You never heard ethereum was widely adopted and become legal tender, only bitcoin.
Ethereum has a huge fee compared to bitcoin, there is LN in bitcoin while ethereum was not.

You can use whatever casino you want. I think that making a distinction between casinos based on what cryptocurrency they are using is wrong.
Almost all online casinos accept both BTC and ETH and there's no point of comparing them based on that particular factor.
The article is about blockchain gambling, but blockchain gambling isn't mainstream and it won't become mainstream anytime soon. Most of the crypto casinos are pretty much centralized. AFAIK, blockchain gambling games are slower than the traditional online gambling games, which ruins the overall player experience.

I also see no reason to use ethereum when bitcoin is more widespread and there is a working LN network in which commissions are generally minimal, and the transaction speed is high.

When you say Ethereum-based casino do you mean Dapps? If yes, then I suggest you gamble with them if you main use Ethereum as your main crypto when gambling since they have their own platform for it. That is 100% correct what you've from that article.

The multi chain online casinos have been present for a while know and the first "experiments" of online gambling are no more there or they evolve and they are what we see today. There was no point for first casinos to remain based only on btc or ethereum so they had to add multi chain in order to gather different gamblers that have different coins and I think the best coin for gamble is TRX if you cannot afford BTC fees.

I thought I was the only one getting a wrong point from the article and I think the writer of that article is still an amateur writer trying to point out the advantages of Dapp and multi-chain casinos, ethereum may have been mentioned because the Dapp is run on the ethereum blockchain. I think that at the end of the day, it still depends upon the preference of the gambler. Though fees may make or break the type of cryptocurrency to gamble, I personally think that gambling using other cryptocurrencies is to be preferred.

Remember that the value of BTC may increase in the near future. Due to its inflationary nature and limited supply in the market, there is always that potential for its price to skyrocket. Though prices currently are on the read, the greatest evidence of it reaching another ATH is its price history when it reached peak $60,000 for a single BTC.

If you want to compare bitcoin to ethereum and tell which one is the best for crypto gambling then you should mention the pros and cons for each coin as a payment method. I think the article mostly covers about blockchain gambling and aside from the transaction time and transaction fee both of them have the same experience in my own perspective. Both bitcoin and ethereum now is widely available in the market and the transaction fees of both is not far away from each other depending on the casino. Yes, even ethereum fee is not cheap at all, you can even be able to adjust bitcoin fee in a way it would be cheaper, if talking about the fee, ethereum is also not a good option to go for. Yeah , thats why we explore with other coins because of the struggle in High Fees from bitcoin and ethereum , have not you tried using Dogecoin or Tron mate? both has also lowering fees when the congestion is still in place.

The article completely missed the, what I call as, Hybrid casinos. There are centralized gambling platforms that has some dapp-like features. You create your account with the usual email, you deposit to the wallet assigned to your account, and you're good to go but the platform also allows you to just connect your non-custodial wallet (i.e Metamask) and play. Well in that case I think it's best not to try ETH casinos at first place.
Firstly there's a risk that not all casinos might be genuine, some may even run away with our coins.
Secondly, if we don't have a control on ourself from gambling then we might end up gambling all that we have in our wallet.

Well on a normal I can't even different between Ethereum and Bitcoin casino but looking at the link, I am still wondering why I will have to choose Ethereum casinos when their network fee is very high. I prefer using other cryptocurrency than Bitcoin or Ethereum. Ethereum never tried because of the fee. Bitcoin fee are still less but sometimes it gets delayed therefore I prefer other cryptocurrencies that are faster and yet have a cheap fees. Almost all gambling sites are now offering other cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin and Ethereum.

About that dapp thing you're talking about, is that the same as on owlgames? But, on owlgames you still need to pay something before the balance reflects in your account. What I thought is that once we connect our wallet with them, the balance will be reflected immediately but before I am very excited and happy when I heard some gambling sites support this because in my head, I won't need to pay a transaction fees anymore like what I do when I deposit a crypto on the traditional crypto gambling site.

I've never considered using Ethereum on gambling websites. Even though the transactions are much faster compared to bitcoin, its high fees are not worth to use it on gambling. If a gambling website is a dapp platform where you just need to connect your wallet with funds, I would still not play there if they only support erc-20 network. There are many alternatives now that has low fees like polygon or bsc network to gamble.

Speed of transactions are depends on the fee you have paid, there's no difference between Bitcoin or Ethereum. If you send Bitcoin and set the fee with high priority, your transactions will confirmed around 5-10 minutes. As you said Ethereum is much faster than Bitcoin, you can send Ethereum and set the fee with low priority, I believe your transactions might confirmed around 1-2 days, even more it will stuck in lambo.

You can still use other network and connect with dapps, example BSC network.

Well, no doubt with ETH. The fee is really quite high and it's not ideal for small transfers but for huge transactions, you will not mind the fee as you deposit.

And I've said that if you've got a huge transfer, it won't matter to you. Because like having a $100 to $1k worth of ETH transaction, will you mind paying those fees? I don't think that you'll be that delicate to pay that much for sending it.
But as you've said, there's a way to reduce the transaction fee for ETH transactions and that's why choosing the other chain but it all depends if the casino has that support for other chains specifically for ETH.

Same here... high fees make Ethereum bad for gambling and moving bankroll from one casino to another! And there are many alternatives indeed, and BSC is probably the best for some time! Some casinos allow transfers on the BSC chain, so we can move any coin on that chain for a cheap price, and they are also very fast!

I think creating or building an ETH casino is not OP's goal or purpose but rather looking for opinions if playing in Ethereum casinos is somehow convenient too like playing in the usual bitcoin casino. We really are concerned about gas fees in ETH and I think there will be no solution for it for now. Depositing ETH to an external service will likely cost a huge fee compared to usual.

The only advantage of using ETH casinos, as I mentioned already, is the ability to link our own wallet like Metamask into the platform making the deposit cheaper and much safer. I remember 4-5 years ago there were casinos where you could play using dozens of different coins and ethereum tokens and other coins.  But it was the time of the ico hurricane and coins were born almost every day, 10 pieces each.

It indeed boils down to an individual's choice. If I were given a choice to pick BTC, ETH or any stable coin I would prefer stable coin too.

All depends on self preference since not all would be comfortable on using up their BTC thats why people would opt in on making use of their altcoins and if we do talk about ETH then the current gas fees now are

There is really no difference, actually major casinos already accept two main crypto currencies so what's the point really? I can go to any major gambling site and deposit with whatever major cryptocurrency I want. I normally pick altcoins that have low transaction fee but that's not even a problem anymore since even sending Bitcoin and Ethereum cost less than a dollar these days. It used to be a problem when we have to pay 5-10 dollars or more per transaction.

Thats true. Often, established popular casinos are offering major currencies for their players, obviously Bitcoin and ETH are one of these options. As a gambler I prefer casinos offering not only Bitcoin or ETH, having many alts are much better because I can choose the coin I prefer to use that I think is convenient in my part. Usually our concern is about the fees thats why we have different preference what currency to use.
