Lots of people are mad, but don't confuse madness with blindness. Most of the Dems are simply blind. If they would open their eyes, and think a little, they would become Reps... or Libs. Many of them have.

Trump was an exquisitely crafted and tuned tool against so-called 'left' wingers, and he got stunning results.  The mention of his name sent idiots into an almost literally blind fury and they lost an semblance of coherence or reason.  Anything that was not desired by the power structure (say, treating 'covid' with effective medicines, the lab created virus hypothesis, etc) could be torpedoed just by having Trump pretend to say some words about it.

The most amazing thing to me is that Trump was HIGHLY culpable in some really bad stuff.  Treason against the country of the U.S. for one, but there were many more.  Not one time in Trump's four years to I remember any 'left winger' even brush on the stuff which were actually problematic.  Their complaints fell into two categories: Trivial and absurdly untrue (e.g., he was an 'anti-semite'.)  The simple reason for this is that the 'left' and the 'right' are exactly the same at the top, and most of the peeps are led around as easily as a cow with a ring through it's nose.

Here's a laughable story, Joe Biden's press secretary accused Republicans of wanting to defund the police because they didn't vote for a "rescue package" bill that probably had no less than half a dozen provisions that were batshit insanity. Only need to look at the record of every democratic city council or mayor from LA to NYC to Minneapolis to Chicago which have defunded their police force, or redirected funding, aka defunding. Clearly Republicans are at fault here for the lunacy of democratic proposals.

I'm not attacking Biden. I feel sorry for him and his handlers. He is very old, not in control of himself, a bit senile, and everybody owes him some sympathy. I've read deeply into it. It's a stupid idea. They want to take away funding to support social programs, similar to taking money, pouring gasoline on it, and lighting it on fire.

The US's greatest myth is that throwing money into some useless social program will solve your problems. As if it worked for the US education system. Not everything is a right wing conspiracy or misrepresentation. Since Saint Floyd tragically passed away, left wingers felt the need to go on a tirade against police.  Sending mental health counselors or social workers to calls that police normally respond to fail to account the reason why police are even dispatched in the first place, for emergencies. You do not call the 911 to have a social worker sent out.

And not like democratic politicians would ever know this, but domestic violence and mental health calls are by far the most dangerous calls police dispatched to, they turn violent on a dime.

Republicans we’re quoting BLM and left wing extremists when they say Democrats want to “defund the police”. As Gyfts noted, it was Democrats in cities that actually defunded the police. It was Democrats running for local elected office that ran on defunding the police and followed through.

The police is funded on a local level and the federal government contributes very little to police budgets. Opposing the “infrastructure” bill is about as close to defunding the police as being opposed to NK is to being opposed to democracy.

I see Republicans starting to push for Biden to be tested for his mental competence, taking a note from Democrats and their treatment of Trump. I think this is a bit dangerous as it’s fairly clear the guy is not quite as mentally sharp as anyone being paid for a job should be. While many might think it would be funny to prove our president has mentally declined to the point he is unfit for office, I feel like it’s a dangerous position to be in as a county and I’m sort of hoping we can keep our heads down for a couple years without any major incidents and try to forget this happened.

By this standard, Trump 'ended the U.S. occupation' about 5 times.  But then those bad bad (((mooslims))) did something bad and we had to stay.

I remember Biden saying he'd pull troops out of Afghanistan by 2014, very naive of me to believe they meant all troops. Predictable result -- give up Afghanistan to the Taliban, US sends more troops out to handle terrorists, next President promises to bring troops home, brings them home, new vacuum forms and leadership is transferred to the next Islamic extremists.
