I missed the discussion in which Ratimov was caught in a lie, after which he removed his thread, but nothing. Therefore, for myself, I decided that I want to put an end to all these senseless disputes, and this will happen when Ratimov agrees to the counter terms of the dispute (a bet that he offered and not me).

Here are some topics to search for:

Here he selected a list of 30 threads and offered them for verification, considering me a brainless guy (since, apparently, before his proposal, he checked them for plagiarism). Therefore, I made him a counter offer.

A bold statement. I'll give you $5 000 if you can find the source of these threads that I recently created, since you boldly claim that all my threads are translations of other people. You can archive this post, and any trusted member of this community will confirm it.

Even if you really are the author of a couple of threads, then against the background of hundreds of translations you have published, it seems like a drop in the ocean.

But so be it, I will accept your offer on the following conditions:

1. You will use escrow and deposit $ 5,000 to DarkStar_ , Royse777, DireWolfM14 or Nutildah, (I think you will not be charged a commission).
2. I will not rely only on those that you published, I will look for plagiarism in all the threads you created.
3. For everything, as you suggested, a week will be enough for me.
4. If anyone finds plagiarism and publishes evidence before me, that person will receive the award.
5. If I find plagiarism, I will win the bet, but I will send you proofs in PM so that you can correct your mistake.

You have the right to refuse the bet, I and everyone present here will understand this, (I hope you haven't lost your courage). He has already publicly refused twice (veiledly changing the topic of conversation) if not, write simply "Agree" or "NO". I want to note that most likely he will begin to find fault with words and write in this thread that the subject of the dispute is not at all what he had in mind, so stock up on popcorn.

I don't trust Ratimov because:

1. There is no more egregious case of text-spinning with the help of Google translator than the case of Ratimov.

—if Ratimov did not deny in principle, that publishing something in the form in which he publishes it is a bad example.
—if Ratimov had not chosen to reply with an ad hominem attack against an accusation brought with evidence.

2. Constantly demonstrates extremely arrogant and devil-may-care attitude towards the community, he deleted posts but there is an archive.

Thanks to RapTarX, suchmoon, icopress, The Pharmacist, Poker Player for constructive answers ON THEME. The rest of the speculation and blah blah are not interesting to me.

3. Ratimov is an inveterate liar who publishes deliberately false facts.

Ratimov: More than 8 months have passed between these cases, where is the connection? Your saying would be true if I created a topic about airfinex a few days after he accused me.
The Pharmacist: The timing says it all, IMO, and I'm talking about the timing between airfinex's post here and the creation of this thread.

To me this looks like a blatant attempt to attack some one who called you out.  I know you've developed a few supporters here, but I suspect that they too will cease their support if you keep making these obvious retaliatory attacks.  Deflection and "What-About-ism" doesn't absolve you of your sins.

To me it seems like a weakness to try to defame the person who made some valid arguments. I still think the plagiarism rules should be adjusted, this shouldn't be allowed (see my reasons why). I visit this section to read some interesting things happening on the forum and most of the cheaters getting exposed, to keep me up to date. But to be honest, this unnecessary drama sometimes make me sick. I can't miss the reputation board and I don’t enjoy such type of post. Sounds like an extortion racket more than anything else. There is no clear definition given as to what the OP will consider "plagiarism", and knowing that OP's report led to someone getting incorrectly banned, this doesn't sound like a valid wager. I would hope none of the reputable escrows would agree to it either.

That's a LOL and a half.  I'm not really rooting for either side of this drama; I just want it put to bed, and hopefully this'll be the last thread about it.

Well, just don't read threads like this and you won't get sick--free medical advice from your friendly neighborhood pharmacist, free of charge.  Seriously though, there's always going to be conflict on bitcointalk as long as there are strong personalities that occasionally come into conflict.  I'm not saying we need accusations of wrongdoing all the time, but having heated disagreements can spark some good debate about things (like TECSHARE when he would rant against the trust system).

I'll be following the progress and outcome of this, that's for sure.

I would say that is not accurate, correct me if I am wrong.

Mpamaegbu was banned for plagiarism only once, and hilarious said he wouldn't have banned him just for that but another global moderator understood that was the right way to act in that case.

He was unbanned because he appealed and because he was an established member of the forum, but if he was a junior member I don't think he would have had his account reinstated, especially so quicky, let alone with signature.

It should also be said that airfinex said he was keeping a bullet in the chamber in case Mpamaegbu's account was reinstated, which in the end he did not take out, and it remains to be seen whether he did not do so because he did not think it was strong enough or because he was satisfied with Mpamaegbu having asked for forgiveness, which seems to be what he was pointing out in a comment.

As I've suggested before: focus your energy on getting the plagiarism rules changed. I don't think it's too much to ask to make clear what part of a post came from where, instead of dumping a bunch of links under a very long post (where it takes many PgDn clicks to even see it's copied).
I do believe that would actually make this forum better, unlike creating many topics about Ratimov.

As if that's going to happen, these people like any other in this forum, have egos and they're different people that have differing opinions and came from different backgrounds so what you're asking is close to impossible because they might agree on some of it but they will eventually disagree on a topic.

How do you know?  You're not a newbie; you've been a member for over a year and a half.  And as far as getting along goes, there's always been conflict between certain members--for as long as I've been a member and probably well before that.  That's just how it goes on a forum where people are allowed to express their feelings freely.

Even though nobody might care, he's still free to write what he wants.  Again, that's the beauty of this forum.  There's very little censorship; arguments are going to happen; and people are free to voice their displeasure over said arguments, even if the expression of that displeasure accomplishes nothing.
