Sometimes it's not just about poor orientation or any of them being misled, but it may be that the newbie investor is doing what I call ITK, which is "I too know" when they knows nothing. Such types of people believe that common sense can help them figure out everything the right way all the time, without knowing that they are just trying to fuck themselves up by applying common sense on everything.

An inform investor knows that Bitcoin accumulation and putting down your backup funds in place is done simultaneously, not by pay more attention to one and neglecting the other.
So are you saying that common sense does not work, even though I agree with you point that both Bitcoin stacking and building a back up funds done at a go, I still think that common sense can apply here as long as it works, I was not expecting anyone to criticize common sense when it comes to anything especially in Bitcoin investment, I'm very sure that you understand why almost everyone here kick against creating an emergency funds before starting Bitcoin investment journey proper, it is not that it is bad, but the reason is that, the energy that will be channeled in having your emergency funds first can as well be channelled to doing the two concurrently which is using one stone to kill two birds, instead of preparing to safeguard what you don't have.
Common sense tells what is right to do and what isn't right to do but to invest in bitcoin what is needed is your discretionary funds and common sense and nothing more than this. Instead creating an emergency funds will hold us not to start investing asap we can start if our discretionary funds is ready and later create an emergency funds along with buying bitcoin, but in a situation where an investor already have their emergency funds at first it's also a win win for such an investor because at end of it all an investor still need an emergency funds to keep their bitcoin investment safe and it will also strengthen them to hold their bitcoin for a long time, while we shouldn't be waiting to start if our discretionary funds is ready but no emergency funds yet.

So to avoid complications it is wise to split our discretionary income into 4 parts, emergency funds, reserve funds, and discretionary spending while the leftover can be use to make our normal routine buying of bitcoin.
Your discretionary income should be split into three equal size which is the first 1/3 for your regular DCA overtime, the second 1/3 to build your emergency funds and the last 1/3 for your discretionary consumption. You don't need to split it into four parts because you will only give very little portion to your bitcoin investment and give the highest portion to your backup funds and from how you did the splitting, you put your bitcoin investment portion last which is wrong.

You don't remove money for emergency funds, reserve funds and discretionary consumption first before you put the leftover into bitcoin. What if there is no leftover or it's not up to $5. Secondly, it's not good to hold too much of cash that depreciate in value overtime which is why as a brand new investor, there is need to strike a balance between your bitcoin investment and your emergency funds in the beginning.

What's Bitcoin investment without common sense and discretionary funds, even though an investor has common sense it's not enough without discretionary funds. Although common sense should let an investor understand that the important thing to get started is figuring out his/her discretionary funds so the person can get started.

It's still common sense that would let an investor understand that the emergency/backup funds are still very important for the investment on the long run and that an investor can built them together with the investment. Common sense would also help an investor take corrections when a mistake is made or avoid possible mistakes.
When investing in Bitcoin, if any of these two things are missing it will be very difficult for anyone who does it. They won't be able to protect themselves with common sense alone, but without the support of an emergency fund.

Common sense can only help us understand obstacles or mistakes so we can re-do them and avoid repeating them in the future. Meanwhile, an emergency fund is a fund that provides us with a backup when circumstances are unfavorable. However, this fund's purpose is only to solve problems when we can no longer invest in Bitcoin due to losses due to falling market prices. Having an emergency fund provides an option for us to remain viable in Bitcoin investment.

It's still fortunate that they have the common sense to think like that, and if they don't it means they aren't investors who understand the situation.
I think they are the ones who think in this direction because they are already certain to invest with a long-term method, so they already understand the needs of their investments. The long-term timeframe certainly requires them to be more careful in their decisions, aiming to avoid mistakes that could lead to failure in long-term investments.

I believe the point of discussion here is not whether common sense works. It is whether people have a good enough grasp of their finances to make decisions. It can be a good idea to start buying Bitcoins while saving up for an emergency fund. But it may not be advisable for those who are living from paycheck to paycheck. An emergency fund does not automatically prevent you from investing. And is intended to safeguard you against being forced to sell your Bitcoin at an unfavorable price in case of unforeseen expenses. This depends on each individual. There is no universal rule.

Procrastinating is the reason some people haven't yet invested in bitcoin, they Keep on postponing  investing in bitcoin when they can get started with just their discretionary income. Because you don't have an emergency fund doesn't mean you cannot invest in bitcoin as both your emergency fund and investment can be build up the same time. People should stop using lack of emergency fund as an excuse to delay their investment. Such an excuse is baseless since they can build both their emergency fund and bitcoin investment simultaneously by splitting their discretionary income in half. One half can be used for investing while the other half can be use for building their emergency fund.

Who told you that as someone that is living on paycheck to paycheck you cannot invest in Bitcoin and build your emergency funds alongside it if you are willing to do it?

Or don't you know that the most important thing all Bitcoin investor needs is a source of discretionary income? because once you can sort out your discretionary income from your source, splitting it into three is the best way forward, because you will invest with one part, put down your emergency and reserve funds with one part, and uses one part for discretionary consumption, that way you can invest consistently and your investment will be safe, as long as you have a source of discretionary income which i believe that earning from pay check to pay check is part of it.

I think it is most important to know about discretionary income to start investing and if you know discretionary income, you can start investing without thinking about anything else. Emergency fund is important for investment but if the prerequisite of investment is such that along with starting investment, the investor has to prepare emergency fund then these things will make the investor face more problems in starting investment due to which the investor will not start investing again. When the investor starts investing with his discretionary income, he himself will understand the need for emergency fund and after understanding the need for emergency fund, he can then decide to form such fund on his behalf. Basically, investment should always be thought of in a simple way, and investment should be continued with simple amount.

Try not to confuse us with your choice of words, because an investor should not be knowing about discretionary income before he can invest in Bitcoin, but rather he should be figuring them out, before he can invest.

You don't have to start you Bitcoin investment and after a while you start thinking in putting down emergency funds in place, that may risk your investment because if emergency comes up when you have not put down your emergency funds in place, you may sell prematurely, so it's more better to accumulate and put down your emergency funds simultaneously, so that your investment will be protected from the start.

You say that it may be good to start buying Bitcoin along with building an emergency fund, but for those who somehow manage their monthly expenses with their monthly income it is not advisable. I think this difference actually needs to be explained more clearly. Because starting to buy Bitcoin along with building an emergency fund is reasonable only when there is a real surplus money after meeting the necessary expenses. And for those who are living paycheck to paycheck, the first thing to do should be to create a balance between income and expenses and build up the ability to save even a little. However it is also important to remember that there is no mandatory rule that you have to stop investing until the emergency fund is completely built because it takes a long time to build an emergency fund. If you have the ability it can be a wise step to do both little by little that is investing and building an emergency fund together. But if you do not have the ability there is no point in compromising on the necessary expenses or emergency savings to buy Bitcoin. Bitcoin accumulation is not a competition that you have to start as soon as possible. It is much wiser to take some time to create the right investment conditions than to start investing beyond your financial capabilities.

Why are making it look like a difficult thing to do, everything is planning, decision and implementation, there's nothing difficult in terms of Bitcoin investment, rather what matter is determination, if someone has the zeal to invest in Bitcoin, as long as there's an income flow from somewhere bro, discretionary will be figured out from that means for Bitcoin investment, some people make excuses for themselves, if I should ask, are there no low income earners that are Bitcoin investors, I'm not saying that people should ignore their basic needs to invest in Bitcoin, but I know that Bitcoin investment is done with an amount one can afford, so I think anyone can invest cause as low as $1 can go and as time goes by one discretionary can increase, I think starting first is the main thing.

To start Bitcoin accumulation you will need discretionary income. Discretionary income is the amount of money that you have extra fund from what you earn and spend on your family. This fund is easy to identify for any investor. Now you may be wondering how much of your discretionary income you should accumulate in Bitcoin. Divide this fund into 3 equal parts and divide it into Bitcoin one part for an emergency fund and another part to keep as floating cash.

Managing each of these funds is very important for long term Bitcoin accumulation. As your financial capacity increases, increasing the allocation from your discretionary income to Bitcoin will increase the size of your Bitcoin stack. The purpose of long term Bitcoin accumulation is to increase your Bitcoin holdings and use the emergency fund and floating cash respectively for emergency needs and additional family expenses or to increase your financial capacity. The purpose is to continue accumulation Bitcoin continuously for the long term.

You need to try and understand what it means for someone to be living from paycheck to paycheck before attempting to attack a statement like that. If someone is living from paycheck to paychecks it simply means that the person is struggling to sort out his basic needs there by leaving him with little or no money left for investment purposes. When an individual’s income isn’t enough, or he spends all his income on his basic or essential living expenses, it will be difficult for such person to have any left over cash for investment purposes.

There are those whose basic expenses alone is bigger than the income they are probably earning and the only advice for such people is to try and cut down on their lifestyle and live according to their income level if truly they want to invest In bitcoin, or better they look for a way to improve their finances. I’m not saying that they shouldn’t attend to their basic needs, but all I’m saying is that they should try and live according to their level of income or finance, for example, many persons are living in a rented apartment where they’re paying an exorbitant amount simply because they want to live in a certain region of the country meanwhile there are other houses or apartments that can cost lower and affordable for them to live just according to their level of income and will also give them a left over cash after sorting out their rents and other basic needs so they can invest In bitcoin.

Living from paycheck to paycheck doesn't automatically mean that someone like that is struggling to sort out his basic needs, what should be considered is the level of the income and that of what his expenses are going to be, this only should justify his capability of investing in Bitcoin or not when there is a discretionary income or when there is no discretionary income respectively. The most important thing is having a discretionary income and not whether a person is living from paycheck to paycheck.

I know that Bitcoin investment is done with an amount one can afford, so I think anyone can invest cause as low as $1 can go and as time goes by one discretionary can increase, I think starting first is the main thing.
I think, this isn't realistic because how can one invest with $1, when will your bitcoin portfolio reach $100. It's better for anyone who has $1 as his discretionary income to pile it up to $10 before buying bitcoin so that he doesn't end up buying dust and I don't think that anyone will sell you bitcoin worth of $1.

If he piles it up to reasonable amount and buy bitcoin, he can continue like that and be looking for a second means of income which will act as his new discretionary income to enable him but bitcoin with DCA consistent and persistent overtime till he reaches his bitcoin target. Because if he doesn't look for a means to increase his income, a time will come that he wouldn't even have that $1 again as his discretionary income due to inflation that eats up the purchasing power of Fiat overtime.

Living from paycheck to paycheck would imply that the person is unable to generate discretionary income and if there is anything that emphasized here is that anyone who isn't generating discretionary income should not be investing in bitcoin because bitcoin investment should be done with our discretionary income.
Our emergency fund comes from our discretionary income too so if you aren't generating enough for investing in bitcoin and setting up your emergency fund then your priority should go to your investment, this doesn't diminish the importance of having an emergency fund but if you are setting up an emergency fund because of you bitcoin then you investment should come first but if you already have your emergency fund before you decide to start accumulating bitcoin then the better.

It's not right when your Bitcoin investment receives least priority compared to your backup funds. Your Bitcoin investment should have a higher or equal priority with emergency funds. It makes no much sense when you neglect your Bitcoin investment to stack up cash as backup funds which loses value on the long-run. The backup funds is meant to protect your Bitcoin portfolio and having a huge backup funds protecting a miserable portfolio doesn't seem ideal.

Investing in Bitcoin should never be done at the expense of daily needs or financial security. If your income ends up meeting your essential expenses, it is difficult to invest in Bitcoin. The first condition for investment is to have your own financial capacity. There is no reason why someone should reduce their essential expenses or invest in debt just because they want to. Although creating an emergency fund and investing in Bitcoin both depend on surplus income, their purposes are different. Emergency funds should not be kept in Bitcoin. Because if you need money in an emergency situation, it is important to be able to use that money easily, regardless of the market conditions. The value of Bitcoin can drop significantly in a short time.  Keeping  emergency fund  in bitcoin can result in a much lower value than expected when needed. If someone already has sufficient emergency funds, they can invest a large portion of their surplus income in Bitcoin. For those who do not have an emergency fund, it is important to build an emergency fund in addition to buying Bitcoin. Therefore, there is no obligation to stop investing in Bitcoin until the emergency fund is fully built. Investing and building an emergency fund should not be seen as competing interests. One should divide one's surplus income in a way that builds wealth while maintaining financial security to handle unexpected situations.

I have said in my previous discussion that even those who do not invest in Bitcoin should already have an emergency fund because even if they do not invest, they may need to deal with emergency situations. And if someone already has an emergency fund, it is more beneficial for him to collect Bitcoin investment from the discretionary income. In that case, he can increase the amount of money in his DCA to purchase Bitcoin. Again, many people plan to purchase Bitcoin in DIP along with managing DCA. In that case, if someone already has enough money in the emergency fund to deal with emergency situations, he can create another separate fund along with managing DCA with which they will have the opportunity to purchase Bitcoin in DIP.
And those who have not yet created an emergency fund should also prepare an emergency fund along with managing DCA. Emergency fund basically protects the Bitcoin fund. That is, we can call the emergency fund "the protective charm of Bitcoin".

This decision will not be right in all situations. Because the most important thing here is the actual financial capacity of the person. You may have some discretionary income every month after meeting the necessary expenses. You may even have a regular income and have a plan to handle any sudden expenses. If you want, you can buy a small amount of Bitcoin and create an emergency fund. But for someone whose income is irregular, has this problem in meeting the necessary expenses and is not sure whether he will get a job next month. Why should the same priority apply to him? Because if he allocates money to buy Bitcoin in such a situation, he will probably feel the pressure to sell that Bitcoin again to meet the necessary expenses within a few days. I personally think that no one knows how much importance I should give to investments and emergency funds except me and it should be determined according to my current situation. Similarly, it can be said that starting to collect Bitcoin is important, but maintaining the ability to continue it is even more important.

You’ve already said it in your first statement that whoever that is unable to generate discretionary income should not invest in bitcoin and that’s just the point. Your discretionary income must not be enough to Carter for bitcoin accumulation and emergency funds before starting investment , what matters most is that you can start by accumulating bitcoin and HODL and as time goes on you can be  figuring out ways of improving your finances so that you can get enough of the discretionary income to cover for bitcoin accumulation and emergency funds savings. Investing in bitcoin shouldn’t be delayed or not started as a result of non availability of Emergency funds, if the discretionary income is there then use it and accumulate bitcoin first.
