If you go technical, the newbie will miss the point, get frustrated, and lose interest. Keep it basic and try to be practical.

Don't start by explaining Bitcoin as an Investment vehicle, they'll miss the point and confuse it with HYIP. Let them see it as money first, before anything else.
-

It's really difficult to deal with newbies in this subject but time and patience will do the trick.

also, if the newbie is really interested in knowing more about the nature of bitcoin and how it is now influencing the market, he can always read useful information from the internet. you don't need to explain technical things on him. he can easily access all that he needs via internet.
but he can always ask someone who is into crypto about other things that he is still confused of. but all the others can be taken care of, if he knows his way over the internet. this is the advantage today. one click in search button and you have tons of info that you need. but you need to slowly digest the info, otherwise, you will feel drowning and giving up to know more about this market

Simply explain and allow them to ask a question. Bitcoin is still known to us in the same way, but the process is slightly different. When some people first heard about bitcoin, they assumed it was a high-yield investment program (HYIP). After getting scammed, they learned the truth about bitcoin. I am one of those people who got scammed and then learned the truth about bitcoin. Usually, it is just a simple question that can be answered by searching the internet, but the question is: how do you make money with bitcoin? because there are numerous methods of earning money from it. Explain to them, and then allow them to ask questions so that you can answer their questions if they arise.

There's a friend about Bitcoin last 2 years who have no interest in it but I was surprised when he came to me last week to tell me what he need to know about Bitcoin. I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.
meaning your testimony is not enough for Him to trust and invest in bitcoin so this needs another friend of Him to show interest in this one?

is this really your friend?  Grin

This forum will be the first medium to know about bitcoin wherein your friend can interact on do's and don'ts regarding about bitcoin. Youtube is also the best for it hence it has more videos about it and you can also explain to him directly that will certainly make him more interested about bitcoin.

Well if we are going to explained Bitcoin to a newbie I think we need to have a big patience and think about how we start or understand crypto when we are also a newbie. Sometimes newbie always think that they already learn a lot of things but there emotions prevail and they will lose because they cannot manage or control thier emotions.
I agree on that controling emotions is also very important in crypto and I also once a newbie who experienced loss because I can't control my emotions when I see bloody market, I quickly dump my holdings even at loss so I end up lossing, we need to always learn and always think on how to handle different situation because in crypto we cannot assure everything because of the high volatility market.

actually it is not easy to introduce bitcoin to beginners, because all of that takes a long process, it is not enough just to tell stories, about bitcoin's work, about bitcoin adoption, and about the wallet that he must have, but we also have to always guide him, to keep learning bitcoin , so that he doesn't get down, and frustrated, because beginners are usually easy targets for scammers..

my experience about bitcoin, the first time I got to know bitcoin, I was introduced by a close friend of mine, at first I was doubtful that bitcoin could provide convenience to me, but in the end I got success with bitcoin, my friend continued to guide me, he taught me how to adopt bitcoin, and teaches about bitcoin exchange, and he teaches to make hardware wallets, I am very grateful to my friend, because with me learning bitcoin, my life is a little better, although it does not give wealth but at least it has made my economy a little better..

my friend tell me about trading, just the basic, put money on exchanger then trade it when the price going up and down. in that time, my lazy come through my head and nothing i do.
my friend tell me what bitcoin is, how you get it, how to deal with other thing, and now here i am.
this is about how you give them good sentence, about detail, not only put the order, but also take responsibility in every action they ask.

He’s clearly just interested in profit making and not the technicalities. So keep it simple, teach him how to buy, sell or hodl. How to avoid scams and how to keep his wallet safe.

actually it is not easy to introduce bitcoin to beginners, because all of that takes a long process, it is not enough just to tell stories, about bitcoin's work, about bitcoin adoption, and about the wallet that he must have, but we also have to always guide him, to keep learning bitcoin , so that he doesn't get down, and frustrated, because beginners are usually easy targets for scammers..
explaining about bitcoin and taking it seems like an easy thing nowadays. especially when there are enough examples of successful people. other than that, bitcoin is not a secret anymore. however, making them understand the risks was a very difficult thing. many of them think that bitcoin is a fast way to make money. however, such an expectation could easily crush them. however, if you want to explain about bitcoin, try to make them understand the benefits and risks.
some people I teach, I tell them to look for that information on the internet, then ask me what they don't know.

i think if you want to explain bitcoin to newbies, you need to explain about the 'world' of bitcoin, i  mean you need to explain about the blockchain first, after you tell about blockchain, you can tell about the private key, and the address, tell them about private key are private, just the owner can know about the private key. and then you can tell then about block explorer, about tx hash, and gas fee, i think it will be great if you explain them detail like i said hahaha

This forum will be the first medium to know about bitcoin wherein your friend can interact on do's and don'ts regarding about bitcoin. Youtube is also the best for it hence it has more videos about it and you can also explain to him directly that will certainly make him more interested about bitcoin.
But unfortunately only a handful of people know about this forum, even if I wasn't introduced to this forum by a friend a few years ago, maybe I wouldn't have known about this forum and maybe never even knew that there was a forum that specifically discussed this kind of thing.
As for YouTube, it might be a pretty good reference because there are a lot of content creators currently discussing crypto, especially bitcoin.
besides that they can also understand more because they don't only focus on reading because there are so many people who are lazy to read but on media platforms like YouTube they are more visualized through direct examples as well as sound and video

From experience, I think the best way to explain bitcoin to a newbie is that it is a risk investment and no guarantee of profit, you can't invest with your life saving money but only money you afford to loose. Bitcoin or crypto at large isn't it get rich instantly investment. You loose some, you gain some. And always remember to use this acronym NFA!. I think with this little clue, whoever is teaching will be way free from any embarrassment coming from the newbie

My question is, is there a way or link for to explain Bitcoin to newbies?
For better explanation about Bitcoin or other Crypto currency you can search video on YouTube, have many video about Bitcoin and also you can search in google. This both are best option for better understanding about Bitcoin.

Personally I referred them to search online especially watching some youtube videos just to grasp some knowledge and idea of bitcoin, thereafter I practicalized it by opening a new blockchain wallet using an android mobile phone, I did explained to them how to receive bitcoin in to the wallet respectively and show them where to copy their BTC address for transactions, I also show them how to send bitcoin to another person, this are some basic knowledge required by a newbie which I believe is very important.

Comprehensive information about Bitcoin can be found on the internet. Knowing about bitcoin is not something that is difficult to find. Rome was not built in a day. Start by teaching Him the ideology of Bitcoin and blockchain technology.

if his friend is interested in getting into the cryto world, you just need to teach him how to register the market correctly and how to make a deposit and then how to trade. so no need to force things, because it will learn on its own slowly step by step. this way you don't bother him and he
That means understanding bitcoin is all of knowing the Trading side of bitcoin, from my side i thought that understanding bitcoin is like knowing the wallets first that is good to secure some coins and also knowing when to buy because of lost and also know when to sell to make profit of big, i see trading like the difficult side of bitcoin

for me, tell about this site is better than you just go online by yourself, asked by friend to do something alone is hard. because, from this site, you know not only bitcoin, and when you get paid, you forced to use wallet, checking transfer about that information, and other thing. you play a game, and learn the other that relate directly.
