IMHO, the best Sport to bet it on is the Sport where you're interested into and have enough knowledge about the game, the association, the players, and even the coaches. These knowledge maybe enough to let you analyze match ups and mitigate the possibility of lossing even betting against the odds.
NBA has been a good betting for Sports for me, simply because I can bet like 3-5 times everyday as there are usually 8 games and 16 teams are playing everyday.
So, when you lose from the current match, then maybe you'll win from the next one. Or win them all, worse lose them all. That's the nature of gambling anyway.

Typical gamblers care nothing about the type of game but the chance to win is what they are looking mate and i think that is the main objective of this thread to ask for the opportunity of winning.

No I don't agree since typical gamblers have specific type of games or options they like since imagine you place your bet on the sports you didn't like to see and you just place your money out of curiosity you will possibly lose even if you place a small amount. Indeed, there's a saying in sports that if you bet blindly, you'll lose, it's always true that is why we have to focus on the game that we are familiar with, so we will have a decent chance of winning. In my case, I'm a fan of basketball and I'm focusing on NBA, and I believe I'm on a profit side for now, but it's a long way to go, so I cannot assure profitability in the long run.

I watch a lot of snooker and I think I know the sport quite good, but even then it is not always simple to bet on it.
My ROI is only slighty positive after a lot of bets. Quite often surprises happen, especially in the smaller tournaments.
One thing I have learned, I only place bets on the winner (no handicap).

I never bet on snooker. Its a cool sport to watch but I just don't know enough about the players to make a bet. I think as long as you are comfortable with the sports and have all the information it's good to bet on it. Keeping track of your ROI is mandatory, because if we don't make a profit long term, it would be better to switch for some other sport.

The chances for a gambler to win in the sport that they know better will be bigger and they can place a big or small amount of money. But yeah, maybe they will place a bit of money in the sports they do not know just because of curiosity, but they will not repeat it in the next match, especially if they lose before. But they will place in the next match if they learn more about that sport.

I am just kind of curious if anyone has done any research or has any opinions on which sport they think is the best sport to gamble.  I guess I'm looking for both opinions and hard data.

Personally I bet on NFL Football the most, followed by the NBA, MLB, College Basketball and every once in a while I'll bet on a big Soccer ( football for you Euros ) game like the Classico.  For me, Football by far seems to be the easiest sport to bet on.  Baseball and Basketball are too random and their betting lines tend to be a bit more confusing.  With the NFL only having 16 games vs MLB with 162 and the NBA with 82..It seems like there is much less of a chance for an upset or sloppy game vs the other two where the regular season simply doesn't mean nearly enough.

Just curious what you guys think..

1)Cricket
2) Football

These two are on top my betting list and I aslo palce some small bets on NBA,MLM,Formula 1 because I also follow them but not much.Some gamblers try to take risk and go out of the box to place bet on any game which is there strategy but try to avoid such things because this could lead you to loss if you are new to gambling industry.

Yeah esports got me considering profits compared to any other sports in my more than five years of gambling. I do not have any specific reasons why esports got me good profits whereas normal sports weren't. Because I am watching and I am interested on both of these sports events at the same level still predicting in esports is somehow feasible for me for some hidden reasons.

I guess I have bet on more than 8 different sports as I am following all of them. Probably, having interest on more sports must be the reason why I am not profitable in real sport events.

If you know a certain sport very well that is probably the best sport to bet on! You are correct but at the same time you are not, esports in theory are no different than any other sport in the sense that in order to be profitable you need to know a lot about the esport you have selected, however the main difference strives in the fact that esports are relatively new and the updates to the game can make it literally a completely different game and casinos have no way to accurately price the games as they do in traditional sports, which means it is easier for the player to get an edge over the casino if he knows the game very well.

There are people who love riskig a lot, the higher the risk the higher the profits to collect, not even they don't have any ideas with the game they are betting.

It leads them to keep losing, but the funny thing is, they continue doing same practice over and over, hoping that luck will permits them to recover back their loses.

Afterwards, not even they already win and got some decent profits, they continue and keeps on pushing for more.

No lesson at all, just regrets when they already got empty handed.

If you take large competitions, then events happen here quite rarely - once every half a year or a year, so this option is really good. But only if you are a fan of a certain kind of esport, if you take esport in general, then there are many competitions taking place all year round.

The last part of your post is interesting and makes a lot of sense. Esports is a new arena to Casinos, but I guess they will partner up with a lot of pro players to get a good overview of how to distribute the odds between the competing teams or players. However, they are not on the level of calculating odds as they are for other sports. Very good point.

I honestly could not get one point here; if NBA betting is profitable for someone does not mean it will be profitable for all other gamblers as well. I mean it is not like investing in bitcoin is profitable hence you also may try. It is completely different one. One gambler is losing at one end and another one is gaining at another end.

So, best sport to gamble cannot be same for every gambler and at the same time, when we do not follow any sport then betting on that may not be consistently profitable.

Overall, best sport to bet is definitely individual gambler specific and more precisely it may not remain same forever as a team/sportsperson's performance may vary according to their form and fitness.

I do not know how they can say that it is easier to bet on basketball, but perhaps you can ask them to teach you the way, so you don't curious and try it by yourself. Who knows, after they teach you, you can see something different and you can get an idea so you can try to bet on basketball. If you can make your analysis about the team from what they taught and win on it, that will be good for you because you can have two sports that you can bet on, and you will have more chances to win.

Not all the time you look out for the winning frankly, a sport you care less about can't be a sport you will find winnings easily as a bettor but those games or sports that you care about and you well understand should bring you close to your fortune than those you careless about IMO. I love sporting bets with my favorite teams players and i hate cricketing becasue am not in love with them.

When your friends brag about their successes (winning percentages), you should check the overall odds of their parlay - if it is very small then it is not surprising that they win often. Yes, and a high percentage of winnings does not mean that they are in the black. It's pretty easy to get a high percentage of winnings - bet on the favorite and you will win very often.

If we will considered Esports then probably DotA 2 and counter strike Go will be the top 2 choices of the people.
