MANILA, Philippines — An all-Filipino title clash has been set after the World Boxing Council ordered a mandatory fight between WBC bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire and interim champ Reymart Gaballo.

The WBC, one of four major sanctioning bodies in pro boxing, made the announcement on Tuesday.

I am a fan of any boxing fight and I love to watch this match fighting in one belt but in the same country and the same language. Plus points for you for this input. This fight is honored by Reymart Gaballo to fight a legend fighter like Nonito Donaire, even though it is ordered by the WBC for a good reason maybe they want to have a fight of these two good fighters with the same country. There is nothing Gaballo to do is to protect his belt and fight Nonito, he is the dependent champion and needs to protect his belt, besides he is still on the win streak win with a split decision win against Emmanuel Rodriguez of Puerto Rico last December 19 in the US and now you think if possible to break the winning streak? One thing that I don't like about this match, it is not good fighting in WBC in the same country, which is not good for me.

So it turns out that Donaire doesnt have any choice but to deal off with this mandatory fight rather than going with Casimero.In regards to this fight which do whos off that this is an another filipino fighter

and as i have checked out the stats then i could really say that this man could really have the chance on beating up Donaire.I havent seen on how this man fights but this boxer is still undefeated

and seeing his KO percentage then i say that this man does really pack a punch.Donaire shouldn't really be that confident on this fight believing that he could make some easy win.

If the deal has not been completed then there is a chance the fight will not happen, most champions will not walk away from a title as title fights add to the money they can charge for the fight, however if a fighter was thinking on moving up a division and they were thinking on vacating the title anyway and they can get a more profitable fight on the division above they could leave their title behind under those circumstances, lets just hope this is not the case and the fight actually happens.

Not gonna buy that this time since we know how quick-witted Donaire was inside the ring, Gaballo may be a heavy puncher or some sort but Nonito was as well. Well, it's time for Gaballo to show and shine and get that Bantamweight belt from the oldest bantamweight title holder. Gaballo got a good resume out there but I will just say that he may have a difficulty of beating "The Filipino Flash" in this fight, just my two cents.

It's mandatory people, that means Donaire has to accept this fight and I think it's an easier fight compared to fighting Inoue or Casimero. This should be a tune-up fight for him before he will fight the two champions in the same division. Congrats to Gaballo for having an opportunity to fight the Flash, his undefeated record is at stake but he is with a big opportunity to make his name popular once he beat Donaire.

Yup, that's the power of this governing body, they can issue mandatory title fight, although we really don't like him facing Reymart Gaballo who is no name as far as the weight class goes.

But still all Filipino clash, I have Nonito winning by knockout by left hook or by landslide unanimous decision. Gaballo got to fight Nonimo because of his win against Emmanuel Rodriguez. For the record it should be Nonito vs Rodriguez last year December, but Nonito tested positive for Covid-19 and then Gaballo step up against Rodriguez and won.

This fight will push through because its mandatory and it will be critical to Donaire if he losses on this match. Looking at the records of both boxer, I’m impress with Gaballo slowly making his name in boxing, this will be his best fight so far and hopefully, he can protect his clean record. He would remain no name if he doesn't fight a boxer like Nonito Donaire. Gaballo is an undefeated fighter, now, he has a golden opportunity to prove that he can make a name, and beating one of the best boxers in the Philippines, I think that's a big success at his age. 25 years old is still young but matured enough to proved to the world that he can be a champion, so I'll definitely watch this fight but not gonna side on who will win as they are both Filipino.

seems that filipinos are hitting the ring these days. if this will be obligatory, then, we will see this fight to happen. for the odds, i'm guessing, donaire will be slight favourite here even if gaballo is much younger fighter. now, if donaire wins again, maybe fight with inoue/casimero will re-surface again.

You do have some points guys on where i do really agree because Donaire wont really be holding that belt if he wasnt realyl that capable enough on defending it or does have the capacity or capability in doing so.

Gaballo does really have some good numbers but i could say that age would really be putting up some advantage but in terms of experience then theres no doubt that Nonito does have the edge.
If he can still able to land up those swift and sharp counter punches then this would be an easy fight for Gaballo.

I also want that this to happen to see if who is more stronger among them since engaging more feud on social media doesn't make sense if they didn't prove anything in the ring but hopefully in future we can see this fight happen as there still a chance for this bout to be happen if both parties will agree to the contract and conditions given, but for now its good to see Donaire fight to defend his belt and let see if he's able to defend or retain his belt to shut those doubters mouth.

Although not expected by most PH boxing enthusiasts, I consider this a must to see fight. We will still see the bout between, Casimero, Inoue, and Donaire soon.

The fight isn't organized mandatorily for nothing. It's good to have prior fights between the expected major ones. It's also good for me to see other Filipinos taking clashes in world boxing. If Donaire won't be able to pass Gaballo, no more Casimero or Inoue fight in the future.

Yes, for sure, Nonito would defend his belt even if it is against another Filipino. But I disagree though, fighters are good in their last fight. And we have seen Nonito destroys Nordine with his combo. So even as he is getting older, he is also getting smarter and can still pull the trigger. No doubt that he will be the favorite to win against Gaballo here and maybe set up a rematch with Inoue early next year.
