I've reported a bunch of one-liner bots and they have already been dealt with but I keep finding more.

See this topic for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5312326.0

They say something somewhat related to the topic so at first sight they might not seem so obviously bots.

I've highlighted the first reply because he is quoting another bot.

The second one is also a bot. Let's see how their post history looks like:

Any idea why this happens? After the few minutes it has taken me to write this post, another bot has posted: TONY999

I've already reported all of them.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Looks like someone has paid to have bots spam that particular coin on this forum...
- AFAIK, it's no longer as effective as it used to be [SEO] or maybe it's just one of those pump and dump situations [I could be wrong].

There are people like this guy offering bumping services to people who are not aware of the new rules in the Altcoin section. If you see bots bumping threads it's just a scammer scamming another scammer.

I made a little research on the guy I posted but have not so much free time to dig more into it.

I don't think this spam is related to bumping services.
Below are a few of topics these spammers have posted in.

Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto?
Is Bitcoin's price drop to 30K healthy?
[CHART] Bitcoin Inflation vs. Time
Marathon Invests $150 Million In Bitcoin

It doesn't make sense to bump these topics.
They are probably trying to farm accounts and seems that they are not aware of the merit system.

That might be true for the first screenshot in OP where the bot account talks about sushi, but in the other examples, they talk about bitcoin and the supply of money. I don't see an incentive there.

Two possible reasons:

1. They are trying to farm accounts by getting the required activity levels up and possibly getting a few merits here and there.
2. Their ultimate goal is to spam a website/service, but they are starting out slowly with a few generic posts to avoid getting reported and nuked straight away.

Yeah, those guys are bumping other threads I didn't really dig those users. Most of the time are either account farmers or ann thread bumpers. They could also be just testing the bot before they engage what they are after, or just a newbie playing with a bot. It's a good idea to keep an eye on then if they don't get banned.

Edit: out of sMerit, please is someone can send some to the OP Smiley

I've noticed this as well, and I have to say I was quite surprised after not seeing as much of that kind of one-line nonsense as I used to.  Before the merit system (and probably even well into 2019), it seemed like those one-line shitposts were everywhere--which is what made me want to pull my hair out.

Luckily this looks like an isolated incident, and I don't think it's going to become a trend (hopefully).  Just report the garbage to the moderators as you see it, and it'll probably get dealt with promptly.  I've reported about three posts for being of extremely low quality in the past day, something that I hadn't done in a long time.

Just a heads up:

as spammers come back due to the bull market we're having(or have had), it became a hobby of mine to hunt for these spammers. And if you're interested, the Patrol feature of Bitcointalk is surely handy! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5115990.0

You can check it with boards you want to find spammers. 67 is for Altcoin discussion; 159 is for Announcement (Altcoins), 7 is for Economics, 34 is for Politics & Society. Patrol is for newbies.
