I was of the same opinion That he should retire from being the face of Tesla and focus on politics, maybe going into the background would help see a clearer picture and he would use his political influence to buy more Favour for the company. He is the CEO of Tesla, Space X and still Top adviser to Trump.

In my own opinion Elon Musk was into BTC in order to maximise his cash return and to create more awareness for his Tesla Car business.
He was accepting btcoin as a payment to purchase tesla cars; aim to make it real life payment and later he ordered to stop receiving Bitcoin as a payment. He says due to environmental reasons.

For real? Or is it all just a drama for Elon to boost the image/reputation of his companies? We could never know what's behind Elon's mind. It seems his strategy isn't working, though. Especially when Tesla's stock price is in decline. If Republicans turn themselves against Musk, it will be game over for his business for good. Only a reconciliation between Trump and Musk will prevent things from getting any worse.

As for Trump turning against a crypto CEO, I doubt it. After all, Donald Trump has pictured himself as the pro-crypto President. He is the complete opposite of Biden which usually enacted bad crypto policies during his time in the WH. If there's someone Trump will turn against, that would be Chris Larsen (Ripple Co-Founder) and Brad Garlinghouse (Ripple CEO). It's no secret that Mr. Larsen made a huge donation to Kamala Harris' political campaign. Ripple CEO Garlinghouse met with Donald Trump several times. But it could be pure hipocrisy to keep his company (and cryptocurrency) afloat. Trump changing his mind about these guys, will have severe negative effects over XRP's market price. They say he was on a drug to deal with his depression so those allegations were spurred from him taking several dosages of it. He had publicly disclosed being medicated for this condition for several months now.
But that should not excuse him from making such claims to a sitting president regardless. Stay professional.

As long as nobody is going to jail, these kinds of things are going to continue to happen. The problem with the things here is that the law has a high bar for good prosecution. If I am not wrong, unless they can prove that they have made an agreement about these manipulations nothing will happen to them. So they need chat logs or recorded speeches, which as I said is very high. I hope that the markets mature with time on their own, as that will solve this problem without the government. As we can see, some things that worked to manipulate the price of Bitcoin from before like China banning it no longer really work.
