Teams that qualified today in the FA Cup 5th round are Southampton, Port Vale, and Leeds United.
I couldnt believe my eyes, Port Vale was able to withstand the almighty Sunderland after scoring in the first half. Sunderland did all their best to equalize but to no avail. Fulham was disappointing as well. One thing I noticed is how smaller division teams have performed incredibly well in this 5th round. Two had made their way to the semi-finals.

I didn’t watch the Sunderland game but, I was greatly surprised to have found them a goal behind in the first half and they couldn’t manage to equalize just that 1 goal. This is a team that drew Arsenal in the premier league and have been defiant when facing fierce opposition but in this game, against a team they can easily beat, they couldn’t come up with those performance we admire of them, it’s just pathetic but, that’s football isn’t it.

So far there have been 2 surprising results.

• Fulham lost to Southampton by 0-1 home.
• Sunderland lost against Port Vale away by the same score which was a bigger surprise! 

None of these PL teams have any objective left in the league so I thought they would be more competitive in the FA Cup.

By the way even Chelsea and Arsenal might have surprised us. None of their matches went easy - especially the one Chelsea played...

All these cup games usually come with so many surprises and that's why anytime it's time for cup games I usually don't include them in my games that I selected but I made this mistake yesterday and Chelsea cost me a very big win because they failed to win on full which was a big surprise to me after they have just smashed Aston Villa by a very big margin in the premier League. I literally thought that game would be an easy win for them.

When you don't expect Chelsea to win in their match, they will win it. But when you expect them to win, that's when they will give you a heartbreaking surprise.

Chelsea is just fond of letting people's expectations down. I know how I anticipated their win against Wrexham before the second half ended, but they messed everything up leaving me with the shock of my life when they were struggling to equalize in the last minutes of the second half

Well, considering the fact that Leeds United plays in the top tier division of English football makes the the team with the advantage unlike Norwich city who are a lower division team, so when they finally meet, Leeds would be playing with the consciousness of the big team whereas Norwich city would be regarded as the underdogs, so I expect Leeds United to win this game based on their status as a premier League team.

Leeds united's performance was also erratic. Despite that, they performed very well against Nnorwich today. They were able to identify the weaknesses of Norwich's defense well.

They tried to  control the match from the beginning of the match. Leeds players were able to score  two goals in the first half. On the other hand, Norwich's performance in the first half was very weak. They  could not  make any strong attack and could not build a strong defense. After leading 2-0 in the first half , it was quite easy for leeds to win the match.

Just as I had envisaged the game to go in favour of Leeds United that's exactly what played out, and with a 3 goals cleansheet win showing how Leeds actually had dominance of the entire time of the game displaying superiority in the league difference where both teams plays. Excellent result i must say, which doesn't appear coming from an erratic performance as you had mentioned earlier.  I guess the second half became more tough than the first, because it really took much time for Leeds to get the third goal that sealed the game.

"Fulham was disappointing" As if you have forgotten they were one tome hot cakes in the Premier League Competition. They defended quite well and made sure they kept Fulham at bay. Two double lose for the London side, I wonder next in the Premier League Competition.
There was one little mistake from their defender which I wouldn't deem to be penalty worthy but the officials went on to give it as a goal. Leeds United played good football from start to finish and they made sure they converted chances.

Sunderland has been really brilliant with their premier league games and so it was expected of them as a brilliantly competing team in the premier league, they were not going to easily get knocked out by a small team in the FA cup competition but then it looks like they may not have placed priority to this game and that is why they lost but it will not be a good excuse by the way, They were expected to have gone beyond this stage in the FA cup at least.

No desire or passion is committed. Port Vale deserves every credit. Perhaps, they wanted it more and deserved to go through to next stage. Not for one minute did Sunderland played like they wanted to win it. Sunderland have been a giant killer in the Premier League and it's actually surprising losing to a team like this. They probably prefer to lose to a club like this than a Premier league team.

I think Sunderland was thinking they were easily gonna win this match but in the end that didnt happen. The field was terrible plus Port Vale was really motivated and i think Sunderland had a good chance to do something big because in the premier league they will surely be in the middle of the table.

The games that day were all a surprising result, two premier league teams lost to teams from lower division and even Sunderland much was expected of them but it wasn’t their day.
I know FA cup always gives us the drama and thrills, upsets and wonders. Lower division teams see it as a huge opportunity to play against the premier league teams so they always want to prove something to themselves and to their fans.

At first glance it seems to me that Brentford, who are strong on paper, will be the favourites in this crucial fifth round match because this team has drawn against Arsenal and won against Newcastle this season, so by analyzing the statistics of the two teams in this game today, we can conclude that most bettors will consider Brentford the favorite to win today's match in the FA Cup tournament. Although West Ham can be seen as a weaker side but their style of play for sometime now has been impressive so it must be a hard one for Brentford even if they're the favorite, like we all know...these days the favorite in any encounter might be the losing just like this game. Brentford have seen a tougher opponent and you'd agree with me that West Ham are doing everything possible to stay on top in this encounter. Lol like your analysis.. just wish you shared the team name you support because of am to guess you could be a Liverpool or Manchester United fan making sure no silverware comes in Arsenal's way 

Otherwise every competition always has one or two teams that have an easier route to Silverware, just like Chelsea had an easy route in the Club World cup...but from the analysis this already looks like premier league teams will be playing the final which makes it tough for all teams

Westham has shown serious signs that they would win the game, they were already beating Brentford 2-1 in the first half. Bowen is a good player and Westham should make sure they don't sell him, his performance is great and if the match ends with the current score I think he deserves getting the man of the match.
 There's still hope for Brentford, they equalised before Bowen scored the first goal and could still score another one since there's still enough time before the game ends, they're trying their best but should do better if they want to qualify. Have you really asked or cared to know how these draws are being selected, you think is just something that the FA decides on their own. As far as i know, these draw are being selected randomly from a set of numbered balls so it's not like the FA deliberately merge Liverpool and Manchester City together but it was the result of numbers that were picked from the container. And you both are not wrong, westham are up in the first half already with 2 goals to 1, well it been a very interesting and intensive match so far so I believe we are going to see goals again in this game, westham need just a goal to secure a place in the quarter finals while brentford need a goal in this one to try and push through the extra time and possibly get a winner in this game.

Any of this side that ends up getting through will be playing Leeds United which I feel will be a good thing for any side who goes through. Well for me I gambled on both teams to score and they did that very fast for me so for now I’m very relaxed in watching this on right now.

Chelsea fans are very happy with this draw, they are afraid of playing Arsenal again this season which I think
Can still be possible if both Arsenal and Chelsea keeps winning their respective matches, they can meet again either in the semifinals or in the final since they are not in the same path in the quarterfinals.

Only Manchester City have difficult fixture in the draw, they will play against Liverpool which will reduce the load for Arsenal because they appear clearly as the favorites to win the FA Cup again because either Manchester City or Chelsea are not in good form this l season to challenge Arsenal .
