in my family my father along with his brothers actually buy lottery tickets a lot and once my uncle won a really good amount and he became senseless, although that amount didn't last long as he spent it on buying some useless cars planning to make a profit out of it by renting out cars, but the effect of a sudden surge of happiness is real, if I didn't see it I wouldn't have believed, more like hallucinations.
