Manny Pacquiao has signed a deal to fight Errol Spence Jr. for the unified welterweight championship on Aug. 21 in Las Vegas, a source told The Athletic's Mike Coppinger on Friday.

Pacquiao, 42, also posted a social media promo for the fight, which will be available on Fox pay per view. The venue is expected to be the MGM Grand, the source said.

Spence, 31, is undefeated at 27-0 with his last fight coming in December against Danny Garcia. Pacquiao is 62–7–2 with his last win coming in 2019 against Keith Thurman.

I think I’m gonna bet on Pacquiao to win, he’s looking good value. I know he’s older now but you don’t lose your boxing brain, he’s still so fast too, one of the greatest ever.

This match will be the most awaited match by boxing fans in the world, especially Manny Pacquiao fans, because as far as I know Pacquiao hasn't competed in a long time so many doubt his current condition, especially when he has to face a boxer who is in pretty good shape with an unbeatable recordsince his debut in 2012, moreover Spence Jr until now has held two belts namely IBF and WBC.

Well seems legit that politics is part of this fight because this very moment Manny Pacquiao is making news in Philippines in regards to His stand for the political agenda now.
meaning this is part of the plan, for Him to come back fighting and also for His political career move.

Pacquiao should've stayed away from politics, it'll tarnish his reputation as a good person in the eyes of many people.

Why would he stay away, he is already a senator and it's just normal for a person who has the money to pursue his ambition, that is his ambition, it's either we support him or not, it's up to us voters. But, I disagree that it will tarnish his reputation as him being a politician is honest, but I would not vote for him as I think he is not capable enough to be a President.
