In Asia, we have never been ideal environment for sports specially in SAARC region which is having too many conflicts and other issues regarding their divisions and economical they are also having not good position just because of this they are far behind in soccer as well even recently India done good job and with the increase of numbers in coming world cup I have feeling they could be no able to qualify for this event because this need long term strategy which is not working in India due to their political issues if they are able to settle things and have better domestic set up then surely they can achieve better results.

Surely they could be at the top with their few advantages but as I already mention things are no easy as we are talking here it's difficult task to achieve, but we can expect India could be in better shape until 2034 or 2038 World Cups.

When the All India Football Federation started Indian Super League (ISL), we had a lot of hope for the future of Indian football. They managed to bring star players from all around the world and the local players here got an opportunity to play alongside them. But 9 years have passed and still we are not witnessing much improvement in the performance of the national team (even in the age group divisions). 2034 and 2038 are very distant targets. I am not even sure whether I will live up to that date.

Right now, they are improving in Cricket and Hockey but sadly having not better future in this game which is surely had better source of income and profit for them and I can hope you may live long and have India in World Cup which could be surely one of the proudest time for all of us.

One of the issues in India is that too much importance is given to cricket. There are some regions such as Goa, Northeast and Kerala where football used to be strong. But even in these regions now cricket is rapidly replacing football as the no.1 sport. You can't blame the fans as well. Cricket is the only sport where India has a chance of competing in the global tournaments. They have never qualified for the football world cup, and even in field hockey their performance has gone down in the recent past.

but I agree with you that Thailand has the potential to achieve the best, because they must be recognized who are very ready for this. Thailand is very sustainable in looking for new players to become the main players in their country.
but of course it will not be easy to achieve it because we have to admit that the team of the Middle East countries (almost all the group winners) is also very potential, and the ex-Russian state of course, following the East Asian countries.

Even I have feeling after Japan, Korea and China ASEAN have good potential but still it's a long way to go for them because they need few things which give them strong sponsorships and better quality here we have the biggest issue we never take this sport as big industry as right now Africa doing which will bring good relationship with UEFA because they are the biggest market and have good way of investment as they will import players from here.

To be frank, I'm hoping that FIFA will give sanction to PSSI so it can be a lesson learned to them.
If there is no sanction, PSSI will consider this tragedy as unimportant thing and high likely there will be no improvement in the future.
The sanction I want to see is a sanction that affects the local league but does not affect the national team in the international competition.
As a fan of one local club in Indonesia, it will be sad if local league should be stopped/banned but if it can make the whole league better in the future then I'll support the ban.

If sanctions are against the league, everyone will agree. because the Indonesian league needs a fundamental revolution. while for the national team, if FIFA still allows playing in official competitions, this iwill become the fait forgiveness and Indonesian supporter must be take and advantage and more dicipline as well as possible by supporters. let's wait for the final decision of FIFA against PSSI.  incident reportedly made Arema & Persebaya fan camps agree to peace. hopefully this will come true.

Well I think that in all parts of the world there have been very ugly events of disturbances and things that have to do with not very pleasant things, to be honest I think that they do need a sanction, but not to take everything away from them, I think that the League It is one thing, but sanctioning an entire country for such an important event is not fair, and besides, as we are experiencing so many things in the world, with things of war, threats, it is not fair that something like this could happen to the people of Indonesia, It is a country that should not have its wings clipped, and even less so in something as beautiful as football.

China is still in a better position when compared to the sub-continental nations (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh.etc). China qualified for the world cup in 2002, although they lost all the matches. Countries such as India and Pakistan never managed to qualify for the FIFA world cup, since the focus is entirely on cricket. Even in China, the government support is primarily for athletics and other Olympic items, but the quality of the local football league is not too bad. Indonesia is another popular country, where football is quite weak. Hopefully things may change by 2026, when more AFC teams will qualify for the world cup.

Actually there are, but for other types of sports. especially badminton which has always been dominated by Asian countries.

but in football, Asian countries are far behind compared to other countries outside Asia. such as CONMEBOL and EUFA.
in fact, currently African countries are more rapidly developing in terms of football when compared to Asia. there are many factors that make the development of football in Asia far behind, I don't really know for other Asian countries, such as Japan, or the middle east. but for ASEAN countries, there are many factors.

The quality of the league competition is still very low and there is a lack of coaching from an early age, the training infrastructure is poor and the quality of the coaches is still minimal, match fixing is still rampant, there are a myriad of problems that must be fixed by ASEAN countries.
So, in this case, it is very natural that the development of football in Asia, especially ASEAN, is very lagging behind.

There is no doubt that Qatar will be the favorite in this match. But surprising results can occur. Because the Lebanese national team is not a weak team either. Now that we are enthusiastic about sports, we can really say that there is no one who doesn't like sports, especially football, where the majority of people remain enthusiastic in supporting it every time there is an event, especially now that the Asian Games will be held in Qatar, which is the center of attention this year.

Today we have three games in AFC Asia Cup which is playing in Qatar with first game which played between host Qatar vs Lebanon were one sided and Qatar won by good margin of 3–0, but today we have one match which produced some action Australia beats India by 2–0 and after this match we have two more which were completely bore games with no goal and no action first China vs Tajikistan both fail to produce anything and share points after this we have Uzbekistan vs Syria where Uzbekistan were favorite to win but sadly not able to end deadlock and Syrian defense done impressive work which give them good reward and ended with sharing one point.

Now tomorrow we will have 3 more games, most chances we will have some good action as Japan and Iran are going to start their campaign.

Winning friendly games aren't a yardstick to measure a team's performance and despite beating Germany with a 4:1 scoreline, I still do not fancy Japan as a better contender for the Asian Cup than South Korea. There's no doubt to the fact that both Japan and South Korea are the favorites to win the tournament but should for any reason, Japan and South Korea makes it to the final, I'll be banking my money on South Korea to win Japan and lift the trophy.
South Korea are boasts of two incredible English Premier League players who are the top scorer of their respective clubs in the EPL this season. Son Heung-Min and Hwang He Chan are two prolific forward players that are in the Korean team and I expect them to help their country win the tournament
