MOUZ went from winning a tier 1 LAN, less than 5 months ago, into going to Division 2, just to try to qualify to a tier 1 event. Yikes.

Give 100%. 110% is impossible. Only idiots recommend that.

Who watched the Dota 2 DreamLeague Season 29: Western Europe Closed Qualifier yesterday, Virtus.pro vs MOUZ?
I placed my bet on map 3 after seeing the draft picks. I told myself that Virtus.pro would likely win map 3 because, in my opinion they had the better draft.
Yes they did win, but since I watched the entire map, in last few minutes MOUZ had huge advantage like around 16K gold lead. At that point, the odds for Virtus.pro were already x18.
It felt like a missed opportunity. If I had money at that time, even just $10 I would have placed bet on Virtus.pro. Unfortunately, I only had a free bet and it wasn’t even settled yet. lol

I skipped the game but that's a bet refund, too bad. Virtus Pro won the 3rd map and they're now qualified to the main tournament. What's funny is the North America region, look at how it went for the qualifiers. There were only 4 teams for the qualification and I guess this is the easiest path for the other teams if they want to get qualified because it's only GamerLegion that will be their wall. Although that AmaruFlame has also good players including K1 and pandaboo. Nice try for them though.

Isn't it long overdue, to end North america region qualifiers? I think it's time to go back to having "Americas" qualifier. North America is omega dead. It doesn't make sense to keep insisting. And i could even make and argument to combine China with SEA. China is very far from what it iused to be.

Well, that's still classified as two regions. But I would agree to just combine both regions and merge it into Americas. It's still the organizers decision per se on these regional qualifiers.

And i could even make and argument to combine China with SEA. China is very far from what it iused to be.
We've seen that in past tournaments that the organizers have merged it but even long time ago, China and SEA were just one but I think it's a good thing they have separated it.

Yes, the last two maps were very close. The teams are smarter now, and Vitality has to reinvent itself; apparently, its strategies are already well-known to its opponents. Will they lose their 18-game winning streak at IEM Rio?

G2 easily secured a victory over 3DMAX. After letting a winnable match against Vitality slip through their fingers, they quickly shifted their focus to the next match and gave their opponent little room to play. The entire team put on a strong performance.
RED Canids are facing off against Spirit. Both teams have won their chosen maps, and the score is tied at 1-1. The decider map is currently underway, and Spirit is leading 3-0.

All streaks must eventually come to an end so it is more likely to happen at this event.
Just watching them yesterday playing against G2 you can see the cracks starting to form in their armor.
They lost the first map and it took them going into overtime in the second to not get blanked by the samurais.

Falcons are looking good and I think the news of their new big name coming to the team has lifted their spirits abit going into this tournament.

That lower bracket run from Spirit looked shaky, but they quickly turned it up once it was time to clutch up.

The more interesting result today is how Team Falcons somehow snapped Vitality's winning streak. I guess all it takes is another send-off for them to pop off again or maybe Vitality didn't care as much since it was only a seeding match for the semis.  Tongue

I don't think this will really shake them because it didn't mean anything, so to speak, since they're still in camp and will be fighting against NaVi, who are already quite familiar to them. I think this defeat only gives them more motivation.

The Falcons managed to be the team that stopped Vitality. We can truly say they put on a good performance against Vitality. As a team, they performed better, and MOnesy’s outstanding performance was a major factor in their success. I think the Falcons are the favorites in this tournament. As of now, their potential to win the tournament looks high.

It appears there's some roster changes in the Dota scene. If rumours are true, DM will be joining Yandex, and Noticed will be joining Parivision. Poor SSS lol, i think his performances were pretty decent, and it wasn't because of him they have been placing poorly. There's also this:

Curious to see this one.

Honestly I was quite surprised when I seen their first defeat in a couple of months from this thread.
Let alone at the hands of a restructuring Falcons team with the signing of Karrigan earlier in the week.
But as Pumared had already mentioned, this match didn't matter as much to them since they are in the play-offs and face Navi later on today.
The other matchup starts first with Team Spirit vs MOUZ.

The winners of these two match with be going against Team Falcons and FURIA tomorrow in the quarter-finals for the Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2026.

I also agree with you on Parivision's roster change. They might've expected too much from SSS when he didn't have any experience playing in tier 1 events before moving to Parivision.

Hosting a turbo tournament would go crazy, and i'm down to watch it since I do enjoy playing the game mode as well.  Cheesy

True, it's not bad to experience a loss once in a while, and there's a lot on the line for them to win this tournament. They're currently leading at the grand slam race with three event wins, and they only need one more to cash in that one million prize money.

Yes, it was a very good game for the Falcons. But I don't think this shakes Vitality that much. They proved they are very consistent, so I don't believe this mistake will affect them much. I even think it might make them come back stronger in the next game.

Really happy about Falcons performances yesterday and also happy that they prove 2nd time in 6 months that they are able to beat Vitality if they have a great preparation for it and a very solid game plan and M0nesy in a great shape that most likely will carry Falcons up until grand final.

Now , I'm watching Spirit vs Mouz and so far Spirit are looking in deadly shape with both Tn1r and D0nk having majestic performances so far in Map 1 Dust2.  Shocked

Talking about the upcoming VCT Americas matches, my favorites are pretty clear to me.

I like Cloud9. The team has the potential to step it up during the series, and honestly, ENVY just doesn't inspire much confidence right now.

FURIA is a no-brainer for me. Kickoff champions, and they already swept NRG 2-0 in week one.

I also have MIBR as an easy favorite. They opened up by stomping G2 2-0 and made it to the Kickoff finals. On the other side, LOUD is dealing with a massive roster issue, having to play with their assistant coach "bati" subbing in for erde.

And one play I genuinely find interesting is KRÜ. They pulled off a comeback win against Sentinels right off the bat, while NRG is coming off a loss. With the high odds, I see a lot of value there. It wouldn't be the first time this kind of underdog bet pays out nicely.

Anyway, those are my picks. Cloud9, FURIA, and MIBR as the favorites, and KRÜ as the highest value odd. Let's see how it plays out.

In fact, MIBR's victory is almost guaranteed. Loud only managed to win because the ENVY team is very weak, but they still lost one map and won 14-12 on another. I believe the -1.5 handicap for MIBR is a safe choice, so you don't have to bet on odds of 1.11. Grin

And speaking of the NRG game, the KRU team, now complete, is really strong and has good odds. They didn't face a tier S team last week, but they played a safe game and won in a controlled match. I hope they take at least one map from NRG.

Shocked
Same, it's rare to see the best teams bleed, but i'm all for it. I don't know if they can do it again, but that series was a banger, and I hope they can set a rematch in the finals.

As for that quarterfinal match between Mouz and Spirit, it wasn't even close as Mouz forgot to show up on the server while Spirit is just rolling everyone.
