El-Salvador has always been setting new records for bitcoin transformation programs in the country and all these are done to help focus more on the people and how it adoption could benefit them at last, the government have been putting on various efforts to ensure that the people have the best standard through the effect of Bitcoin and other relevance achievements they accept to implement at the cause of time, they can't go less for now, because it has always been tremendous in seeing Bitcoin helping lives each day as long as it remains their alternative.
You can only experience good development from leaders that know the mind of their followers which is what El Salvador government is doing to make the country a place of favourable to people. We know that there are still people in El Salvador country that is suffering for capital or what to do to become a better person in the future, and such people are everywhere in the world, but for those that know how to read and write in a society they will learn some basic things of BTC and how to invest to generate massive profits that will turn them to a millionaires in the future. I really really admire the courage El Salvador government gather to make BTC legal tender in their country, because people of El Salvador are experiencing the progress of Bitcoiners, which up coming Bitcoiner generation will make sure BTC remain legal tender in El Salvador land.

I saw a post on the Pilipinas local board about El Salvador kids buying fastfood with bitcoin. It showed kids there buying food at McDonald's and paying with Bitcoin. It’s honestly amazing to think that at such a young age, they’re already exposed to bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Here in the Philippines, even just ordering at the computer counter in McDo can already feel intimidating for some people. What I mean by “intimidating” is not that they’re literally scared, but that they’re not familiar with how to use it yet. So imagine paying with bitcoin, that would probably feel even more complicated for many here in the Philippines..

They have revealed Bitcoin diploma 2.0, which I mentioned before but did you notice that they had previously provided daily education about Bitcoin for students aged seven to thirteen and launched that Bitcoin education system called "What is Money". As far as I know, through this program, students received three hours of Bitcoin education and financial education every week, as a result of which it is currently seen that the students connected to that program have already completed the "What is Money" pilot program, as a result of which they were given a Little HODler plushie as a gift. Therefore, it can be said this country has completed the development of Bitcoin Diploma 2.0 and is giving birth to the Bitcoin generation through it.

Here El Salvador has been able to present themselves to the world, no matter what decision they make about Bitcoin, it has become unique in the present time. Nayib Bukele will be able to build his country in his own way, because he has been educating the future generation about Bitcoin. Bitcoin education will be loved by children because they have created a system for all people, boys, girls, teenagers, young women, and adults, to learn about Bitcoin from an early age, if they receive Bitcoin education correctly, then Nayib Bukele will be able to present his nation to the world in the future.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

If you want to reduce the image size without causing distortions to the image, just adjust one of the parameters and remove the other parameter (like I did here).. The forum software will see the one parameter and then keep the image proportional and without distortion.
Upon further review, I see that even the original post by @Just Say was a little more distorted than it should have had been because it had both parameters in there.. Maybe the image would have had looked better with only one of the parameters. Like this:
|
1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Its really complicated situation knowing that our government have neutral stance on Bitcoin and its unfortunate that they didn't do anything to at least make people aware on its existence also on how they can use it. While in El Salvador they have this https://elsalvadorinenglish.com/2025/11/18/salvadoran-students-to-learn-bitcoin-basics-through-redesigned-national-curriculum/And this is why many people including kids out there know how to use and transact Bitcoin on merchants accepting it in their country.

Not all governments have such a positive view of Bitcoin, as does the government of El Salvador. Most governments do not care whether their citizens have the knowledge they need to learn about and understand Bitcoin, and how they can benefit from its adoption. All they care about is regulations that could potentially generate more tax for them... so it is not surprising that governments have an unfavourable view of Bitcoin because they do not find it important enough, especially in developing countries where corruption is rampant-- they are more concerned with projects that can line their pockets with more money.

True that government is focus not only with regulation they try to impose since they also target to implement taxation to those people using Bitcoin in their country. To sad to see that educating their citizens about Bitcoin is their less priority. But also its not always about corruption on why those things happen, because sometimes some government just worried to much on illegal activities happening and also financial instability since what they know Bitcoin is risky because its volatile asset. This is also the reason why they are cautious and can't decide well on how they are going to support it. While in El Salvador its actually good that they are using its fame to get opportunity to attract lots of investor to come in their country. Those attitude they made put huge difference on their country that's why they are gaining positive results with all actions they have done. Those doubting officials should look at the progress gotten by El Salvador so that they could get an idea on how they can adapt Bitcoin and take advantage on what it can possibly offer to them.

Obviously, when they have understood and adopted Bitcoin, they have also made a lot of progress with it. As they have made a Bitcoin logo for welcome at their international airport and also made a Satoshi Nakamoto logo and also made a lot of Bitcoin ATMs and there are many places where we can buy anything by exchanging with Bitcoin. The only country that has made progress in this way with Bitcoin is El Salvador, which has made a lot of effort and has improved it considering Bitcoin as good in the future. The United States has not yet reported any such progress about Bitcoin, they only try to keep Bitcoin in their reserve, lest it develop Bitcoin like El Salvador or make their country better with Bitcoin. Yes, they mostly prefer it so that they also benefit and the name of Bitcoin is associated with it.

These are all big words and window dressing! My friend flew there and became convinced that there was no point in paying with bitcoins in El Salvador, the exchange rate was not favorable, there were few goods and only in some stores. This story contains more advertising than real turnover. The only difference from other countries is that in El Salvador you will not be jailed or fined or taxed for paying with Bitcoin. This is such a sad story.

I don't think your friend is telling you the truth if truly he went to El Salvador country to observe, because there are some things you will see from El Salvador country you will wish the same thing to happen for your government to make BTC legal tender in that country. We all know that there is a benefit for any government that will take a good step El Salvador country took, because despite the negative things people say about BTC but El Salvador verify and discover a lot of progress in BTC adoption. El Salvador is a small country but they have experience Men and women that know how to improve financially in decentralized asset which is what some governments is planning to do to eliminate some errors that is not making investors in that country to lack anything.

Right, because if there's unfavorable issue like that exist for sure there's provably lots of people will complain regarding on those matter. Also having those unfavorable market exchange rates is not going to be good on the adoption they tried to do. Many people will avoid Bitcoin if they see those kind of disadvantage, so his friend provably didn't tell the truth and just want to spread misinformation towards what actually happening in El Salvador. We cannot say they are perfect since there's provably flaws on the system, but they are trying their best to learn and take advantage whatever things they could gain from Bitcoin.

That Jack Mallers quote really puts it in perspective. When 70% of the population has no access to banking, bitcoin as legal tender isn't just symbolic — it's actually useful. Curious how this plays out long term for everyday transactions there.

Government of El Salvador. Most governments are unconcerned about whether their population have the necessary information to learn about and understand Bitcoin, as well as how to benefit from its adoption. All they care about are regulations that could potentially generate more tax revenue for them... so it's not surprising that governments have a negative view of Bitcoin because they don't think it's important enough, especially in developing countries where corruption is rampant--they're more concerned with projects that will help them get richer.

You know ,Bitcoin has been allowed in their country since 2021. In these few years, they may have improved a lot in knowledge and education about Bitcoin. A few months ago, I saw a news where they made it mandatory for 7 to 8 years old students to learn about Bitcoin. And the government does not want to allow Bitcoin to make it easier for them to commit corruption. Because then they will not have control over the economy. If a currency based on Bitcoin is independent and beneficial for the people from an economy of unlimited money printing, if it is approved in the country, it will work against the sole dominance of that government. The government of El Salvador has approved Bitcoin to do something good for the people.

The government of El Salvador has approved Bitcoin to do something good for the people. El Salvador has made Bitcoin legal on that year then after so many years, maybe those trial and errors made on their adoption made give them lots of ideas. That's why they build solid educational programs which they teach kids about the existence and other things that can help those young people to learn more about Bitcoin. Some other governments resist the idea of adopting Bitcoin, maybe they just don't understand it and its good that they can now look forward on those things done by El Salvador. Bit coin had limited supply, that's why often it can possibly fight against corruption and maybe inflation to if they manage to handle it well. Its good for El Salvador that they give independence and alternative currency to use which could be beneficial to their ordinary citizens.

Young Salvadoran programmers are coming out of job market with strong grasp of money and digital assets, as programs such as Mi Primer Bitcoin and Bitcoin Diploma 2.0 are already put into country public school system, and other countries are watching them, such as Argentina and Bhutan. This act gives high level of honesty since planned savings of nation can be seen on public list and acts as warning against price hikes and scams that exist in more old systems, which depend on printing money. This setup, which saves estimated 400 million year in sending costs, and lets small sellers start credit histories, which they have never done before, to the average person, including the 70 percent with bank accounts, saves. It is my view that other governments are not ready to jump into it due to group slowness and fear of losing control, while El Salvador has been able to give its people choice that would not bind their money future to world banks.
