For regular gamblers, especially those who think their gambling activities have no problems, surely never think to stop. They have no reasons to stop, right? I mean If they were doing well with gambling as a source of income I honestly wouldn't stop them, but if they do, and rather than just equaling the wins and losses but rather losing in the negative, then I'd just stop. If they can win some money from gambling and can quit, it will give them an advantage because not everyone can get it and they can use the money in their life.
And if they can control themselves by not continuing to gamble but withdrawing the winnings, they will not get addicted to gambling.

In my humble opinion, it is almost impossible to make gambling as a source of regular income.
There are no gamblers who can guarantee to win every time. On the contrary, we experience more losses than winning. In this situation, how we can expect income from gambling? Gambling is mostly a place to spend money for entertainment, not a proper place to expect income.

A very simple logic behind, that self-will are the only cure in order to stay away completely even you will undergo to any kind of treatment and you move to any possible far location but if you don't want to really give up your gambling involvement, when there's a chance of you to gamble again it will happen and there's nothing that can stop you. Misconception and self-denying, something that a person or addicted gamblers really failed to assess inside them, they are trying to convince themselves that they are still doing the right thing or they are still getting a good amount of money and it's keeping them to continue playing not realizing that they are already engaging too much.

It is quite possible that gambling could be a thing of the past,yes because man was not cursed to remain a gambler for life,and the moment one discovers that he is getting addicted to gambling,he can decide to quit it and make it a thing of the past.I know it's very hard to stop a habbit,but the moment it's becoming a problem,it is good to stop it and look for something to keep you busy to avoid gambling again.

Indeed, this is what we must have in mind and heart before telling that you are a gambling free person.

You can decide to quit if you wishes. But being occupied can limits your attention from entirely gambling maybe out of 90 percent of your thinking about how to gamble with other activities occupying your heart you would only pay 40 percent to gamble. As time goes the more you reduces it gradually instead of quiting it at once which may likely affect your thinking and still have passion for it.

Sorry to say this, gambling is like a smoke addicts. Is very hard to quit smoking and it's gradually to stop but at some point you can decide to consume a stick per day instead of consuming about a packet for the whole day so is gambling, you can get distracted with loads of activities and targets around you even if you would gamble it won't be that constantly or regular as usual.
