even need to fight to win. Suck it up, and accept the fact that your president is Biden.

^^^ You're an example of the misunderstanding of most people.

The US Government gave the States autonomy, except in two areas:
1. Borders;
2. Some monetary policy.

The US Government offered the States the right to contract with them, same said the people.

The Constitutional border control the US Government has over the States has to do with interstate and international commerce, and military protection.

The monetary policy has to do with the fact that the States have to use gold and silver as money if they aren't going to use Federal money.

People, themselves, aren't controlled by the Federal Government until they contract with the Federal Government. Got a birth certificate? Got a Social Security number. Got contracts with banks that all use the Federal Government money? You're contracted with the corporation, and under their control by contract, to some extent.

Biden ain't your president, or mine. He is president of the United States Corporation, like any corporate CEO might be president of his corporation. Simply because you are contracted with the Corporation, doesn't make Biden your president. You have the right to rescind your signature off all the contracts any day of the weak you like, so that you are not even contracted with the Corporation any longer.
