I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.

Be careful here, this user is only interested in the quick money and you need to clear him on this before he goes on the wrong part. First make him understand Bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme were you get rich overnight. Here you profit by holding for years. Some lucky individual gamble and get lucky when the price of Bitcoin is about to rise or pick some so to hyped altcoins and those are the people making others believe they can do the same.

If he joins this community with this mindset and gets unlucky he will get scammed or lose heavily.  Profiting from Bitcoin takes patience, let him get in when everyone is panicking and hold through the storm (corrections) and in future he will be among those celebrating.

I feel like as much as the essence of Bitcoin, its potential benefits and opportunities that comes along it, safety precautions must be discussed with the newbies. It is crucial that everything is thoroughly discussed to someone new with Bitcoin because it can be overwhelming especially that many misleading information can be directed into their way which can result to some bad experience.

There's a friend about Bitcoin last 2 years who have no interest in it but I was surprised when he came to me last week to tell me what he need to know about Bitcoin. I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.

He's still a newbie. My question is, is there a way or link for to explain Bitcoin to newbies?

Apart from the forum rules and regulations is there a thread on this forum that explains in detail the whole concept of crypto currency on this forum?
no need to find thread or forum for it if you really want to help him to know what's bitcoin and what are the benefits that he can get from it. I mean you don't need to explain it by your self.. Infact what's the use of Internet? .. Fyi a million of people talking about cryptos since it obtained attention around the globe and until now wherein the price really too high. so for sure even you're just using a simple keywords you can easily find some source and interesting topic about cryptos especially bitcoin.. It's so easy to introduce nowadays mate to be honest , but just refer them which is the most easiest way to obtain more information.  Wink

Although, this can be gotten from YouTube and in the help area/board
Do well to spend more than an hour vor two learning about Bitcoin and how it operates.
YouTube is now not a great source of learning about bitcoin because they are not educating you about the true working of bitcoin but are busy on promotion and earnings and that's why they will talk nonsense about bitcoin as they just want to make video and have no knowledge. So that's why it's hard to trust what you see on internet but on forum you can have true and accurate information which you can share with others also.
This forum is indeed a great place for people to learn/share thoughts about bitcoin or the crypto environment, still youtube isn't totally bad, though. Its all depends on which channel we decide to follow in order to learn bitcoin, there some good channel that sharing great contents such as aantonop's channel. The thing is it might be hard if someone just leans on youtube solely, not to mention in case s/he faces some case which hard to understand and no one on his side to answer its queries.

a lot of new people today who want to get to know bitcoin from the start, are only interested in trading. I saw it in some of my friends and relatives who asked me.
their focus is on trading, not on its development and use.
to introduce a very simple trade, of course, we can see some YouTubers. especially for some youtube accounts of exchange platforms that provide demos. that's very helpful.

Every crypto greenhorn (novice/newbie) who had approached me about Bitcoin had come with the intention of making money from it. They come like this, "Ahem, I heard there's something called Bitcoin and I heard people are making a LOT (they always stress that part) of money from it." It's always that pattern they come with. Now, I have developed that mindset that every newbie has the intention of profiting from Bitcoin. The tech aspect is always a secondary concern to them. So, I make it a point of duty to explain Bitcoin to any that comes my way by letting them know that nothing good comes easy. I warn them that Bitcoin isn't a Ponzi or a Get Rich Quick Scheme and that people also lose money dealing on it too the same way they could make money from it. At that point, if they still show interest I then commence lecturing them. Otherwise, I end it there. Now isn't the time to dwell on wasted efforts. A lot of these supposedly newbies were a part of those FUDding about Bitcoin a few years ago when they strongly believed it was a bubble.

With the price of Bitcoin reaching new ATH twice this year, of course attracting the attention of many people,  there will definitely be many new
people who want to learn Bitcoin. Investing and trading are the things that are most in demand from Bitcoin for now, because many new people
really want to know Bitcoin, they usually want to be able to make a profit from Bitcoin. Not to use it as payment, so we can suggest newbies to
learn trading or investment can be from reading various articles on the internet, or they can also make it easier to understand, they can watch
video tutorials on YouTube. To get a more understanding, newbies can start reading topics in this forum that explain how to trade or invest well.
If newbie still don't understand, newbie can join the discussion in the forum, later many high rank members will help.

First Explain to Him that it is a Stupid Idea that someone earn from crypto "Without Effort" because there is no such thing unless you have a mirror ball and you can just find what coin will go UP>

in Bitcoin he needs to monitor and even take the right timing in which includes effort.

If just introducing it is difficult and easy to leave, it's better to make newbies think that with bitcoin investment our money can increase hundreds of percent in a year or even less, I'm sure in a simple way like that newbies are more interested than technical things about bitcoin.

Well for starters, you can refer to him this forum so he can utilize the search bar if there are any questions that he might ask. Another thing, I would refer to this video since it explained cryptocurrencies using real-life applications. It is very informative as it covered subjects on the blockchain, ledgers, nodes, etc.

What the video did not tackle are the issues revolving around BTCs. Remember that due to its anonymity, it may be used as a currency for illegal transactions under the dark web. But the internet will be your material as there are tons of videos/threads explaining BTC to newbies.

If there are people who want to learn about the crypto world, the most important thing we have to explain is about the risks that must be faced when they are already in this forum or by investing, because everyone is interested in learning crypto because they have seen the results shown. get very big on other people but they don't know how hard and time we have struggled, and for beginners reading every article about crypto it is also very important so that when we explain how to get results he is easy to respond.

Actually explaining about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to newbies is not an easy task, you must observe patience while doing it, especially if the person has no knowledge about the internet and computer functions, Im always encountered that problem in my country, and they always back to me and ask about it even in the night time which is a hassle, in my opinion, I already give them the important link to visit and other useful information as a guide to learn but still, they want to try in actual that's why I have no choice but to teach them in actual one by one.

It's great to know that your friend is now interested on bitcoin. Given that crypto in general has a not so good reputation because of the scams and schemes.

Usually, the newbies are really enticed by the testinomies they have heard personally or seen on the Internet. It gives them the courage and driving force to follow the footsteps to gain profit just as much as the people they notice who are into crypto. by having that as a reason has its two sides of the coin. First, he will be successful because of the knowledge he will gain along the way of discovering and understanding bitcoin. The other one will be failure which could happen if he will not take note and execute the important things needed.

Since you know about his reason now, you should introduce him to the basics and fundamentals. Let him know and explore the nature of crypto. Tell him how it works in layman's term and let him do his own research. Tell him about the basic rules that could save him big time such as "invest what you can only afford to lose" and "buy low, sell high". Aside from that, let him reassess how long he will be staying in our community, will he be here for the long term or short term? By identifying that he will know what will suit him best as an investor.

Educate and give him awareness as well about the frauds, scams, and hacking. It's essential to know how to distinguish and avoid such to make sure your funds is secured enough. I hope I gave beneficial insights to you and to your friend. Looking forward for his official joining as an investor in crypto.

Varieties of links to beginners guide on how to learn and educate newbies on crypto has been provided by members but i will also suggest a personal tutoring provided the newbie is on a closer proximity to you, this will enhance a practical hands on while teaching will be made effective provided one can create time despite busy schedules to impact knowledge on newbie with the curiosity to learn crypto. Also, one can make use of downloaded online crypto materials for beginners, use of demo account and many more crypto teaching aid materials.

Since your friend is familiar with the name of Bitcoin since you already tried to convince as you said, so it shouldn't be tough. But the problem is, he heard others made a profit from Bitcoin and that's the reason why suddenly he become interested in Bitcoin. Although it's not surprising to me, and that's how at the beginning newbies become interested, but they would regret it later if you don't explain about Bitcoin technology and fundamentally how its works. Try to explain first how decentralized cryptocurrency works and how price becomes volatile where he might get profit or he might lose money as well. I this is the right way to explain.

maybe many people are late to know what Cryptocurrency or more famous Bitcoin is,
they just realized that bitcoin nowadays is very important, be it for investment or payment which is now widely used,
it's better before entering bitcoin, learn first like friends did in the link above, because it's not as easy as people say about Bitcoin, it needs proper analysis and good lessons, to get to know what Bitcoin is

Bitcoin is decentralized digital cash that eliminates the need for intermediaries like banks and governments, using instead a peer-to-peer computer network to confirm purchases directly between users. Fiat money (like the U.S. dollars in your bank account) is backed and regulated by the government that issues it.

I think it's better to explain or teach friends with caution, because not the right advice can ruin a strong friendship, it's better to publish materials or the same forum, let them read and study themselves.
