It really surprised almost everyone that Crystal Palace was able to defeat Aston Villa, but all I will say is that football is always full of surprises. To be honest, Aston Villa played well, but they were just not lucky enough to score goals. Aston Villa was the team that was in control of the pitch and created about five shots on target; not one of them was converted into a goal. Now that Crystal Palace is qualified for the final, they are waiting to see which team they will meet in the final. If it was Nottingham, I can say that Crystal Palace might not encounter the same challenge. However, if it’s Manchester City they meet in the final, and if Manchester City can reach the final, I don’t think Crystal Palace can win it again.

It's hard to believe, seeing Aston Villa's performance this season is quite consistent in the premier league compared to Crystal Palace but the results are different in the FA Cup and for the first time Crystal Palace has advanced to the final. Crystal Palace won with a convincing score of 3-0 and Ismaïla Sarr appeared quite promising after being able to score brace against Aston Villa.
Looking for the match statistic, Crystal Palace loss dominance from Aston Villa have 71% ball possession and creating 5 shots on target but not a single shot on target resulted in goal.

I'm quite the Citizens are not going to the this season like that without something for their fans. This is definitely Pep's worst season as a manger but despite such tremendous dip in form for him and his team, they are one step or should I say one foot into qualifying for the Emirates FA cup finals. And I'm convinced that if eventually they qualify for this final, there's every indication that they would want to give their all to win it. At least let their fans have something to cheer about for the season.

Happy to see City is leading the game by Lewis's goal. So far so good, but only stressed to see how Savinho always being so allergic in passing the ball to his teammate.

On other hand, Kova looks so banging in this game, and show incredible performance since the first minute. They're leading the game, but i think one goal is not enough. They need to add another goal in order to get into final to face Crystal Palace.

I don't expect them to go shoulder to shoulder with Manchester City in terms of ball possession or chances created but one of their strengths is relying on their pacy forwards like Elanga whenever they have the ball which I'm not seeing in this game. If they want to comeback in the game, they need to stop playing defensive and take the game to City.

City have scored the second goal to make it 0-2. Gvardiol was able to find the back of the net with a beautiful header after a corner kick cross on the 51st minutes. Nottingham is missing quite some good chances of scoring their first goal. Elanga missed his best chance of finding the back of the net before Gvardiol scored City second goal. Forest is very unlucky in this match.

Football is sometimes a myth that human can not just understand or even predict. Aston Villa was widely predicted to be in the final and the next team was Manchester city but yesterday many were stunned with the result of Crystal palace, this place side haven’t won any match for the past four matches putting three past Aston Villa who were running riot against highflying Newcastle just few days here. This should be Crystal palace second final in the last 10 years as I can remember the 2016 final against Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United side. Can they do a Newcastle in this FA cup?

As for Manchester city they are definitely one team I had predicted will go through because of late Nottingham Forest have been just too poor, had it been that this game was played a month ago when Nottingham was flying i would have doubted Manchester City but right now they can’t get past Manchester City. It is actually a good thing that with Pep having one of his worst seasons in his entire career he could possibly end up with a trophy, that his how great of a manager he is

Yeap, they created more chances to score but were wasteful in front of goal. Crystal Palace on the other hand had 4 shots on target and capitalised on it thereby scoring three goals. In games like this you need to be clinical or you get punished and it's definitely one of those games that the better team in terms of play got punished because they weren't clinical in front of goal.
I still don't think it was the PSG game that reduced their morale because after the loss, they faced Newcastle and we all saw what Aston Villa did to them.

This is the luck of having a coach who has the idea to immediately rise from adversity. This season Manchester City is very inconsistent, they are slumping in the domestic league, even in the champions league they are not performing well but they still have the opportunity to get one title, namely the FA Cup. Man City managed to advance to the FA final after defeating Nottingham Forest, and this is the third year in a row they have entered the FA Final.

And now in the FA final they will face Crystal Palace, of course on paper Manchester City is superior to Crystal Palace so Manchester City will win the FA trophy easily. Because Defeating Crystal Palace the chances of winning are much greater than Aston Villa but unfortunately Aston Villa surprisingly lost to Crystal Palace. so I am 95% sure Manchester city they will be champions.

On the contrary, I don't think the match against PSG lowered their morale, it did the opposite. For them to come from behind to win a team like PSG, that's a morale booster. Also, after that game, they went ahead and demolished Newcastle United 4 - 1, that's to tell you the morale was still high. However, what happened yesterday, I cannot explain. If I could guess, I'd say fatigue or failed tactics. They had most of the ball but couldn't do anything with it. I really wanted Villa to win but Palace was just too good and they deserved the victory.

It would be amazing if somehow Palace ruins City's plan and actually lift the trophy as it would be great for football in general as I'm tired to see the same teams winning over and over again.

As a rival fan, it'd be nice to see this but I'm skeptical City would allow the FA cup slip through their fingers.

Even though Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City team would have underestimated Crystal Palace because they are the better side in the game, you don't expect that to happen right now when they are clearly seeing that they will be ending the season without having a trophy if they fail to win Palace in the finals. Crystal Palace will be looking forward to defeating City to win the cup but I think City is still the better side and I think they will be winning the cup regardless of what Palace will play.

With the way crystal palace played against Aston villa yesterday, I don’t think anyone will be underestimating them in the final. Manchester City were able to get a win against Nottingham forest today, that’s really a nice one for them, because they have been promoted to the FA cup final, and they will be playing against crystal palace in the final.

The two teams have played well before they get to the current stage which they are, so I don’t think any of the two teams should be underestimated. The match is going to be a tough one, but if I will be predicting who will be winning the FA cup this season, then I will be predicting Manchester city to win it, they have a better squad, and strong squad than crystal palace. As we can see pep Guardiola will want to win at least a trophy this season, and the trophy left is the FA cup.

The result is not surprising at all and besides, Nothingham Forest didn't play badly but unfortunately luck wasn't just on their side today. Although, forest performance in the first half was very terrible perhaps due to poor team selection but they did much better in the second half. Regardless, Nothingham has been amazing this season because last season they were battling relegation. I don't think anyone ever dream of seeing them fighting for champions league slot this season or reaching the Semi final in the FA CUP. Manchester city was just too good for them to handle and I don't Palace can stop them in the final either.

Manchester City season is poor and they are fighting for a Champions League spot. Since they barely don't have anything to win then getting the FA Cup will be a reward that they will guarantee not to miss.
Apart from the money, the winner of the competition is gonna have a spot for UEFA Europa League and Crystal Palace has no chance there. Their chance of winning the cup is small and I doubt they could stand up in front of City. I respect their efforts and the result they finished with in front of Aston Villa. It is hard to eliminate them theoretically, yet they did. Nevertheless, Manchester City will be another story.
