I don't think there is much chance for Roma to pass this round, Leicester City seem to be a stronger team and played better but they didn't win this game because they didn't score enough goals. I think they can play better in the next match and win the match. Feyenoord match was good and many goals were scored, I wonder how the next game will be

Leicester City is very difficult to break through AS Roma's defense and a 1-1 draw will be very useful for Roma to organize Leg 2 which will be played at their home, I think this is a strategy by playing defensively and maximizing the final result of the match to make it easier to arrange the 2nd leg which will be played at home.

I think the bookmakers have considered home advantage amongst numerous reasons before assigning the odds for teams. As a punter; it is better to go for goal attempts because it is hard to predict who will make the finals of the Europa Conference League. 4.7 odd Marseille will score ofcourse at home to Holland side Feyenoord. Mourinho will be banking on home advantage to spur his team to victory, Rodgers will rely on Leicester resilence and attacking prowess. Its a big tie coming up in a weeks time

Leicester City is very difficult to break through AS Roma's defense and a 1-1 draw will be very useful for Roma to organize Leg 2 which will be played at their home, I think this is a strategy by playing defensively and maximizing the final result of the match to make it easier to arrange the 2nd leg which will be played at home.

Maybe we can say the advantage is on the side of AS Roma because they managed to get a 1-1 draw at home to Leicester, but I think playing at home in the second leg does not guarantee As Roma can win, the result draw makes both teams still have a big chance to qualified for the finals and I think if rome continues to play like the first leg of course playing at home will not give them an advantage, in the first leg rome did score a goal first but the many mistakes made by roma made leicester city managed to reply to the goal, other than that Roma defensive method is not accompanied by an effective counter-attack and makes their attacks only reach a third of the field.

I have no doubts about AS Roma pretty sure they will go to the final with a draw this will be the first step for Rome to get a full ticket to the final
In terms of experience Leicester City has not been able to match Roma especially when playing away therefore Roma get 2 advantages at once which allows them to qualify for the final.

I would bet on Leicester City simply because it is a team from the Premier League which for me is the best league in Europe if not in the world for football and although Leicester City is not in top form they still have better players than Roma and the other teams listed for betting who will win the Conference League.

On a side note I may go see the final as this will be played in the city where I live now but I am fan of no team listed there so better not spend money on such event.If Liverpool were to be playin in this league I would definitely have been watching the game live no matter the cost of the ticket.

Too many games taking place at the same time is the worst thing, you cannot follow them all perfectly. ManU, EL and CL matches...
Dunno what's happening in Feyenoord 3-2 Marseille but I am a bit surprised.

I'd definitely have gone to watch either the Roma or Rangers game as the EPL one was pretty dull in first half, but have to admit improved drastically, especially for Chelsea after the restart.

Followed this competition and Europa on text but you know it's never really the same as actually watching.

Feyenoord was my pick on ticket, but so was Chelsea, so meh.

But you are missing two points, the first one is that Roma is in 5th place in Serie A and they are close (mentally) to the leaders, while Leicester is in 10th place in the EPL and it definitely does not have a winning mood in this position. Secondly, Roma's coach is Mourinho, who is undoubtedly a great specialist in English teams and the likelihood that Roma will be able to realize the advantage that it has already received is very high.

Even a team in the tenth position in the premiere league was the favourite to win the europa conference league with teams like roma and marseille who are second on their respective league i wonder if  we will see all four english teams in the european finals i think that's a posibility even if west ham team lost in the europa league at home.

These teams that are now left in the Conference league are not much different from the teams that are left in the Europa League. I think the winners of both tournaments are about equal in strength. Only the Champions League is of a different level. I have seen Feyenoord play football in a summary against Marseille, I have rarely seen such a nice match. There could have been just 10 goals. That is what you as a football fan would like to see.

Leicester have shown their poor form again, the draw at home is proof that Leicester have problems upfront. Roma have a solid line at the front and back, but it's bad luck for Mancini (for today's own goal incident). The second LEG later (which will take place at home to Rome) will decide the two teams, but my prediction is that Roma will advance to the final.

The Semi-finals Leg 1 between Leicester and Roma was an interesting match. Although, Leicester dominated the  game with about 68% ball possession. But, they performance wasn't impressive, they were finding it difficult to secure any goal. However, they were lucky enough to maintain the draw score after Mancini made a Own goal. Nevertheless, the Leg 2 will probably determine who qualify to the finals. While Roma have good playing tactics, and the favorite to win here. But, Leicester shouldn't be underrated too.

I wonder why Roma seemed bad to you? I read in the reports that initially it dominated, especially in the first half. If шe was bad, then obviously the opponent was even worse?


Do you agree that if you switch pairs between the Europa League and the Conference League, then there will be practically no difference either in the quality of the game or in the interestingness of the confrontations?

Feyenoord - Marseille was a far more enjoyable match than Leicester - Roma. Because we saw five goals in total in the first place. And it was a really competitive match as Feyenoord won by 3-2. Feyenoord were in the lead by 2-0 first in fact but Marseille still didn't start to give up on it. And they succeeded in equalizing the score at 2-2. Maybe Feyenoord still won by that score but I don't think this is a finished business for them. Marseille are a much stronger team when it comes to their home matches. They might still make a comeback from this and advance to the finale.

Well Feyenord is playing really good offensive football and dosent care much about defense. While Leicester and Roma are both teams that focus a lot on defence and counter attacks and that is why there was a lower amount of goals in that match

1-1 draw in the first leg makes both teams have the opportunity to qualify for the final.  AS Roma are certainly the favorites to advance because in the second leg they will act as hosts, even though playing in front of the public itself AS Roma still has to be wary of Leicester.  Jose Mourinho with a wealth of experience wants to prove to the world that he is not finished, Mourinho is very ambitious to win his first title with AS Roma.

When we look at the odds I can see that Roma has more chances but I can't say that I liked the team's performance very much, so I made such a comment but let's see which team will play better in the second match and qualify for the final (: In such matches, anything can happen, in fact just looking at the strengths of the teams or seeing the betting odds may not mean much

Yes, I noticed it too. A rather strange pattern is that if a strong club flies out of the Champions League and ends up in the Europa League (or initially ends up there), then instead of taking the title, it rather flies out of there. This is probably due to the fact that the Europa League has almost zero attractiveness for top clubs, so they don't try there. And I also heard that the income from playing in the Europa League is about 5 times less than the income from participating in the Champions League.

I do expect the necessary goals in the Marseille- Feyenoord match. Last week it became 3-2 for Feyenoord, but that could also have ended in 6-6. That will be by far the most open game of the evening that can literally fly in all directions. Normally I keep it at 1-1 but I'm thinking more towards 3-3 now. The other match will be between teams who should be even.
