That is 100% correct what you've from that article.

The multi chain online casinos have been present for a while know and the first "experiments" of online gambling are no more there or they evolve and they are what we see today. There was no point for first casinos to remain based only on btc or ethereum so they had to add multi chain in order to gather different gamblers that have different coins and I think the best coin for gamble is TRX if you cannot afford BTC fees.

I choose Bitcoin casinos. If Ethereum casinos means that the casino use the ethereum network as what many Dapps do then it is good for orher people because it is fair but I think Ethereum casino will also accept another crypto as one of the payment method that will be used much like the same as Bitcoin casinos where other cryptocurrency are also accepted when a gambler wanted to gamble but only have Bitcoin. I've been betting on casinos that have both options, Bitcoin & Ethereum, nothing I can think of other than withdrawal or deposit fees, both cryptos are good, nothing wrong with either.

The problem of choice, of course there used to be when Ethereum was cheap and fees were like that, I didn't have any problems with Bitcoin & Ethereum casinos, when Ethereum Fees were very large than usual, I have to think twice, I switched to a casino that offers Bitcoin options and until now, for now I am more comfortable with Bitcoin casinos, for now haven't tried again about Ethereum casino.

I thought I was the only one getting a wrong point from the article and I think the writer of that article is still an amateur writer trying to point out the advantages of Dapp and multi-chain casinos, ethereum may have been mentioned because the Dapp is run on the ethereum blockchain. But just as you mentioned most gamblers will rather choose a casino with a multi deposits currency option and allow for low fees such as the use of the LN network within some casinos to tackle the problem of fees and delayed transaction time.

It is all about the transaction of the crypto currency token they would like to use and of course, it depends on the transaction fees mostly if the tons of people using an Ethereum in different transactions and minting into NFTs there's a chance it might get congested. I think that at the end of the day, it still depends upon the preference of the gambler. Though fees may make or break the type of cryptocurrency to gamble, I personally think that gambling using other cryptocurrencies is to be preferred.

Remember that the value of BTC may increase in the near future. Due to its inflationary nature and limited supply in the market, there is always that potential for its price to skyrocket. Though prices currently are on the read, the greatest evidence of it reaching another ATH is its price history when it reached peak $60,000 for a single BTC.

The comparison is not fair and even a bit misleading, not sure if the writer of the article did it intentionally or because he is confused too.
If you want to compare bitcoin to ethereum and tell which one is the best for crypto gambling then you should mention the pros and cons for each coin as a payment method. But in this article, the writer focused on the cons of bitcoin as a payment method (fees, confirmation time) then talks about the pros of etheurum as a platform for smart contracts (DApps..), which is not right.
If we are going to talk about smart contracts, DApss.. then why ethereum! bsc seems a better choice in this case.

OP it's your prefer choice on which you wish to use, for the popularity of Bitcoin alone speaks for itself as a popular choice for many likewise myself too.
Perusing through the article it obviously outline some part of the few reasons I preferred  Bitcoin casinos to Ethereum;

1) like it clearly stated, the widely accepted choice it posses enable Bitcoin users to access any casino of their choice for gambling thereby not been limited to few choices of casinos unlike the ethereum.

2) the traffic atimes experienced with ethereum is unfamiliar with Bitcoin compared, in terms of transaction speed which is also clearly stated in the article as given by the OP.

It all goes back to the convenience factor of the users to choose whether it is a bitcoin casino or ethereum casino. I think the type of game will be almost the same and there is no significant difference. The only difference is the type of coin they use because in many casinos, bitcoin and ethereum are also available and users can choose which one is comfortable for them to use. With the smart contract feature of ethereum, this type of casino may also develop well in the future because with many coins or tokens that use the ethereum network, casinos can try to use their own coins as a betting tool.

If only the fees are as cheap as before then I may pick Ethereum as my first choice for crypto gambling as I don't want to waste more Bitcoin.

But that wouldn't be like that forever since the anticipated upgrade would likely solve that problem on their network. You can gamble on any Ether platform or BTC platform if you want. If gambling is done with crypto then in my perspective BTC is the best because it is completely decentralized whereas ether is centralized. Another reason is that BTC is the most widely used crypto everywhere. All casinos accept btc but ether may not accepted everywhere. In general, BTC is the best from the place of Popularity.

I still gamble using Bitcoin instead of Ethereum, because I rarely use gambling dApps besides that it's not that interesting either, rather than Ethereum maybe I will use other altcoin in gambling dApps with relatively cheaper fees.
