36 years have passed since the 1986 Mexico World Cup. Argentina have gone to the World Cup with the aim of winning the title every time but have not succeeded. Even Lionel Messi played in four World Cups but did not win. The World Cup turned out to be a curse for Argentina. Hard work, perseverance and effort go in vain. It is unfair for Argentina if they did not win a final match in which they dominated it in almost first 80 minutes before two quick goals for France. The result for 120 minutes is equal, 3 - 3 but Argentina played better generally and they had two chances to win the match within 90 minutes and 120 minutes.

France managed to prolong the match to 120 minutes and penalty but after, they could not beat Argentina. The winning is fair for Argentina and Messi and even Mbappe had a hattrick, I don't consider his performance in the final is better than Messi performance.

Yes, Argentina deserved it and they won fair and square. But I think everyone should admire the success and effort of France too, even though I particularly doesn't like them too much. I mean I feel just neuter about them. Although they started to play big only after the 80th minute, they made the game very excited, Mbappe was great also(even though I personally don't like him so much too.). Messi is just Messi. I don't feel different just because he won World Cup, he was just one of the greatest athletes ever for any sport. I think he and Cristiano Ronalda is at the top with the greats like Michael Jordan, Muhammed Ali etc. What surprised me is the Argentina team. With the help of Di Maria's performance, they exceeded my expectations. I didn't expect them to score and almost dominate like that. They were not incredibly good but they managed to score 2 great goal against France in the final like that. That is impressive. I did not see that happening before the game. Amazing achievement for Argentina and what a world cup it was.

Messi has indicated that he would like to continue with the national team. There is not much left for him to gain after the world championship victory, but he will still feel that he cannot let his country down now.

I thought Messi will retire after winning the world cup, but he wants to continue playing with the national team, it is good for him and the Argentine national team, but no Argentine person would have felt let down if he retired, he has done it all, and if he wants a rest, it is because he deserves one.

Big disappointment especially for Germany, which I actually had seen as a title candidate.

Germany were not ready, next time they will leave politics and focus on the football game, they must have learnt from this and i feel they will do better in the upcoming euro tournament.

I personally did not really expect that Argentina would win yesterday to be honest because for me, the French team just has a stroner squad and has better players than Argentina at almost every position. Yesterday made obvious again though that class and quality alone does not mean a lot. You also need passion and commitment. In the first half the French team showed a really really bad and also weird performance. They seemed like they were not motivated which should not be the case in a world cup final obviously. In the end Argentina definitely deserved to win.

I was expecting any of the team to win the match,  and the games was like something any of the team could win. It was tough to each other, if France had won I won't be surprise and am not also surprised by Argentina winning the game.

Argentina has certainly not played the most beautiful football. There is indeed a big blemish on the victory. Especially in the match against the Netherlands, the referee whistled heavily in favor of Argentina. Messi made a very clear handball and didn't even get a yellow card. I wonder what would have happened if every other player on the field had committed this action. I'm not saying it was fixed either, but the referee seemed very keen for Argentina to go through. I saw on the news that the Argentinian players will be greeted with great fanfare by the citizens and also the President of Argentina because yesterday was a very historic day for them after a long wait with the World Cup trophy

Not just the Final.  I thought the entire tournament had a level of hype I'm not sure I've ever seen from soccer in the US before.  I had friends talking about it that I had no idea even knew the World Cup existed.  People with no knowledge of soccer at all (not far from me) weighing in on their opinion of who the GOAT is based on this one game...  I'm not sure how I feel about it, but as long as soccer games don't start taking over my basketball games on the TV, I'm good with it.  I really enjoyed the World Cup this year and am curious if next year will grow on this showing.

I think at my age this is the best finals I have witnessed, to be honest, watching the first half of the game it was as if the France team already made up their minds to let Argentina take the trophy home but that come back from France changed everything about the game and that made the finals a spectacular one. It was obvious that Argentina was in control of the game and at some point, most people were nervous because their expectations became shattered due to the poor performance of France but in the end, the game turned out to be the real final.


About the future of Argentina after this year's game, I think they may not take many years to achieve another title because as most of the aged players will be retiring from football some of the younger players who have not been noticed will be given the opportunity to joining the national team and their performance will determine the time they will need to win another title.

There is no doubt about Kylian Mbappé ability and quality which he has done in this match but at the end Argentina won this match on penalties which is surely another chapter but performing while you are watched by more than a billion peoples around the world and having nearly 90,000 fans on ground is surely never been easy for any player French players done good job in regular time and in extra time but sadly on penalties they were unable to handle pressure and lost heir momentum which helps their opponents to win title after 36 years.

Argentinian win was surely throughout team spirit and their coach is also doing amazing stuff for the last few years as they won Copa América and now world cup which is surely the greatest stuff but Mbappé impact is now also going to have more in future as he is also one of the greatest in this game.
