I believe if Sadio Mane was present in this match the result of the match would have been in favor of Senegal. The main player of the Senegal team is Sadio Mane. And Senegal's overall gameplay would have been better if Mane was in the team. However, the Netherlands won this match. But it cannot be said that the Senegal player's performance was poor. They played well enough. And attacked a lot. But they could not score due to lack of experienced finishers. Also, if Sadio Mane was in the squad, the Netherlands players would have been busy trying to stop Mane. They didn't get much chance to attack. Mane is of course a key player for Senegal. They felt his absence very much against Netherlands. Senegal still found many goal chances but they were just the victim of their clumsiness eventually. Netherlands had a really big problem on getting ahead most of the time. But after breaking the deadlock they finished the job my making it 2-0 in the stoppage time.

Netherlands made me doubt their performance in the World Cup later on after seeing this but maybe it is still early to think like that. They shouldn't have any problem against Qatar but I really wonder what they will do against Ecuador. Maybe this might be another tough game.

England had a very impressive performance against Iran just as most people expected. They demolished their opponent by 6-2. I think that the penalty given to Iran was the right call. When I first saw it I also thought like how it could have been a penalty. But I saw later on that Stones pulled him from his shirt. This goal didn't change much for Iran actually. To tell the truth, I don't expect them to reach next round. Because USA and Wales also are strong enough to defeat them.

Maguire was surprising in this match. He was a nice help in the attacks of the team and he even had an assist to Saka by a header. He was nearly scoring a header as well if the ball didn't hit the goal post. I hope he continues to perform like this.

Matches with both teams defending are usually pretty boring to watch, but that's a tactic too. Not very attractive tactic but sometimes it works and sometimes it backfires. This time (at least in the first half) it payed off for the USA. We will see how it goes in the second half. This time I'm not cheering for anyone. I was very disappointed that, I almost switched off my TV. All the efforts to keep things together was just wasted in the last minute. They could have easily gotten away with his match and for the first goal, I think E. Mends should have got his hands on the ball. What with him coming with a punch all the time anyway. He was at advantage for that ball, hight and he was coming with his hands against a player that has got just his head to work with and they met at the spot. Unfortunately, Senegal didn't end at one but conceived a second goal in the last minute, so hilarious!

Wales at the moment aren't playing enough to be in the game against USA. Its been an all USA dominance and they've been really aggressive all game. They aren't scared of coming after the ball and have had some really good attempts. A least they've got a goal to show for it in the first half with a wonderful finish from Weah.

The US have dominated the first half in and out. Starting out, I thought Bale was going to be influential in the game but I am disappointed. Timothy Weah was absolutely phenomenal in the first half. I for see a red card in the second half. I wonder what is happening to Wales team they are breaking so many hearts.

Don't worry, Senegal is much better than Ecuador and Qatar in appearance. If Senegal can really win their next 2 matches against Qatar and Ecuador, then I think those 6 points will take them to the next round. In Group A, Senegal and the Netherlands have a big chance of getting tickets to the next round, but I want to see how Senegal reacts in their second match later.

FIFA-2022 Netherlands vs Senegal. In this match, the Netherlands won three points by defeating Senegal 2-0.
Although neither side could do much in the first half, Senegal proved to be a formidable threat. The Netherlands woke up in the 84th minute, with Cody Gakpo breaking their deadlock. Frenkie ran in behind the defense after a great ball from De Jong. He took the ball past Edouard Mendy and headed straight into the top corner. The match looked to end in favor of the Netherlands, with Davy Klaasen scoring a goal in the final minute of added time to seal victory. Memphis Depay was instrumental in the second goal. Who threw it into the empty net! It was a great match. The next matches may be difficult for Senegal.
