I also low-key wanted DiMaria to stay in the field. I thought he was playing really well and also doing really well controlling the ball. He was dictating the flow of the game. Messy is not being able to do that as much as people want him to. Honestly, he is also quite old right now so it is obviously hard for him to play like a young player like Mbappé. 

Di Maria substitution was something that I didn't understand. Plus Acuna in place of Di Maria was a bit odd. Not sure what the tactic was there but it kinda dropped the productivity rate from the left hand side.

Amazing comeback, I thought it was all over at 2 nil surely that was it but Argentina slipped and France has taken full advantage of their defense lapse.   The Qatar commentary is calling it the best world cup final ever and I cant remember a match ever moving from one extreme to other like this before, still penalties is less then ideal imo for a decision.  Does this mean all the people who bet draw are the big winners on this bet ?

This final was the most exciting match I have watched in recent years. In fact, this match was one of the most exciting finals in the history of the World Cup, in my opinion.

We watched two different periods in the match. Argentina definitely dominated the first half of the match. France did not find a single goal opportunity in the first half. In the second half of the match, the match was in the middle for both teams. But Mbappe made the difference in the second half and gave France the kiss of life. I was predicting a draw before the match. But after watching the first half, I did not expect the match to come here. Frankly, I was very surprised. But I am very happy that Messi won the World Cup.
