Let me assume that I’m a newbie, and I have the resources to build an emergency funds and still be buying bitcoin at the same time, personally I will focus on buying more bitcoin as a beginner instead of focusing on building a emergency funds immediately, building an emergency funds before getting started or when you just started investing in bitcoin is totally not mandatory. However you feel comfortable with doing them at the same time is good for people who feel comfortable doing that. I don’t think there is any reason why I should be in a haste to start having an emergency funds when I’m just getting started with bitcoin, while I can build up my emergency funds along the line when I have gotten to a certain period of time frame which I can start building my emergency funds, people who are low income earners can still buy and accumulate bitcoin small small and still be building up their emergency funds little by little.
It has already been mentioned that it is possible to accumulate bitcoins based on financial ability, create an emergency fund and create an auxiliary fund even those with weak financial ability can create these but for novice investors, starting to accumulation on Bitcoin should be the first priority. Now if you are a new investor but you have an emergency fund and you can afford to invest in bitcoins then should focus more on buying bitcoins at the initial stage but building an emergency fund should not be neglected as it is not only a protection charm for investment but also a way to give peace of mind to every investor in unexpected moments. This is the main point that one should not rush with an emergency fund when just starting out with Bitcoin as people of any profession can and should do it however it seems to me that funding strategies may differ depending on the type of occupation and the stability and amount of income therefore, starting to invest in Bitcoin should be the main priority, regardless of everything else and it's correct investors should focus on this, primarily with long-term goals in mind.

Questions for the member who coined "HODL" - GameKyuubiLook, I have shared a strange post link, you will find out how important Bitcoin investment is if you go to this post link. How easy it was to invest in Bitcoin in the past, but now it has become very difficult in the present time, only from the financial point of view, those who invested in Bitcoin in the past are now very successful and have created a wealth of money. But now you can buy just 1 Bitcoin by investing in Bitcoin with a wealth of money, then it was about 10 to 15 years ago, but from now on, imagine how much the price of Bitcoin can be worth 10 to 15 years in the future. Remembering this thought, you can participate in Bitcoin investment and take the opportunity to buy Bitcoin and you can follow the strategy to survive for a long time. By investing in Bitcoin, you can make yourself financially successful in the future. It may cost more to buy the same amount of Bitcoin than it did before, but making the price of Bitcoin the benchmark for starting an investment creates unnecessary barriers for beginners. No one is being told to buy a whole Bitcoin, but rather to start with a small portion according to their own ability. Knowing how much a whole Bitcoin costs is not the first question for beginners, but whether the money they are investing comes from their discretionary income at all and whether they can hold on to it for the long term. You are saying that everyone who has invested in the past has been successful. I probably agree with you to some extent. But there are a few things you may have forgotten to consider. Some may have bought a little at the time, some may have sold earlier, and some may not have held on due to necessity. You need to look at the time you started for the people you are referring to or who you see making big savings on, as well as how much they bought and how much they were able to hold on to. Don't just assume that their current wealth is an easy decision at the time. Some people think that Bitcoin is not what it used to be, I hope you are not one of them. Bitcoin has been providing opportunities for a decade and a half and I hope it will continue to provide opportunities for many more decades to come.

Investing in Bitcoin and still be putting down your back up funds simultaneously have nothing to do with your financial capacity, but more to do with your ability to sort out your discretionary income, because if you can sort out your discretionary income, your can divide it into three places, one place for investment, one place to set up your emergency and reserve funds and other place for discretionary consumption. So you can do all that simultaneously, as long as you can figure out your discretionary income.
I disagree with you, if Investing in Bitcoin and putting down back up funds simultaneously has nothing to do with financial capacity then, if the finance is been taken off for instance, how do you go about it? You sound so funny dude, in everything we do about investment finance plays a major role because without it in the first place investment is not possible which means that we need finance in every Investment yet it doesn't mean one have to be very strong in their finance before they can invest.

I agree that a person should start his bitcoin accumulation first of all, however it is still very important that the person makes plans on how to build his emergency funds right away so that he doesn't leave his portfolio vulnerable. ASAP you've bought your first bitcoin, you can plan yourself to follow up your periodic buys with consistency as well as building your emergency fund to handle unforeseen circumstances. If you ignore its importance and just keep adding to your portfolio, an emergency might give you a rude awakening and your portfolio would be tampered to attend to it which is bad. You can always split your discretionary income into 3 parts, one part to buy bitcoin, the second part for emergency fund and the last part as discretionary consumption.

Building back up funds cannot be neglected even at the initial phase of your investment wether as a newbie investor or as an old investor. Sure, you can start your investment immediately if you have figured out your Discretionary, but it is important that as you begin to buy Bitcoin, you must also ensure to simultaneously build up your back up funds as it will help to protect your investment against sudden financial demands. I don't think it is wise to delay building up your emergency funds till anytime you feel you want to, or you are comfortable to do so. Even though you may concentrate more on buying Bitcoin as a beginner, but it is important that you build your back up funds simultaneously.

That's true, it might not be needed to start up cause the discretionary fund is what's needed for that but it's important and quite helpful for the progress on an investment, some people overlook it given that they already have their discretionary fund figure out but how would they could if an emergency situation occur? Do they expect that they'll have to withdraw from their investment or use money meant for necessities to setlle it. That's why building an emergency funds is very important. It's not something that should be debated regardless of whether the investor is poor or rich.

I feel that you want to play with fire and you will get burnt. There's nothing like overconfidence on how to manage real life emergency when you don't have any backup funds on ground to tackle the problem. If you neglect building your emergency funds simultaneously, with your bitcoin investment in the beginning of your bitcoin journey and you have the money to do that, you are only gambling because emergency comes unexpected and no one knows when It's good that a brand new investor strike a balance between his bitcoin investment and his emergency funds in the beginning of his bitcoin investment because he has more than enough time to build and grow his bitcoin investment after he has finished building his backup funds along side with his bitcoin investment. So why, will anyone that knows what he's doing neglect the live wire to his bitcoin portfolio. If you don't build for emergency funds simultaneously, in the beginning and you are busy accumulating bitcoin with that money, your bitcoin investment will be your emergency fund when you are hit with real life investment and you might even be at loss if the price of bitcoin is below your entry point at that time when unforeseen circumstances played out. Not setting up an emergency funds in the beginning isn't smartness.

Truly the back up/ emergency funds can be built along the line even after starting to buy bitcoin but it would be better to start with a little back up funds than not having any backup funds at all. Investors who started out their investment without an emergency funds don’t also need to waste more time to build their emergency funds while they are accumulating bitcoin. They must not wait until they get to a certain level of accumulating bitcoin before they start building their emergency funds because emergency can happen at any time. Sometimes I use to wonder what certain level of accumulation they want to reach before they can start building their emergency funds, they forget to understand that with just one emergency situation is capable of destroying all their years of building that very bitcoin portfolio that they neglected building the emergency funds for. Only one emergency situation is capable of bringing down an entire bitcoin portfolio which an investor might have spent months or years building simply because he neglected the emergency funds while he was building the portfolio.

Building emergency funds, back funds etc at same time is a matter of capacity because it takes a tight and a good source of income to build these at this same time, there are people who has the financial strength to do this and it is encourage for these kind of folks but as for those who don't have the financial strength or capacity to build these funds at same time, it will be wise they start accumulating their Bitcoin little by little and later start building up these other funds because it is not a must to build all at same time.
It's very true that accumulating Bitcoin and building the emergency, back up funds might not be built at the same time based on ones financial capacity, but they shouldn't be over looked cause those are important for the investment too, and can still be built gradually with the available reserve funds, if over looked cause there's not much income, an emergency situation can happen then the investor would sell at to settle it, which is not good for the investment. Same way an investor with little income can gradually accumulate in bits consistently, that's how the emergency funds should gradually be built too cause no one knows when an emergency situation would happen but should be prepared to solve it. Let me assume that I’m a newbie, and I have the resources to build an emergency funds and still be buying bitcoin at the same time, If you are a bitcoin newbie and you do not have enough money to both buy bitcoin and to simultaneously build up your back up funds, then you do not have enough money (discretionary income) to be buying bitcoin. You have to figure out how to increase your discretionary income by increasing your income and/or cutting your expenses. personally I will focus on buying more bitcoin as a beginner instead of focusing on building a emergency funds immediately,
You sound lost, and you sound likely to not even be able to get through a whole cycle without having to sell some or all of your bitcoin. Bitcoin is an investment and not a trade, so you should be making sure that you are able to hold onto any bitcoin that you buy for 4-10 years or longer when you buy them, and so if you cannot do that, then you are trading/gambling rather than investing. I don't recommend trading or gambling with bitcoin. building an emergency funds before getting started or when you just started investing in bitcoin is totally not mandatory.
Why not? How are you going to be sure that you are investing within the parameters of your discretionary funds if you do not have any back up funds? How are you going to know that you have enough money to make it until your next paycheck if you have no back up funds? You don't seem to know what you are talking about.
You seem to recognize that there is importance in building up back up funds, but for some reason you seem to think that you can delay in such action to start building back up funds.

1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

All types of planning and decisions in investing in Bitcoin depend on financial capacity. So if someone says that there is no relation between Bitcoin investment and building a backup fund simultaneously and financial capacity, I will not agree with it. But many people misunderstand this financial capacity. Financial capacity is not just about your gross salary. The real issue is how much your expenses are compared to your income. And how much discretionary income is being generated after necessary expenses. Even if a person earns $1,000 weekly, if almost all of it goes to basic expenses and debt service, his investment capacity may be very small. And backup fund is very important in investing in Bitcoin. So I will agree with you that the ability to build Bitcoin and a backup fund in parallel definitely depends on financial capacity. But to judge financial capacity, you need to look at the cashflow structure, not gross income. Many times, more important than how much you earn is how much you actually have, how realistically investable that leftover is and how financially stable you are after investing it.

When you have everything figured out, one way to do all the other investments is to make them your priority, because most of the time we need to know that the moment you start buying, you have to stay on track to be able to build up your portfolio because one of the essences of making use of DCA is for you to get a well-built portfolio, and the only way to do that is when you can make use of your discretionary income properly because even when you start making use of DCA, your commitment matters. Follow this by having your emergency funds in place so that the whole idea will become a success. Beginners need even more encouragement and commitment so that when you start and the prices do not go up, you will not be discouraged, and that is why, aside from the resources, you also need to be ready emotionally.

When your income is small, your priority should be to take care of your basic needs first and it is only when you have a discretionary income that you can invest, DCA doesn't must not have to be a reasonable amount of money, remember that you are not buying a whole bitcoin and your are not just buying at once rather you are buying in fraction with as small as you have available since it can be increase too if your financial situation get better, when you invest little by little with DCA over time it will become significant when put together. This is how the DCA works and while you don't need to have a reasonable amount of money first.
I hear and see how people dearly want to rush into investing and when it has to do with Bitcoin you see them jumping on the DCA strategy, one thing they fail to understand is that some of them actually do not need another investment plan, they just need a good job first maybe, because if you have all the best investment plan and you don't have a source of income that takes care of your basic expenditures and will be enough to fund the investment, then your plan is as good as no plan because even with the DCA it will not be long when your essential needs will cause you to end the investment even before it begins to be profitable. Get a decent job that that puts you in a position to take care of your basic needs at least and then you can go ahead to pick up an investment plan, you cannot be on the street when you haven't paid your rent or you are hungry and tell me you will be able to make good investment plans, you will hit rock bottom sooner than you can imagine. if you have your basic needs taken care of, then you can invest in a way that you can be sure to be reasonable enough for you to have some expectations of such an investment in the near future. Investment isn't a do or die affair, it is very important you have your basic needs sorted before venturing into investment so you don't put others in harms way in your bid to invest, this is the fact a lot of persons will shy away form but will rather fall back to motivation that you have to invest to secure your tomorrow and be rich, meanwhile they are forgetting that tomorrow isn't guaranteed and it is only a healthy and sound mind who can secure tomorrow and not just some portfolio somewhere.

I think your plan is wrong because when you are accumulating Bitcoin without creating an emergency fund, what will you do if you need money for an emergency? Of course, then you will have to break your Bitcoin portfolio. It may be that the value of Bitcoin is less than the amount you used to invest in Bitcoin at that time and if you sell your Bitcoins, you will be at a loss. Rather, if someone saves at least three months of initial needs in an emergency fund and starts investing in Bitcoin later, it can guarantee a more sustainable Bitcoin fund. However, as you said, many people do not have the ability to invest in addition to an emergency fund. So for you, I am telling you that you do not need a lot of money to invest in Bitcoin. If someone has $50 of discretionary income, he can invest even $10 from that in Bitcoin. If the investor does not have that ability, then he should first create an emergency fund because none of us know when the emergency moment will come.

JayJuanGee have already attended to your statement and he gave the best response, better than what i would've replied but know that emergency situations can occur any time and you have to be very prepared for it so it’s a no brainer, which is why you either trim your expenses or work on increasing your discretionary funds so you can simultaneously build emergency funds and comfortably invest. Bitcoin investment without an emergency fund is like gambling with your investment cause how would you settle such problems if suddenly happen whereas you planned building it in the future, you see why you're supposed to be financially ready for such situations? So you don't end up selling at lose to sort it out.

You mean you don't know why you should build your emergency fund with your bitcoin investment once you get started. There is every reason why you should be doing so because real life Emergency can happen unexpectedly. What if as you are building up your bitcoin investment and you are hit by a real life emergency, what will you do not to sell your bitcoin investments? Don't you know that without an emergency fund you will likely sell your bitcoin investments. Since you don't know what may happen next after this moment, waiting to reach a certain stage of your accumulation before you build your emergency fund put your bitcoin investments at risk because you will likely sell when face with a real emergency fund. This is why waiting to build up your Bitcoin investments before you start building your emergency fund is not a wise idea because you likely sell when face with a real life emergency.

When it comes to the question you asked, what would you do when you don't have emergency funds and there is an emergency, the most common thing that will happen is that they will end up selling what they have worked hard to buy. That is why it is mandatory for you to have emergency funds, because when you have you will not have to want to sell your bitcoin. After all, you have what you can fall back to and that is why they will tell you investing comes with a lot of work, because you have to make sure that the numbers are right. You might not need a lot of cash for you to want to invest in Bitcoin, but the question now is that you still need money because you have to still make sure that, even with the emergency funds you have to make sure what is going in for investment is also a meaningful amount.

If a person does not have any money left to invest after forming an emergency fund, then he does not need to invest from any other fund. In that case, he will not be able to keep his investment fund. But if someone wants to invest, he can increase the amount of effort to increase his income so that after meeting the basic needs, he can save money for the emergency fund and allocate some money for investing in Bitcoin. In short, there is no such thing as investing in Bitcoin with any fund. The real thing is that Bitcoin should be invested using such money that even if the money is unused for a long time, the investor will not have any problem, that is, a reasonable income should be used for investment.

It is important to continue investing while building an emergency fund. It is never effective to stop investing and focus on the emergency fund, because the emergency fund is your protection from those dangers where your financial needs arise. But such sudden dangers come in the lives of many people at a time when they have the ability to meet them themselves. However, such dangers may not happen in the lives of many people. Therefore, it is never reasonable to stop investing, because it will result in you missing out on important opportunities at hand. Since the price of Bitcoin is volatile, it can increase more than we expect. Therefore, moving forward gradually through the DCA strategy is effective, because it will always keep you free from the challenge of when to enter the market or when to exit the market. If you have a source of income and you can earn from it and meet the needs of your family with that income, then you can start with your extra money, but this may not be the case for everyone. Many people want to keep their remaining money for investment, but in the end they cannot. However, they can achieve their goal of financial well-being by creating multiple sources of income rather than relying on one source. Through hard work, it is possible to increase it more than before, which can increase their income level and with the help of this, they can also create an emergency fund for investment. It is important that the investment plan is long-term and financial clarity is equally important, for the emergency fund, it is effective not for stopping investments or making excuses but for moving forward with consistency.

If a person does not have the financial capacity to build an emergency fund and an investment fund together, then I consider his financial capacity questionable. That is, he does not have enough discretionary money to invest, in which case it is better for him not to invest. If such a financial crisis arises in the middle of the investment journey, then he should stop investing for a while and wait for better times. Emergency moments can come in a person's life and they can happen at any time. In this case, his entire focus should be on building resistance against the critical moments. When the situation normalizes and financial capacity returns, then the continuation of investment can be started again. If such a situation arises before starting investment, then it is better not to start investing and one should try to build financial capacity.
