Finaly roma managed to win a european trophy, even if their performance was not that good jose mourinho managed to find the way to the title and it seemed that his style is more fit for a knockout competition, but still after seeing their performance in the recent years i would say its a totaly deserved one.

regardless of the defensive tactics used by Jose Mourinho, I think they deserved to win this, Mourinho and the Roma players have played very well on the Europa Conference League stage this season and in the final I don't think there will be any surprises, AS Roma are very favorites to play. won and they defended really well.

Mourinho has won 5 final matches in all 5 finals he has in European leagues from Champions League to Europa League and Conference League. He has good tactics and luck to help him achieving that perfect win rate.

he ^Mourinho has done the best he could this season. With a very limited team secured participation through Serie A in the Europa League next year. He won the only trophy in which he had any chance. he lost a lot of games (some of them very ugly), but he won the most important ones.
after the fiasco in Manchester and Tottenham, this will mean a lot for his self-confidence (if he ever lacked it).
Still, obviously, he works much better with less resonant players than with stars. I hope he will be even more competitive next year.

as usual Mourinho applied a very solid defensive tactics and it was very merciful to ensure the Roma title.
Feyenoord actually played very well from the first minute, they dominated the attack and also the Ballposition but it was a pity, they were not able to penetrate the solid defense of AS Roma and I appreciate the performance of Rui Patricio kier Roma who appeared extraordinary.
this is Roma's only trophy this season after they haven't won any trophy for a long time, Jose Mourinho, their new coach this season, managed to present it to Roma supporters. Congratulations to AS Roma and also Mounrinho the only coach who has won all European titles, UCL, Europa League and Conference Europa. Mourinho deserves the nickname 'The Special One'.

In final Roma was the favorite but honestly Feyenoord played better. They couldn't find a goal, that was bad luck. Two shots hit the post, it could've been different story if they made it. Dessers couldn't do much, Smalling locked him great. Italian teams know how to defend, although they let some dangerous positions it wasn't Feyenoord's day. I could be happier if we saw some extra time action.
Roma was awful in their local league this season but this trophy made that up. I guess Mourinho have more credit now. I still don't think he can finish season with Roma next year.

Jose Mourinho is now the first manager to lift the UEFA Europa Conference league title after his team beat Feyenoord 1 nil. It was really a tough game for Roma who struggle through out the game. I must say, they were lucky in the game because of their goal keeper who didn't hesitate to punch and save shots trigger by their opponents. Mourinho is one of the best managers in the world and he is trying his best to fit in the shoes of the team. AS Roma still got more trophies to lift next season because this time, they will play like never before and their form would be in a good shape.

I've never watched this competition, but I was very surprised by the results from Mourinho and AS Roma. For Mourinho, this is a big success, even failed in Serie-A, because this is his first season at AS Roma and has succeeded in giving trophies even though it is not the main trophy being targeted by AS Roma. Then, for AS Roma, this became their first trophy after 14 years without getting a single trophy (CMIIW).

Because the conference league is just running for the first time and we see Roma as the first cup winner.
Mourinho did a very good job, I didn't think it would last 1-0 until the end because of Feyenoord's dominance of Roma from attack and so many chances, but Mourinho was able to do a great defense so Roma can win this season.
The players are really happy with what has been achieved and Mourinho is still good in terms of the final to get it done.

Seem like a parking bus strategy, AS Roma keeps it holds 1-0 until the finish. I don't watch the match also, but when we look at how they spent a lot of money for this year, they have deserved but with notes for championship 3 level, I think Mourinho still has not much to offer the trophy for this year, seem like failed. but, congrats for his struggle.

The goal came in the first half and so Mourinho strengthened the defense until the end but it couldn't be broken I admit Mourinho was able to overcome all of this.
It's worth what they have spent a lot of money to sign some players but with this trophy all has been healed after a long fast of not winning a trophy.
My hunch was strong, I won the bet which was Rome's choice to win.

Like most people, I was also favouring Roma to defeat Feyenoord last night. Roma were very determined to win the title here under Jose Mourinho's management. They had a quite nice season actually despite not being able to qualifying for the Champions League in the Serie A. It was better than last season for sure. Besides winning a European title is still a good achievement for them even if it isn't even the Europa League. Roma played decently in this game but Feyenoord found more goal chances than them too. Roma must consider themselves lucky about not dealing with extra time. Congrats to them!

This victory is the most beautiful gift for Roma with this prestigious trophy, even though it has only just started this season but in the future it will be tough competition as well.
The conference league is indeed the 3rd tier for the european region but this is something extraordinary for Roma who struggled to get in the final with Feyenoord.

I agree with this, did not watch whole match but I watched most of it and it seems to me that it was quite boring match until Roma scored. After that Feynord was much better and they deserved at least a goal for their efforts. But Roma held their advantage and won in typical Italian/Mourinho style

Yes, congratulation to Rome and Mourinho. After the introduction of the Conference League, Mourinho now has won all important European titles, it might take a while until another coach can achieve a similar achievement. Personally, I still think a separation into Euro and Conference League is not really necessary, I hope they can somehow make this cup more appealing in the next years.

A.S. Roma is just very fortunate to win this finals. Feyenoord was far better than Roma in the game and the match statistics proved that. Goal attempt, ball possession, shot on target and other statistics showed that Feyenoord outclassed A.S. Roma.But I percieve that mother luck was on the side of Jose Mourinho. Roma was highly criticized after an embarrassing 6-1 defeat by Bodo/Glimt at the group stage but they turned the tide around to emerge the champions. This trophy was not expected because the Roma team was not consistent and reliable. Jose Mourinho made history as the only coach in the world to win all three major European competitions. It was also a good day for Tammy Abraham who has scored 27 goals this season. I hope the management of Roma would reinforce the team with new signings and I am predicting that next season would be better for Roma.

I admire the figure of coach Mourinho in the sport of football, He is very good at strategizing for his team. If I not mistaken, Mourinho has also brought the good name of prestigious Football Teams in the Champions League and Europa League competitions before.

Tbh, I do not consider those arguments about Jose for playing negative games, playing boring football, playing defensive football and moreso paying outdated football. I think those arguments are baseless as Jose has once more proven to be the special one.
If actually Jose pattern of play is outdated, he shouldn't have managed to reach the Conference league finals, let alone to lift the trophy.
I will rather call Jose a masterclass, because what Guardiola, Tuchel and others were unable to do against Madrid, he did it against Feynoord. Despite the pressure mounted by Feynoord on Roma, Jose and his boys were able to defend the lone goal they scored.

It is true! Mourinho was never a coach who puts his team to spectacular football, but practical football. And it is an exaggeration to say that he only defended the result. In the first half, before and after scoring the goal, Roma continued to press hard and could have scored another goal. The second half is normal to lose, Feyenoord pressed hard, leaving Roma with less space to attack. Then as a good Italian team, Roma defended better than they attacked, despite having attacked well and also having good chances in the second half.

I so much your choice of words, Jose is not a fantasy coach. He doesn't speculate or experiment much. He play pattern is always determined by the crop of players he has. We can say that he manages what he has. He is so pratikish in his profession.
We have seen him manage high profile clubs and got trophies, he also managed averaged clubs and got result.
It can be true that cares about his post more than the opponent's goal post, and I believe nothing is wrong with that.

Mourinho managed to prove that if he was still the Special One coach, mourinho arrival to Roma had provided many significant changes so that they were able to come out as champions of the conference league champions this season, his skill in seeing the potential of players became one of the important factors for roma to rise this season, many who thought that tammy abraham had ended his career at chelsea but mourinho was able to see the potential that abraham had so he took him to rome and turned tammy abraham into a star, I think mourinho achievements this season are extraordinary and of course a pretty sweet gift for roma fans now this.

Yes, he is a really special person, he has proven it once again by adding the European Conference League Cup to the collection. No matter how much Feynoord wanted to play a controlled match, Roma always caught the Feynoord defense ahead. Young talent Nicolò Zaniolo was a very prominent player in the league this year, and his goal and control before the goal was very good, congratulations AS Roma.

Also special in the way he has made Roma come alive and how the attention of every football lover will turn to Roma in the coming season. As a result pf this their new found confidence, I personally see Roma performing better next season and most likely Jose contending strongly to be champions of Italy. Jose wants to stay at the club, he is happy there...I'm excited to see how far they can go with him as their manager. In two seasons possibly, with some selected additions to the team Roma can be contenders for the UCL as well.

Jose Mourinho is known as a coach who plays negative football in order to achieve positive results.  The many tactics he applies at every club he coaches make the game so boring.  Despite the harsh satire, the man from Portugal remained indifferent and played his version of football.  Mourinho explicitly said his choice to play negative could not be separated from the fact that he wanted to achieve maximum results.  There's nothing wrong with saying Mourinho.  For the team he worked for, his pragmatic game was considered entertaining because of the results he got.  However, for the opponents who face, the tactics applied by the coach nicknamed 'The Special One' is very annoying.

All this talk about negative football is complete nonsense. Even Atlético fans are happy with titles if negative football gives them. And by the way, I would not say that all Mourinho's teams played according to the same scheme - he proceeds from the possibilities that he has. Obviously, Roma cannot play like Real Madrid, which he also coached and who won the title from Guardiola's Barcelona.
