Wikipedia truly messed up here as you mentioned, but majority of the world either had no idea about BTC or thought it was a scam back then which is why their viewpoint doesn't necessarily surprise me at all.

Very few believed in BTC and cryptocurrencies back then and those numbers rose over time as the market cap kept growing and this pattern will never change in my opinion.

There's no turning back and time couldnt really be going back and past is past and regrets would really be there which every people who would really be having the same thoughts
in mind on which if they had known earlier then they would do the same thing but since we dont know on what would happen in the future then these kind of impressions
wouldnt really be surprising even us ordinary people would really be having those common thoughts.

Normal thoughts for people to regret on the decision they made from the past since they actually counting the figures of profit they can possibly get if they didn't have any doubt on bitcoin, Although there's no turning back on all those things still we had something to hold on that there are more great things to happen so for sure those people who doubt about it will think about adopting while the market is still have potential to grow.

You would really be counting those imaginable numbers that you might able to profit out if you have just able to invest earlier but as said past is past and nothing could be done but doesnt mean that it is already too late for us to invest even though we cant get 2-3x easily with bitcoin investment but we know that there are altcoins out there which we could utilize those even though the assurance wouldnt really be that high because it would be always basing up with the potential of a certain project.

Wikipedia is a platform that was created for learning, so it was up to them, the team, to do a proper research and know what Bitcoin is all about, and then it is also their responsibility to write a content that would clearly explain what Bitcoin is all about to the people who come to their website to seek for answers.

But, instead they chose to misunderstand it, and wrote it off as a scam because of what majority of the people were saying back then. And even then there were still people who were making use of Bitcoin and they invested in it, I think those people should have been enough reason for them to question whether they made the right choice or not.

Lesson - if Wikipedia hadn't written off bitcoin as a scam and went ahead to accept it as a form of donation since 2010, alot of people would have donated hundreds of thousands of bitcoins to them back then since bitcoin was almost worth less then, by now, they would have all retired as millionaires and billionaires. And today, they've added bitcoin back as a form of donation, but I will rather donate usd to them than donate my precious bitcoins(my digital gold).

This really made a lot of sense, because if they supported Bitcoin back then I believe that so many people who are Bitcoinists would have donated so many to them as a way to also show support and reward them for the support that they are showing to the Bitcoin community. But, since they have decided not to do that and ended up calling it a scam, then they got what they deserved.

I know that by now they would be wishing that they accepted Bitcoin then, because the amount they would have gotten from then till now could have been worth millions of dollars like you said.

People tend to embrace success so you wouldn't really see Wikipedia as an exemption. This is a big lesson passed on. Many projects similar to Bitcoin failed in their early stages and many didn't really believe Bitcoin will get this massive adoption. That's normal for something new, we are scared of it because we don't know how it works and how to operate it so it's understandable what Wikipedia did at that time, they believe that there's risk involved in bitcoin so they refrain from advertising it or having a dedicated page so as to prevent people getting scammed which is at that time was prevalent with bitcoin as a medium. Also, there's nothing wrong with Wikipedia asking for donations, they're the modern day Library of Alexandria and a few donations is what's been keeping it afloat all this time.

Nokia and blackberry had their own OS and was actually competing with android, but they just can't beat android's technological innovations.
The number of people who believe in Bitcoin today is not half the total population globally yet, so we can't also say that many people have been into Bitcoin now. However, Bitcoin's adoption is gradually increasing as well as it's value.

Human being use to find it difficult to welcome anything they don't understand. Especially technology, every technology use to suffer many setback and difficulty in the beginning stage. I have a similar story like the bitcoin and Wikipedia.

This I believe time has changed with it and maybe the church pastor has also discovered that television guide or restrictions for channels to watch and parental control is in there. They may have seen that even remote controls have give access to control of what kids watch because they fear children can go to stations not good for their age. If they use television now it is for the religious program maybe but change comes in different parts of our lives.

It's true that in this world there are more people who don't trust Bitcoin than people who believe in Bitcoin. Although the majority of people do not believe in Bitcoin, the development of Bitcoin has been very significant. I can't imagine what if the majority of people have started trusting Bitcoin and investing in Bitcoin. It will certainly make the price of Bitcoin very expensive and also most countries should legalize Bitcoin as a legal tender.

I can imagine. It would mean that bitcoin would be 1+ million dollars each, there would be a lot more places that accept bitcoin. There would be payment processors, like bitpay type of places but global scale with a ton more work and a lot easier.

There would be apps that you use, from your mobile phone, where you pay for something by reading QR code that the business shows you. Which I do not think that would be any different than using a card and a POS machine, so that would be possible. We also need to make sure that blockchain tech is a lot better, because we are paying too much for transactions right now and it should be a lot easier to accept these payments without charging too much.

Yes, many people don't know how it work when it was newly created by Satoshi until they begin to do more research to know more about decentralized currency and how someone can use it to change his business positively in the community. Those countries that rejected bitcoin from their country some years ago came to discovered how other countries are using it to change their economy and to reduced inflation in their country. More than 10 years bitcoin still eliminating errors and reducing unemployment in the world.
