The new format is going to be underway in 10 days. Now teams are going to play 2 more matches than before in this stage. Once again the half of them are away and the other half are home matches. But this time every team are going to play against a different team in every match. What do you think about this format? Do you like it or have problems with adapting to it? The only difference is in this league stage. The rest of the tournament is the same format as before.
My friends have tried to explain the new format to me but I still do not understand how this will be achieved. From the explanations I have been given, I think the changes will make the champions league experience even more interesting to watch. The only disadvantage here is the amount of games played, the players are going to be exhausted from playing all these different competitions. I can’t wait to get started and see how this new system works.
Not really that complicated, instead of 6 games, teams will play 8 games, and it will be against 8 different teams, and 4 will be home, and 4 will be away, all drawn by luck based on their pot place and whatever result you get, will be a group table instead of just four teams, everyone is in the same group, so the higher point you get from those 8 games, the more chance you have to go to next stage.
The first till eighth place will go next stage, from 9th until 24th it will be battle between each other to get the next 8 places for the last sixteen, then the rest is exactly like how it used to be. I think I agree that it will be better, plus there will be more fun this way since teams will face a lot more competition and it gives everyone a chance to face someone a bit more closer to them in level.
