I'm glad I stayed away from any of the favorites yesterday because the other underdogs were also on fire as FURIA and FaZe lost their qualification match.



With all those upsets, the remaining qualifier matches should be straightforward for the legit top teams (Vitality, Mouz, MongolZ, Aurora) unless another underdog puts up a lifegame.

With all those upsets, the remaining qualifier matches should be straightforward for the legit top teams (Vitality, Mouz, MongolZ, Aurora) unless another underdog puts up a lifegame.

That Faze upset was nothing I have seen before.
They were up 9-4 on the last map and then after the half won pistol with a sick near ace by Karrigan after the plant. But then everything went south suddenly and Faze couldn't win a round and got beaten 8 rounds in a row to lose the game.
The worst collapse in this tournament by a tier 1 team with the talent that Faze has on their side as oppose to the team they were playing of unknowns in VirtusPro.
So V.P got the $6500 bounty from that win off of Faze Clan.

Just watching the MOUZ match against another lower tiered team.

It sounds favorable for Team Liquid, but I doubt FaZe would be willing to push it through when he's one of the few players who usually shine on their T side.

True. We had days with underdogs winning or taking 1 map and suddenly yesterday all the favorites won and it was such a short day compared to previous ones. Also this bounty tournament is kinda a stay away right ? you never know for sure when they trow ...example yesterday where b8 could have won both maps against Mouz and yet they didn't win either. 

I actually saw highlight for S1mple BC team and didn't impress me but he looked comfortable playing Cs2 vs what he showed with Faze last month....so that is a good sign for him.

Completely agree with you on that ralle14! These pro CS2 players do play better on LAN and you can definitely see the difference in their games. Even a team like Vitality looked to struggle when they shouldn't have against CCT teams.

Regarding about BLG winning, they've changed Beichuan, I'm really annoyed how this guy play during MSI like he's very clueless of the objectives, now Shadow is the new jungler and maybe he's the reason why BLG winning right now. They defeated TES yesterday and they really played well and have a good 4-0 standing.

Yep, another new jungler for BLG since Beichuan became one of the weakest link during the international stage. It's too early to have high hopes, but it's nice to see them rolling teams while having a tough early schedule (AL, TES, WBG).

Yes, I'm still having hopes for BLG to get in worlds, they have a lot of things to show and a good revenge to T1 is a good narrative for this upcoming worlds 2025.

What ? Pain is out ? oh well. Do we know any details yet ? they want a break or something ? because that would make sense since they were involved in almost every major tournament in first half of 2025 so getting a vacation won't surprise me. I was seeing that MIBR is in a downward spiral, and if they don't get their act together, they could lose their spot in the major. Are you seeing anything about that?

MIBR is currently ranked 28 in valve rankings, if that stands they will get to stage 1 of major

That certainly is some good news. Playing with your future team within the big tournament, you'll really have to play well on that but even so, securing contracts is what he gets there.


With some dota 2 rumors, I've read in some random post in other forums that Gaimin Gladiators is unlikely to have their coach 'cy' together for The International 2025. I can't tell if that's a real thing but maybe in the last days before TI, we'd see if that rumor is true.

The team is still very much living up to its successful past. But they're currently struggling to find a team, like Pain and Furia did, for example. I think this has a lot to do with betting on players who are just starting out. Just look, Pain did it and made the playoffs, and Furia did the same, and they're doing the same in Cologne.

Would be wild to see Zont1x leaving Spirit right ? I mean he was the best of Spirit Academy long time before Donk began to shine and even when Donk started to become a goat , Zonticx was still considered the best by far of young spirit academy. However , as soon as Zont1x made the jump from junior to senior , his game sense slowly fade out and it's not because of his skills , it's because Donk became such a start that simply outshine the rest of Spirit team but I can't blame Zont1x and I'm sure he will shine in his next team if that is true.

True. Team Spirit needed another solid player, rather than a rifler that rarely steps up, because most top teams have insane individual firepower and can always cover each other when one of them underperforms.

Also, yesterday's Blast Bounty matches ended with both MongolZ and Mouz advancing after a 2-0 win. Astralis barely made it interesting against Mouz, while Aurora had a disaster of a series, losing Mirage after racking up an 11-0 lead.
