Southampton are performing well. Their performance surprised me a lot. Southampton took the lead in the 35th minute of the match thanks to Ross Stewart's goal. They  were able to make some strong attacks. And the most important  thing  is that they were able to resist Arsenal's attacks in the first half. Arsenal tried a lot to score in the first half. But they could not  score any goals.

The second half was also quite enjoyable. Arsenal  were desperate to score. Gyokeres scored from Havertz's pass in the 68th minute. The match was tied at 1-1 after  80 minutes. Arsenal  players still tried to score.

I think this will show why football is the best sport in the world, the unpredictable always happen and will continue happening, Southampton has shocked one more time but in a more thougher way this time around, first of all beating Fulham in the knockout stage off the competition and now removing Arsenal from the competition, who are most likely to win their domestiic league this season.  

If Southampton can keep up with this performance, they can also knock out their remaining opponents in this competition, so kudos to them one more time.

I think Southampton want to lift the FA cup trophy this season because for them to pushed away Fullham and Arsenal shows they can do it to other teams. What a sad day for Arsenal, who could have believe that a championship team will eliminate Arsenal in this quarter final, I was completely shocked about Arsenal performance in this game. This is a team that was suppose to correct their past mistakes in this two trophies but they just make everything difficult by themselves, the disappointment is too much for their fans I think they should let them continue with their normal losing since they don't want to help themselves.

Liverpool suffered a heavy defeat, as did Arsenal. It was a truly unfortunate day to start the season after the international break.

I didn’t understand how Manchester City was able to make such quick and easy work on Liverpool. I was expecting a very difficult performance in this one but, Manchester City saw how they could miss the chance on lifting yet another trophy and didn’t want to give anything out to Liverpool. Pep is surely looking to bag yet another trophy to shade the team’s performance this season.

Is better not to watch the game because Arsenal wasn't Arsenal in that game against Southampton and the Champions side are still unbeaten in 15 games across all competitions, this should have given Arteta a sign that he should go all out with his best to get a win, their record is really impressive for Arsenal to joke with and now they're out. Honestly the fans of Arsenal can't sleep tonight because their dreams of winning 4 titles this season has been cut short for no better reason. Next week the Gunners have Sporting CP to worry about and with these two games they lost to City and Southampton doesn't say anything good about them facing Sporting CP, how I wish the good performance of winning games was still active for them to win today's game, seems like City has exposed the Gunners because nothing seems to work out for Arsenal in that game, what a pity for the fans.

Unbelievable, Arsenal's FA cup season is done. I was anticipating for a rematch between Manchester City and Arsenal in this FA cup. Some of us thought it will be a repeat of the Carabao cup, but now all hopes of that has been dashed out. Before the Carabao finals, Arsenal was in a position of winning the quadruple, it was reduced to treble after Manchester City lifted the Carabao cup and now that the are out of the FA cup, it's now reduced to double. Even if they don't win the champions league, they should secure the league. This is the time for them to get more serious and focus on one instead of chasing all at the same time. They have already lost two, they should focus on the league.

Sad that the title expectations are beginning to reduce, this may possibly affect the psychology of the team and if they continue this way, this may be just another season ending without trophy again. The two titles Arsenal has lost so far appear like the easiest they would have been able to get without too many stress, but now since  they have lost them both, the most competitive titles that are remaining, I am beginning to nurse some doubts about their possible chances to win them.

It's weird you didn't even aware about how improved City after Pep did new approach to his team. They beat Arsenal who being called as a team with best defense in the league rn. So how can you be surprised when they thrashed Liverpool who obviously had weaker defense compared to the Arsenal?
4 - 0 is surely a fair result consider how useless Liverpool's defense and attackers. The entire players of liverpool like headless chicken in this game. So they deserve it.

Arsenal has been knocked out of the FA cup after they suffered a 2:1 defeat against Southampton in the quarter finals. Right from the first half when Arsenal conceded and they never really showed much pressure just like they did against Manchester City in the Carabao cup finals. With how Arsenal has been performing lately, i doubt if they can reach the Champions League finals, they might end in the semis just as they did last season because with this performance am seeing now, they can't win the Champions League. If they can't win teams in England, is it teams outside England that they would be able to win? Arsenal is a great disappointment, they are so annoying to watch sometimes despite that they have made a remarkable performance this season but they still need a lot of work to do in order for them to meet the criteria of a world class team.

I said it earlier, Manchester city is the owner of FA cup even though I didn't expect Arsenal to be too quick in loosing at this stage. I expected them to be beaten by Manchester city too. Bro, I lack words each time I see how consistent the Gunners are in killing the happiness of the fans, they wanted more to be given when the opportunity comes but Arsenal is like a cursed club or a club that winning trophies is an abomination to them, this has to stop. Arsenal is always a surprising team first they got eliminated in the Caraboa cup final by Manchester City, yesterday in the FA Cup quarter final Southampton still eliminated them by 2 goals to 1 out of four tittle race they have been they have lost two remaining 2 which is the English Premier league tittle and the UEFA Champions league.

Southampton may not lift the FA Cup trophy because we still have Manchester City and Chelsea in that tournament which means it will be difficult for them to win, i think Manchester City will win the FA Cup as they won the Caraboa cup too.

I enjoyed Arsenal’s demise yesterday after watching my own team get spanked. It’s unlikely but there is a real possibility that Arsenal end the season without winning a trophy. They lead Man City in the PL by 9 points, they have played 1 game more than City and they still have to play City at The Etihad. It could get interesting if Man City win their game in hand and beat Arsenal at The Etihad. The banter would be unbelievable if Arteta bottles it again.

At this point in time, we all need to pray for Liverpool because from how they are going about business they might not survive any Europe Competition come next season, like what happened to the Reds yesterday? Arteta is having some problems in the rotation of players. This always brings problems for them near the end of the season because most players are facing injuries, and things are not like they were at the start of the season. Current reports clearly say 9 to 10 of their best players are out of play. Losing in the EFL Cup was a big blow for them, but now losing in the FA Cup brings their morale down.

This is going to be a problem for them in their Champions League encounter against Sporting, while their Premier League title is still good due to their difference of points and remaining games Southampton was not an easy opponent, but injuries kill chances. Now they have a few days to rebuild and fight back for their next target.

Watching my own team get beaten by Manchester City, and then seeing Arsenal lose to Southampton, made me wonder if Arsenal sacrificed the FA Cup to stay in and focus on the Premier League, where they’re 9 points behind with one more game played than Manchester City.

With Arsenal’s elimination from the FA Cup, they might take out their frustration on Manchester City when they face them on April 19, if the schedule doesn’t change.
The Champions League might be a tough challenge for Arsenal, but Arteta will prioritize the Premier League if they can.
