You can not use the price to compare between the two, you will use their marketcap, I am not saying Bitcoin is not stronger, Bitcoin is the strongest cryptocurrency. If you think you can use the price, you will not get the actual value you are looking for because ethereum and Bitcoin do not have the same prices if even they have the same marketcap, but the buying power is indicated in the marketcap not their price.

Both were not comparable. When you are comparing both and then it's very similar like you are comparing apple with orange. that will never happen. Bitcoin has its own purpose while ethereum was also having its own purpose as well.
The price doesn't matter but the role of this crypto can become the main thing to be used as a way to determine the real purpose of the coin.

Bitcoin still has the huge advantage that it was the first cryptocurrency ever and therefore paved the way for other all crypto projects to follow, so if there would be no bitcoin there would probably be no cryptocurrencies at all today. For most people that are not into crypto bitcoin = cryptos because they don't know any other crypto project than bitcoin. If you just look at the functionality and the possibilities than i would say that objectively ethereum is the far superior blockchain compared to bitcoin. You have faster transaction speed and what is far more important, you have the smart contract functionality, without that a lot of the current hypes in the crypto space like Defi would not even be possible.
So i believe that the value of Ethereum will come closer and closer to the value of Bitcoin.

While the tittle of the thread is correct this goes way beyond just the price of the two, bitcoin is not only the first cryptocurrency it is also the best, also a lot of people were disappointed with how the ethereum developers dealt with the The DAO hack.

They dealt with it by creating a hard fork and returning the funds to their owners and while this may seem like something good for those that do not understand the issue this violated the principle of the immutability of the blockchain, which gave birth to ETC, and to this day many of those that were around to see this think of ETC as the real ethereum despite the price difference between the two.

Coins are not ranked according to their price. Ranking is according to market cap. For example, according to Coingecko number 3 coin is ADA which costs only $2+ per coin. But there are many coins such as BNB, BCH, LTC, LINK, DOT which cost much more than ADA.

I will start by saying, I agree with your title, and it is not only about Ethereum but all altcoins, Bitcoin have no rival and that is just the fact. The level of commitment investors and the entire crypto community have shown towards  Bitcoin is noteworthy, and this keeps proving that Bitcoin is offering something reliable and trustworthy. Ethereum is the best altcoin and that is one of the things which has kept it in such position till date which is, behind Bitcoin. Ethereum also is very innovative thus the reason a lot of investors are still Investing heavily and project developers are still launching their projects on, in all not minding the high gas fee. Also, apart from the London hard fork which has made the Ethereum blockchain more reliable as it is working perfectly, another upgrade which will keep the Ethereum blockchain in spotlight is the ETH 2.0.
Therefore looking at all these about Ethereum, it is evidently clear the blockchain will keep growing, keep retaining its position but nevertheless, will find it hard being a rival to Bitcoin.

Yep, they have huge difference when it comes to prize, but in volume,if I am not wrong, Ethereum has larger volume compared to bitcoin, as it has more use-cases than other crypto, having so, it became widely used by developers for their projects, specially these days for NFTs, a lot of these NFT games are based on the blockchain of Ethereum, some do have their own tho.

There are some speculations tho that ETH might be able to be valued the same as bitcoin's today. We don't know, but I believe in the future of both ETH and BTC.

I don't get you, market cap or price or even popularity Bitcoin is head, neck and shoulder above any other alt-coins, so I think you arguing a lost course, furthermore I don't think I would compare the two, because I plan on owning the two in the future, so a low grade/budget investor I consider myself as one, ethereum may not been too bad for me, but even if it has a low price than Bitcoin, $3000 and more is still high for me.

Bitcoin is definitely leading in the market when it comes to its price but when we talk about real life use cases, ethereum beats bitcoin. But i think they should not be compared because these two will make up a perfect pair for investments.

ethereum does not have any technical advantage over Bitcoin it will never exceed the popularity of Bitcoin. If you are hoping for that and invested in Ethereum because of that then you need to get out now.

Populatiry-wise they are pretty close now. ETH hosts thousands of dapps and that alone makes eth very attractive to the investors. But in terms of merchant adoption, bitcoin is in a better position even though its tx fees are far greater.

ETH and BTC have different target audiences so I can agree with the title. Both are great projects.

Ethereum isn't far behind if you'll look at their rankings. Btc sure is always top 1 and Ethereum is at the 2nd spot. There's no need for anyone to compare and say that there is a rival between the two. They're utterly different as Ethereum more focuses on smart contracts and it's now becoming going to have lesser supply while bitcoin has already a fixed supply. We don't have to wish that Ethereum is going to be at the top 1, that spot is for bitcoin and will always be.
