Sporting got Pablo Sarabia from PSG on loan at deadline day. They also give Nuno Mendes on loan to PSG for 4m € fee and 40m € future transfer fee. That would surely boost Sporting's chances, Sarabia is a top class midfielder. I think they used Nuno Mendes transfer as leverage and got Sarabia on loan. This season they can use him in Portuguese League and Champions League. He can play as right winger or attacking midfielder. The only problem for Sporting to me is their striker role, they have only Paulinho there. If he gets injured or booked his alternative is 19 year old Tiago Tomás. Season is too long, in the long run they have to use an unorthodox forward in striker role or even play without striker based on opposition. I think they will get another striker in Winter transfer window. They can't play with only 2 strikers whole season long.

Sarabia deal is good because he played in the high level and champions league and can play even as a striker if its needed i ve seen that both porto and benfica has a stronger squad compared to sporting with some experienced and high level players so it will be a though season.

They Are Very Lucky To Got Pablo Sarabia (Despite Loan), I'm Sure He Will Be Very Helpful For Sporting.

And I agree with you that the problem in the current team is the limited number of strikers, but on the other hand I think that Ruben Amorim has another strategy about this, the most likely being to play Bruno Tabata in the striker position who in fact he is an attacking midfieldder if it happens Unexpected Things, Or it could even play Jovane Cabral, who incidentally is a winger

You are right, it is too early to conclude that a particular club will win the league this season, there are only just three games played and there are still many games that will be played. But like I have previously commented before, this Portugal Primeira Liga is not that so competitive enough, as Sporting CP just lose a single game at the start of the season, the chances that Benfica or FC Porto to win the league this season has gotten higher as the winner do win many consecutive matches before losing at all, also as we know the winning if the league will not go beyond these three clubs.

@Joca97 Sporting haven’t shown great form in the earlier draw, and yesterday despite showing intent they had to wait till the end to win, and this is something they should quickly address. Also I strongly feel that Benfica will win this game based on their current form, and it’ll be a big upset if they lose against Vitória Sport Clube.

Benfica have been a successful club in the Primeira Liga. They have won the Primeira Liga most, won the title 37 times. Although, they ended last season in the 3rd place on the standings with 76 points, while Sporting won the title. But, their performance ever since the season started, have been impressive. Benfica is presently unbeaten in the league, and are leading on the table. They have an away match today against Vitória. The match will definitely be an easy winning for Benfica as Vitória is currently not in their best form, they won 1 out of the 6 matches they have played so far.

Today we will have a match between Vitoria Guimaraes - Benfica where Benfica is certainly the favorite team in this match, I personally have no doubts about that. The striking thing about the Primeira Liga is that their transfers always makes news headlines. When the next transfer window opens, I'm hoping to see big transfers from FC Porto , Benfica and Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Considering the results so far in the Liga Portugal, we have three big candidates for the title already as it seems. Benfica are the one that have been doing a great job in their games so far. They have won all of their 6 games and they are getting ready to end Guimaraes this evening. Even though they have one missing game, they are the leading team in the standings. Porto and Sporting both got two draws and won the rest of their 7 games. Porto are at the 2nd place and Sporting are the 3rd. It looks like this season will be really great to watch as we can see a superb competition for the league title. This time, Sporting may not have a very comfortable season like they had last.

Sporting and Porto didn't make mistake in Friday games but Sporting only scored from a penalty in last minute against ten men Maritimo. Sporting got off cheap, they could've lost points at home against a team that couldn't even have a shot on goal. It was expected an easier game, in the end it's important to get three points though. Porto won a harder game at away with last minute goal again. Sergio Oliveira came from bench and twenty minutes later he saved Porto. Now all eyes on Benfica today against Vitoria Guimaraes, it won't be an easy game for sure.

this season Benfica significantly approved attack with Roman Yaremchuk joining the team. and Benfica don't lose points with weaker teams but Porto and Sporting Lisbon already have lost some.

The competition for the top 3 teams in the Portuguese league is very hot this season considering that Benfica and Porto have played very well in the 7 matches they have played, where at this time Benfica is the temporary leader of the Portuguese league group, maybe it is too early to conclude that marriage can easily become champions even though at the moment they are playing quite well, we don't forget last season's champions sporting Lisbon who are still candidates to defend the title they won last season, while porto are also still very stable where they managed to beat their opponents on the weekend. then
