There's a friend about Bitcoin last 2 years who have no interest in it but I was surprised when he came to me last week to tell me what he need to know about Bitcoin. I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.
Yeah in that case, you should make an effort to find out why they asked this question. Possible that they have been approached by a ponzi scheme promoter trying to sell their affiliate link like a predator. Those "get-rich-quick" statements point me towards that suspicion, so better to correct their possible misguidance.

I think the best way to do this is through a personal discussion. Talk to them and explain what bitcoin is, use such threads to refresh your own knowledge instead of telling them to read it because in 99% of cases people dont read but they want to listen to someone.  Cool

Add in the facts that scams happen in crypto rampantly and there is no check on scammers because they use the pseudo-anonymity provided by crypto to their advantage.

Show him the forum and he will find extensive guides to know each and every technical aspect of bitcoin working and most importantly your friend will get correct information without any misguidance over the internet who are promoting shitcoins by defaming bitcoin. There are lot of things like how btc works, transactions and all other things and how to stay away from all the negative vibes and ponzi schemes. When he will truly knows what bitcoin is he will like it not afraid of it.

To be honest, I got to know Bitcoin more after being active in this forum, so it's really good to suggest newbies to be active in this forum. Actually
there are many articles scattered on the internet about Bitcoin, but if we are not careful we will get misleading information. The problem is
the newbie will have difficulty filtering the information obtained on the internet, then the best way is to join this forum and read all the topics
about crypto in this forum, if there are those who do not understand can join the discussion in this forum. I believe slowly newbies will understand
how Bitcoin works, and understand how to use Bitcoin.

For beginners there are many things he must know to jump into the world of bitcoin, especially they must be ready to face the risk of every investment or participate in a project, and for beginners must read first every rule in this forum so that he does not violate, most importantly he always wants to ask if there are problems that are being faced in this forum, And to get results, we need patience in investing and following reward projects, because the results we get today are not as easy as we think and we listen to others.

There are a lot of things to learn about Bitcoin, so if he’s going to be asking what Bitcoin is simply all about, is just a peer to peer transaction method. With that said, if he’s talking about investments and how he’s going to go about that, there are a lot of things that he can do in the Bitcoin market: he can choose to be a trader (which is a day trader) or he can just be an investor that would be going long term investments.

Then I think you should make him understand the risks that are involved in investing his money in Bitcoin, because someone might have told him that they earned a lot of money from Bitcoin doesn’t mean that he is also going to make that much within a short time, he will need to have patience and invest what he can afford to risk.

You can introduce this forum to your friend and ask him to read so many good recommendations in every section. You can try to teach him the investment side of cryptocurrency, and don't try trading if he doesn't have an interest in trading.

In investment, you can tell him to buy at a low and keep it for a while and do that constantly every week or month.

But before that, you can ask him what he wants from cryptocurrency. And if he asks you what you get from cryptocurrency, you can teach him based on your experience. That will be the best for him to learn from your experience and build his passion for cryptocurrency.

If you're expecting a detailed lesson, I'll point them to the Bitcoin Wiki site to learn, I think it's a complete bitcoin library that explains it in a simple and beginner friendly (understandable) way.

Many beginners fail to enter crypto because the teacher's mistake is to give too many references that he doesn't really want to know like, what are altcoins with hundreds of different mechanisms.

When there's plenty of resources, they might get overwhelmed with it and that might even leading to confusion on their part since there's a lot of resources. So best option would be to use the wiki to learn the basics of Bitcoin and then proceed to know how they want to participate in crypto whether as a bitcoin investor, or trader.

you use bitcoin, right? then explain to your friend exactly how you have been doing since the first day you met bitcoin until today, if you can still send and receive bitcoin, you can hodl or spend it then explain that to your friend, you don't need to go into more technical details, explains what you've learned since you met bitcoin. a lot of people are not in this market to know about technical details, they are for profit so explain what they want and not what they don't want

the first, if the reason he is interested in the crypto world is because he is tempted by easy profits as said, then you can provide an understanding in advance about the advantages and risks of bitcoin and other crypto. because for new people it is not easy to be able to learn well and be willing to accept the risks that can be obtained if one day he joins the crypto world and finally succumbs to the situation. if he can understand that and wants to continue then you can suggest this forum for him to read first to increase his knowledge.

Be upfront that there's more than meets the eyes here. Just be frank with him that this is not always an easy path to earn profits. He has to know the truth or else, he will have false expectations in this market. A lot of newcomers will come and check about crypto because they have seen the price level in the recent days. But if the price is going down, they may start thinking again about their involvement. What the OP can do is just be honest about his experiences and share his crypto journey, because for sure, it is not all sunshine and roses.

You should explain how to buy, transfer and store Bitcoin. Also you ought to explain all advantages of Bitcoin over fiat money. Maybe he will get interested in defi-projects or in trading so you can tell him about different ways to make money on this market. But don't forget to warn him about scammers and that he mustn't tell anybody his passwords and seed phrases.

YouTube is now not a great source of learning about bitcoin because they are not educating you about the true working of bitcoin but are busy on promotion and earnings and that's why they will talk nonsense about bitcoin as they just want to make video and have no knowledge. So that's why it's hard to trust what you see on internet but on forum you can have true and accurate information which you can share with others also.

The best option for a newbie is not to rush into the industry. This does not mean not working at all. It is better to start in small steps, so the chances of success are much higher.

There's a friend about Bitcoin last 2 years who have no interest in it but I was surprised when he came to me last week to tell me what he need to know about Bitcoin. I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.

He's still a newbie. My question is, is there a way or link for to explain Bitcoin to newbies?

Apart from the forum rules and regulations is there a thread on this forum that explains in detail the whole concept of crypto currency on this forum?
It's dangerous when people get into Bitcoin just because they want to profit from it. I think explaining how Bitcoin is different from fiat and CBDCs is a good start, but then you should mention that most places don't accept Bitcoin as payment yet. Then you can show the price chart, so that the person can see that Bitcoin's value does grow over time. But don't forget to draw attention to bear markets as well, so that the person realizes that his investment can decrease by half or even more and stay like that for a few years. And then, once the risks are acknowledged, you can talk about scams, wallets and other things mentioned in the thread.

He's still not interested in Bitcoin with that kind of reason. He just wants to make money. I don't know but you should probably save yourself from the trouble of explaining technical details or basics on the blockchain. Go straight to how to buy BTC and tell the risks of investing.

I have yet to meet a real-life person who was interested in Bitcoin for anything other than making money the easy way, which is a kind of philosophy that runs through the internet and the stories of those who got rich by investing a few hundred dollars, and today they have millions. I, on the other hand, have made a decision before that I will not help anyone to invest in BTC or any altcoin, until that person understands the basics, and proves that he is capable of being his own bank.

You should do everything possible to prevent anyone in your life from blaming you for anything negative that can happen after a friend or acquaintance invests in cryptocurrencies. The Internet is full of completely free knowledge, and those who are not able to find that knowledge are, in most cases, not ready to possess something as sensitive and volatile as Bitcoin.

This more of a rhetorical question.
You make use of the internet and ask all of this ?
Although, this can be gotten from YouTube and in the help area/board
Do well to spend more than an hour vor two learning about Bitcoin and how it operates.
On the forums are not completely honest sharing, sometimes there are a lot of layers of anonymity and use their languages to arouse more suspicion in the community for their cause and maybe a project they are behind, those are decoys to lure people without news sources into going in the wrong direction. Youtube can gather a lot of meaningless videos and have components that are established and shared to make money advertising but there are also quite a few individuals who aim for a professional channel and support users, newbies can choose to follow channels with high engagement

Actually there are lots of questions about teaching a beginner to get to know Bitcoin, but before that, he must first know what the purpose of knowing Bitcoin is, whether he wants to invest in Bitcoin or how.

I think if you want to tell a newbie to get to know Bitcoin and you tell him how to transact using Bitcoins to him then you can explain how to store Bitcoins and send Bitcoins and then you explain how to invest with Bitcoin or other like Altcoins. From there he would surely understand how he could learn all that.

The answer that often arises is to read material about crypto. But I think it seems boring, especially for beginners who are not used to things like that. Their minds must be focused on quick profits. But there is no need to worry because as time goes on new ideas are also emerging, now there are many tricks to play crypto in the form of videos or images on several social media. This can be a step in explaining crypto to newbies.
