Of course, it will be a money grab for Ugas here, for sure he will get at least more than 10% of the previous purse he got. I know that majority of us wanted Manny to retire and move on with his political career. He has a tight schedule if he rans for the Presidency, but will he take the bait to fight Ugas again?

In his statement, he considers retiring but it's not final yet, so as long as there's no formal announcement from him about retiring, then we can assume that we will still see him fight again.

The fact that he gave some hint before, I think a few years ago. I cannot remember if it came from him or her wife that he just has to retire and he's considering it.

But after that then a fight of him came. It is true that these hints will remain as it is until he finally says and gives an official statement for his retirement.

As Pacquiao said, he had done enough already for boxing, and boxing had done a lot for him. So yeah, he should retire while he can still enjoy the fruits of his sacrifices. Don't wait to suffer major body damage. He's not getting young. Time to give the ring to younger generation. His record is already astonishing and can be lined up to boxing greats like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson.

He said that many times and as for retirement, just as I've said, he already said almost the same words.

If he's going to ask the people and his fans, we want him to retire and just take a peaceful life with his family. But he's got a lot of other things to do aside from boxing.

I agree with you, many said that Manny is really at a disadvantage in the fight if you just look at their stances.  In their normal jabs, Ugas is only noticeable, in stature and length of arms.  Pacman's blows don't seem to reach him very well.  So if there is a rematch, it looks like the Cuban boxer will beat him again.  Maybe his achievements in his boxing career are right and enough and it's time for him to retire and focus on serving the people no matter what position in the government.

As I have said previously, Pacquiao is done in the sports of boxing, there's no need to redeem his name in a rematch. He is already noted as one of the best in the century by many sports analyst. He already accepted defeat and has move on with his other goals, like running for the highest office in the Philippines. I doubt that Manny's camp will buy this rematch as they have already saw the difference between the fighters and obviously Manny cannot beat ugas even in second and 3rd fight why?
because he is too old now to win a bout against younger boxer . maybe if he will face Dela Hoya or other boxers in His Age bracket .

He deserves at least one more match against a good opponent, and that doesn't essentially needs to be a rematch against Yordenis Ugas. It will be tragic, if the farewell match for Pacquaio turns out to be an upset defeat against a little known opponent. Pacquaio is a legend in the field of boxing and the other boxers like Crawford, Taylor, Spence and Garcia needs to show respect towards him. The least they can do is to give him an opportunity to retire after a farewell fight against the best in welterweight category.

I can't be sure, but I read that Spence is avoiding or at least not interested on fighting Ugas. Remember though that Shawn Porter has beaten Ugas on a tough fight in 2019. So I agree that Ugas in that in the league of the top welterweights right now.

But since he has the belt, I think other champions are going to chase him, and also they want to test him after beating the legendary Manny Pacquiao.

You are right an exhibition match is preferable he can fight Mcgregor or Paul or even Mayweather in an exhibition and he can still make money, Pacquiao will not just give out his training, and exhibitions is something that can still make him practice what he loves, but judging on how Pacquiao fought against he can still beat all these exhibition fighters like Paul or Mayweather.

He did say that and he also said that He felt the tightness of the muscle on his legs from round 2 to round 12. That alone shows that his muscles isn't responding well. As much as I adore him and would still love to see him fight, it would be for the best for him to retire and focus on other things.

The problem is that it was impossible to know this was going to be the fight in which Manny will finally show that he was not the same as before, it is obvious people have been expecting a decline for some time as he is 42 already but he still showed no signs of it for a very long time so it makes sense the odds were this skewed in his favor as no one wanted to bet against Manny, so congratulations to those that placed a bet on Ugas whether it was dumb luck or they actually saw this coming they probably made good money out of this.

We really didn't think that Ugas will upset Pacquiao though, but for those who love to bet on the underdogs for sure it was a big win for them, as I remember it was 3.x for Ugas ML and it could be higher by decision.

In any case, a fighter is best at his last fight and we can clearly see that Pacquiao has lost it already. No speed, no movement because of the cramping, so Manny should definitely retire in peace.
