Schalke victory over Dresden made the competition for promotion to bundesliga even tighter now, the top 4 teams only have a difference of 1 point, and forcing them to continue to get wins so as not to be displaced by other teams who are also eyeing promotion in next season, currently Schalke are in in position 4 and in the remaining matches they have to be consistent to win while hoping that one of the teams above them will slip in the rest of the games this season, I personally really hope to see schalke will return to play in the bundesliga next season .

Yea, they are 9 points now behind the 3rd. Even if the win all of the remaining games it would be a difficult task to overtake so many other teams...

Later today we'll see Rostock vs St.Pauli (quotes 2.95/3.5/2.3) - not an easy task for St.Pauli. Rostock is "almost" safe from the relgation in the middle of the ranking.

Tomorrow Bremen vs Sandhausen (1.4/4.8/7.5) - anything else than a win for Bremen would be surprising. Bremen will likely take the lead in the ranking again
Tomorro also the "top game" of the teams with only a small chance to reach the top3: Heidenheim vs Nürnberg (2.3/3.3./3.1). Heidenheim's last chance to get closer and maintain a small chance. If Nürnberg wins, they's only be 1 point below Schalke (and 2 points behind rank3)

even though schalke got the win but the game they showed was very unsatisfactory, I think if they keep playing like that it will be very difficult for them to compete in the top flight and get promoted to the bundesliga next season. The current top team has a very narrow points distance from the overall which requires them to consistently win the rest of the season.

I believe that it will be Werder Bremen who will be the 2nd champion. This season's Bundesliga is Werder Bremen, they have the advantage in terms of the match, even though St. Pauli has the same but I'm not sure about them.

on friday evening, dynamo dresden managed to upset schalke 04 in front of a sold-out stadium, but the effective club from gelsenkirchen took three points (2-1 away win) thanks to S. Terodde.

Schalke are lucky enough I think because throughout the match they continued to be beaten but they were able to score 2 goals first.

It was a tough game for Dresden, they need to get out of the relegation zone but Schalke are one of the best teams in the league this year and they should not have lost a game. Actually, Schalke didn't play well but still managed to win the match.

For me it makes no difference where Hamburg will play, because somehow I don't like them nor I have anything negative to them, but the fact that they will play in the 2 Bundesliga in the next season is not a big surprise. I think they just missed the chance, so they just have what they deserve. Not big deal.

Weirder Bremen could be the team that has the fairly comfortable lead from others but they unexpectedly could not win their last match against SV Sandhausen and came out with a draw. They do have 1 point lead from the later teams but that could be 3 points. St Pauli is not going to be bothered by Nurnberg or Heidenheim too much because they are still 5 points away.

Werder Bremen is obviously the sole leader of the League right now but they are not going to be the league leaders for long if they play as they did in the last match. Because the points difference is almost non-existent.

They will need to win consistently to stay in first place in the league. I think there will be able to hold on to their first place. Because even though everyone expected them to win the match and they lost I think they will be able to do better in future games.

Just as I thought SV Werder Bremen will eventually overtake the competition, it doesn't really mean that even though you are not winning at the start of the season you will not end in the 1st position, this is why the 2nd division has such thrills you may never know who's really going to the 1st division until this season ends, I certainly just leave and rest in posting in this thread and when I came back Werder had already taken the highest in this division, maybe Werder can come back and promoted in the 1st division next season but the last season promoted Furth is not looking good in the last spot of the Bundesliga and in danger in returning to the 2nd division next season.

But the match has ended up in a draw, but still, it is still in favor of Werder, because a score is still a score for the 2nd division, but even though the game ended in a draw if we look at the game stats you can see that Werder Bremen has the advantage against SV Sandhausen from Shots, Shots on target, ball possession, passes, and with pass accuracy, all percentage was pretty much high for the game to end up in a draw, but that is just how the game ends.

It will be very difficult to catch up with this point difference. Even if they wind against Aue today, they'll still be 6 points behind with only 6 games remaining.

This weekend we'll see some interesting pairings (bold my preferred outcome):

Schalke vs Heidenheim 1.8/3.8/4.2 - With Schalke you never really know what you get. A win looks very doable from their perspective. Heidenheim on the other side needs a win to be able to catch up with the top ranks. A loss or draw would probably mean that they won't make it to the top. Heidenheim had 4 difficult games in the last weeks of which 2 they won and 2 they lost, they always lost the away games, so that I expect again.

St.Pauli vs Bremen 2.7/3.6/2.4 - The top game this week. Pretty open odds, looking at them I would have considered Bremen a bit stronger. St.Pauli is the strongest home team this season, but Bremen the strongest overall. It's gonna be a close game. This is one of the "final games" for the first rank (there will be plenty more in the next weeks though)

Nuremberg vs Darmstadt 3.0/3.4/2.3 - Both teams lost one of their last two games and both were able to achieve some impressive victories but also devastating losses in the last weeks, the odds are leaning towards Darmstadt, but I expect them to draw.

If I were Werder Bremen I wouldn't mind a draw as long as the team is at the top of the table. But it was really surprising that st Pauli did lose the match against Hansa. I thought they should have won the match.
As also in the match, Werder Bremen vs SV Sandhausen, Werder Bremen Should have won. But a draw is still ok as long as they are at the top of the table in my opinion.

Actually Hamburger performance was not very good lately that they cannot win from their 6 recent matches and against Ezgebirge they will attempt to get full points moreover Ezgebirge had poor performance during this season even in their latest 13 matches in bundesliga 2 Ezgebirge only can able to win once and their current position was at 17th on standings league so against weak team such as Ezgebirge i think Hamburger can win and back to winning track
