Take for example during the close of medieval period, the landed nobility technically have all the power, with their many privilege and rights as elites but they didn't have the money they needed to participate in the emerging new order. This led to the arrangements where they'd stoop to marry the daughters of merchants for the sizable dowry (the merchant family gains the prestige of marrying into nobles).

You can just imagine how much more important money is now in today's capitalist and globalist order. Simply put, you can have various forms of power but if you can't convert some of those into money, you'd have a hard time holding on to the power that you have. I think I'd probably argue that in that tribe, they are using cows instead of money as a mechanism for quantifying and representing power.

I don't think we can say that money is a representation of resources, because you can have resources without having money - for example you could own a large quantity of poor-quality land, which only becomes valuable when someone wants to build on it, in which case you have the power of who can build there, and you can sell the land to exchange the power for money. The land itself was valuable only because someone wanted it.

Similarly, we can't say that money is a representation of time, because many people around the world work very long hours for very little money.

There are many forms of power and money is one of them and it can be used to buy fame, loyalty and can win hearts when you do charity work with your money power . generally, money is a raw mat  which is used to create products , buy goods and services but I think Expert Power is very important which  is a personal kind of power that owes its genesis to the skills and expertise possessed by an individual, which is of higher quality and not easily available. I think it would be of help if this thread clarifies what we mean when we say "power" since it's a pretty abstract concept. Anyway, any form of power would be preferable than no power at all but money is my preferred form because it is, as what would we say, "liquid". It's easily convertible to other forms of power. Say your power is, religious influence. It'll likely take more steps to convert that to money than the other way around.

Now to break the metaphor I used earlier, I also like money because it is "solid". It is tangible. You can quantify how much money you have, you cannot easily quantify how much say, influence power, you have.

The part of my point that you missed is, if we all lived to be 1,000 starting today - and I mean in good health - think of all the inventions we would think up. Thinking is limited by lack of time to put everything together in different ways.

I'll choose power then, for by so doing I've choosed both, power with money would take you places where just money might not take you, give you privileges and respect money might not give.

But if it's just power and money, in a country where I come from, I'll choose money cause that's the only language we understand in this part of the world.

This is a very thought provoking issue because when there is power there is no shortage of money and when there is money then power comes into one's hands. But I think in today's era whoever has more money is more powerful. Money can strip people of all power. I have seen many people who have money bring the big powers under them. So I think money is more powerful than power when money is more than power everything is possible.

Nobody can agree that power is used before money and some Theory showed evidence that money is power and without money they will not be power, but I believe that many people have understood it in that form that without money there is no existence of power and there's no way you can record that we have power anywhere else

I agree with you. However, at this time money has also become a goal for the rulers. even people jockeying for the seat of territory lord too with the aim of earning more money. Assuming we are talking about power which was earned through legal/democratic means (political power). I think I would rather to have money.
Because with that power comes a bigger responsibility and I am not sure I would be ready to hold.

The life of thousands of people could be easily affected by my choices, with money I am the sole responsible on what I do with it and it is less likely I could worsen the life of people around me by mismanaging my own capital. In the best case scenario, I could even create more wealth and provide jobs for others as a private business person.

What we need to know is, without money the power you feel you have is useless, you need both to balance the equation. I think there's a power in that because if you can resist the temptations towards the attractive power of money, then you can actually overcome that influential power of my money.

So back to the situation of a society, since the societies has lost their free and fair lawfulness, either both do have their potentials in the society but truth be told, Power is more authenticated in the society because you can always get what you wanted forcefully with the intense of powerful exercise, money can only be a strategic on how you can invade by buying the interests of others to your own will. Wr must just understand that the basic of enforcing into power with money can be rejected or some may even squander and accepts the money but still would not abide to your will. I will definitely choose money because if I have money then my power will also increase. How can I show power if I don't have money? Nowadays everyone is running after the one who has money and the one who has no money has no value anywhere. If I don't have money then I will have no value in society and no one will listen to me. If I have money I can do whatever I want, without money it is very difficult to survive in the present age. So money is power.

You may be right but money is not every thing as there are times when your money becomes useless and it will only take someone in power to come to your rescue, for instance the world richest man can he influence the decision of a government? Both power and money can both provide significant influence. But I’d go with power. Not in the sense of dominance or having control over others, but in the ability to make a positive impact and contribute for the good of others and society as a whole.
