I couldn't check the livescore as it was 1 AM in my country, so I slept. I just woke up not quite long expecting Brazil to have won. I wish Argentina to win because I am a big fan of Messi, but I thought Brazil would win Argentina until I woke up to see the goal scored by Angel Di Maria for Argentina at the 22nd minute. This likely resulted to Argentina team able to play defence match with Brazil that let to the winning if the match. I am just happy to see Argentina won because this is the first time Messi was part of the winning team.

Messi was the man of the tournament after becoming the top scorer with 4 goals, most assists with 5, contributing 9 goals out of 12 for his team.
An unforgettable tournament for Messi and Argentina, he certainly did not attend it alone, and everyone helped him, starting with the giant Emiliano Martinez, Angel Di Maria,and other more .
But this title is especially for Messi, because he was very close to glory in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and he made great levels, but lost them thanks to very, very, very small details, either a missed opportunity, a killer goal, a penalty kick, or bad luck. It is a moment that embodies the importance of trying, perseverance and not despair, because whenever you try and fail, and try again, there will certainly come a day and you will reap what you sowed, and this is what happened to Messi at last.
This win got to boost his chances to win the Ballon d'or award since there is no clear candidate to win it.

They've easily won the first half 1-0 and were able to keep a draw 0-0 at the second half to get the victory, I really doubt they wouldn't be able to score another time if Brazil had scored too, because they were simply better than Brazil today, nobody can say the opposite.

Yeah, think we gotta credit the team who won, against a team who hadn't lost a single game during the entire tournament -- I actually bet on Brazil as part of a parlay but I'm just as happy to see Messi lift a trophy finally, man that guys deserves it for carrying his country on his shoulders for years.

I expected the best performance from Brazil, but I’m ready to admit that Argentina really was the best in this match. I am very glad that Messi has finally achieved a great result with the Argentine national team, such a great footballer deserves the highest achievements in all tournaments. It's a big win for the Argentine team of of course and most of all, for the team captain Lionel Messi which as waited on a trophysuch as this with his national team for so long with many attempts. Again, with the team that was being played against #Brazil, it almost felt like an impossible wish for Argentina to lift the trophy but, this is football and despite the fact that, there would always be a fierced team, it never determines who wins the day. The team that means it the most on the pitch that day often comes forth triumphant.

this year copa cup became messi's first trophy and of course this has silenced all criticism of messi who has been considered unable to bring argentina to champions since 2005, before this, Lionel Messi actually brought argentina through four times to the final of a major tournament but unfortunately they always lose in the final,  and with this victory, Lionel Messi has managed to get 2 trophies, namely the Copa America Trophy and as the top scorer,  and in my opinion his success in bringing Argentina to win the Copa will make Lionel Messi more likely to win the  Ballon d'Or 2021.

Regardless of the fact that Messi retires now or after the world cup and how Argentina perform in the upcoming world cup, Messi has done the job for his country and is a true legend.

This might be Leo Messi first and last international trophy win for his country and that was the reason he was crying with happiness. Such feelings and moments are once in a life time and are always remember. If Diego Maradona was alive, he would have been very happy today.

I would have been happier if the legend Diego Maradona was alive to see this. He was always worried about Argentina's slump during recent times. This victory hold enormous significance for every Argentina fan around the world. I am residing in Asia, and a lot of my friends and neighbors were cheering for Argentina. Hopefully Messi is going to win the Ballon again. Has performed exceptionally well throughout Copa America. He has scored 4 goals and 5 assists. If Harry Kane performs outstandingly in today's match and England becomes Euro champions, Kane has a chance to win the Ballon d'Or.

I think Messi will stay at Barcelona until he retires, Btw just like you, I am also very happy to see Argentina win and to see Messi holding the trophy in the senior national team for the first time after 5 defeats in the final. Ronaldo already achieved it at EURO 2016 ago, now it's Messi's turn
