Fortunetly , i already have a nano s plus...
If that happens i will use it.
Sad to see that outcome for such a good device
Are you planning to generate a new seed with the Nano S Plus or just recover the wallet from your existing seed and continue where you left off with the old Nano S?
I will probably just recover from the existing seed. To much complicated to move all coins, from all derivation paths, all blockchains, etc...
If you are still confident enough in Ledger and don't have trust issues making the Nano S Plus your next hardware wallet of choice, why not make the switch already? It's surely faster and more efficient and doesn't suffer the memory limitations of the Nano S. I remember consolidating my inputs using the Nano S a long time ago. The signing process is the slowest in the industry for sure. The device was completely unresponsive for minutes while the transactions were being signed in the background. Nano S Plus has to do better in that regard.
I think this is pretty irrelevant.
Nano S is fast enough for me.
I don't sign 100+ input more than once of twice every 5 years or so... and I had already consolidated those inputs. I can wait for 2 or 3 minutes every 5 years, that's no problem for me. It will take much more time to recover everything in a new wallet.
I like the idea to keep the new one as a back up, if I ever need it.
I think people overreact about very simple stuff which are no big deal.
I have a hardware wallet for security. I am not in a competition for processing multiple inputs in a few miliseconds, or installing as much blockchains as possible in a single device at the same time. Those things are totally irrelevant for me...
And ledger is certainly one of the best devices ever created to hold bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, when it comes to security and convenience. I am very satisfied in general. It is unfortunately that they are dropping support and updates.
