What are some long term projects for holding?

No one knows what promising tokens might give you profits within 6 months or within years, we cannot predict the future because as you know the crypto market is very volatile, but there are promising tokens that you can invest in the long term such as BTC, ETH, LTC, BNB and ADA. You have to diversify your wallet and not invest in a single token.

My long term project and maybe few people knows it :
1. Citizen finance : NFT for games, first person shooter gaming
2. Vulcan forged ( PYR ) : game like skyrim. Not launch but i believe they can launch it ASAP.
3. Sovryn : DeFi on RSK network which use bitcoin mining power ( it will be the most safest DeFi on earth )
4. Ethereum : No body doubt about this..
5. Ccfound : i thought the next big think for blockchain use case is social media on blockchain like this project. ( not advice, just my opinion )

1. short term investment,

- BNB
- ADA

In my opinion for long term hold you should go for the top 50 coins on CMC. In particularly the top 10 if you do not want to do your own research. Always insure you keep Bitcoin and Ethereum as your preferred one and whenever possible try to accumulate more of these two.

I agree with you.  The right coin choice for the long term, we really have to choose the top 10 market cap, to reduce the risk of losing.  Because the top 10 marketcap coins usually definitely go up if the market is stable.  In my opinion the top 10 coin marketcap coins are special.  But sometimes the risk comes unexpectedly.  Before investing think about the risk.

The anohter reason why top 10 is the preferred is their liquidity isnt hesitated anymore, so if you want to cash out or cancel the investment you can do it fast. Also, some top 10 coin like BNB have a feature to stake coins to earn some passive income while holding it.

Crypto invesstment is very volatile, tens of percent increase/decrease can happen daily, every day there is always a new project until now there are more than 10,500 coins and tokens listed on coinmarketcap, if you think long term holding then choose top 10 altcoins like BNB, ETH, XRP, etc.

You are so sure about the long term investment option that you forget to explain to him about the risks in tokens/coins that have a small capitalization (as compared to top 10 coins).
Coins with high risk can provide huge profits of up to 20x or even 50x, but are very vulnerable and even easier to become shitcoins than coins that are in the top 10 today.
TKO is still very new, and hasn't seen growth yet.

It's hard to predict what would hold for the long term. Bitcoin certainly is the first choice if you are intending to double or quadruple your investment just by holding and that too with minimum risk. Other coins like Ethereum, Binance, Cardano, Avalanche, Polygon, ICP, Chainlink, Tron etc too could be a good hold as their use case rises and supply keeps on decreasing. The key is to diversify, so that loss of a few coins won't affect much to your investment.

if you believe in a new altcoin project with full support from a big platform I think a project with an exchange concept will have a good chance for you to hold it long term.
exchange coins like BNB, TKO, and WRX I think have a development that deserves our attention. some assets from the Dex exchange are also good for the long term such as UNI, CAKE, and SFP. apart from the popularity, it has gained I think there will be a lot of adoption from the market when the market changes its trend.

There are very good projects at the moment. There are few of them, but they are. I think that it is possible to keep the tokens of these projects for a longer time than six months. As far as I observe and based on that, entries 1,2 should be reversed.  You are betting long term on unknown, nascent coins with no background (Myid), it will be some shitcoins,... I mean, it's no safer than item 1, there's no point  why put long term for empty words! Lol

I would say ETH, DOT and BNB are the top 3 which one can hold without being too worried about a crash. Binance recently has been criticized for its decisions and even involvement in the recent crash that happened. If I am not wrong they were even questioned by the SEC regarding some of these allegations.

But I feel like Binance will come out without a spot on their reputation and let's be honest, there is no exchange right now in the market that even comes close to binance. Coinbase might be a contender but they don't have a coin of their own and USDC is a stable coin that doesn't make sense to hold for a long time unless there is some interest you are earning. All these things point towards a good future for BNB holders although controversies will arise during these times.

IOTA has a very experienced team of developers and a great idea.
Currently, many updates are made and IOTA has also great partnerships in Germany, where it was launched.
IOTA has a relatively low cap right now and can make still huge gains.

Right now the long-term coins for holding are Ethereum and BNB, and that's because they build a great environment with their coins, both have smart contracts that mean there will always be new tokens and new NFTs. That will make the coins bump in the long term because even if people are not involved in the coin, they are involved in tokens. I don't think those coins will grow more than bitcoin, but for sure they will grow.

And now we only have those 2 features, but the smart contracts could bring some new features in the next years.

Yeah investing in coins coming through an ICO is very risky because the developers have got their pockets full of money and might not work apart from getting the coin listed on an exchange and getting rid of their promises.

I prefer projects that had a small ICO or didn't had any ICO at all because it shows the owners are more focused on building something than collecting money. But, these days devs are too smart as they may go for exchanges directly for launching IEO and listing to be done both at single efforts. So, new projects may not be the right thing for long term investing.

All smart contract platform projects are worth investing in long term. because in the future smart contracts will become a much-needed thing. there will be many companies integrating their services with blockchain. Therefore, a smart contract is the most needed thing. that's why buying eth, bnb, DOT, ADA, TRX, EOS, and other smart contract projects will be very profitable.

Right, although not all the smart contract based altcoins are good though. Most of the projects coming up are either made on another platform like Erc-20, Trc-20,etc or they bring their own blockchain. Not all are worth investing, Solana was a good coin people missed and I guess more such projects are coming but because of the bear run, it's hard to pick them.

When it is too hard for finding a right  coin at right time to invest with, I guess it is always a good and safer practice to go with only bitcoin investments so that we can focus only on a right time to grab opportunities rather than finding the right coins and then missing them out.

Be wise dont invest in only one coin pick the best altcoin and hold it for a long term. BNB, ETH, Wpp, doge those are good altcoins and there's a lot more just choose a coin that you think will rise in the future, i always buy coin that is proven and tested than buying or investing in a new coins that is very risky.

There are more than 9000 crypto projects available in the market but there are very less projects which are fundamental strong I personally invested in them. And that are solana, polkadot and neo.
