It happened to every form of currency. I don't think it was exclusive to Bitcoin so people distrust Bitcoin for that is unreasonable. I only saw a good number of dislike for Bitcoin come from the banking system aka the main competitors of Bitcoin if it becomes a common currency in real life.

I did not like Bitcoin yet I regret it till today, so the regret is for both parties, not those that dislike/disliked it alone. Everyone needs money and such a missed opportunity might never be regained by many. Nonetheless, you are right, it is not over yet as I am a good trader, I have been earning through futures and spot trading. The nerves are getting calmer now.

You are wrong here, it is never unreasonable for anyone to have reservations about Bitcoin, though it might not be worth it in recent times. Personally, I changed my mind due to the more traceability of Bitcoin and the opportunity to trade it with exchanges. Fiat truly has its flaws too, but the truth is that it is still well-regulated. You can't compare its lapses with that of Bitcoin which is so decentralized. I don't think it is unreasonable for anyone to think in that direction.

Nothing to regret or feel kinda stupid here, if bitcoin wasn't interested and didn't grow as explosively as it is today then you could say the OP was a bit stupid at the time. You should know that the explosion of bitcoin is unpredictable even if it is Satoshi.
I believe the early adopters also sold out their bitcoins shortly after the price of bitcoin went up 10x or 100x, very few people could hold them until today. There is still time to invest in bitcoin, it is still possible to become rich if you invest in bitcoin today and hold it for ten years or even twenty years from now.

I don't see any meaningful reason why some set of people who just hate bitcoin. The truth is that anyone that hates bitcoin lack knowledge. A lot of people are still pushing the "bad guys use bitcoin hurr durr" narrative not even taking into account that literally any tool out there can be used for both good and bad; and even forgetting that the very currency they're using everyday is being used for malicious purposes as well.

the narrative about bitcoin is only used by bad people even today it is still rippling loudly around, what I'm sad about is they don't really know what they say and think about bitcoin, bitcoin will continue to exist without or with the support of the crowd.

Op while your story is so understanble, I feel that your topic is not in line with your story. Your topic is saying of why you hate bitcoin while your story is saying about your mistake of not believing bitcoin early when you heard of it. It wasn't bitcoin problem, but rather your problem. I believe that the narrative of "only bad guys use bitcoin" has got to be propaganda of Bitcoin opponents who actively have something to lose (in most cases, obviously profit) from the mass adoption of Bitcoin. These are the pushers of said propaganda. I cannot imagine anyone else wanting to hurt the reputation of Bitcoin with such obvious lies. Anyone who adopted Bitcoin even a week ago knows it's a lie. So it can't be ignorance fueling the anticoinery. It's got to be bankers and regulators.

Everyone has the right to their decisions and for someone to dislike Bitcoin means that they have their reservations, but not necessarily mean that they are the opponent. The reason for many to dislike it or have their reservations might be genuine which I will always respect despite now using Bitcoin myself.

I am sure you are misinterpreting people, how lame could it be to say that Bitcoin is being used only by the bad people? More good people use it of course. But we can't ignore the fact that Bitcoin is also being used by bad people because of its decentralization. Loopholes everywhere. I will always be factual.

First, hate is different from dislike, and many have reservations about Bitcoin that are genuine for real. Incidents like this happen a lot to some people who have always known Bitcoin, and in the same case as you, they don't choose to buy Bitcoin at a very low price at that time or in the 2012 area, and a lot of people -people regret seeing the price of Bitcoin now because if they had bought Bitcoin in the past, maybe now there are so many benefits that these people have gotten.

The sad thing is, I "knew" that bitcoin would go up, but I had a stream of income from it and didn't feel like I would need to keep most of it because the big income would continue to come and I would make wealth from it. Like you could work with just fiat and still make a profit and become wealthy, that way.

I just had income that was beyond what I am making right now, even 5 years ago, it was superb and I loved it. Then it all stopped and now I have nearly no bitcoin left, I have a few thousand in investments but that's about it, nothing big. Your case is better, you had many income streams and still earn from Bitcoin regardless of whether you hold it or not. Once you are earning, you are earning, so no regrets. I have explained this in the past, I will do that again. We need to be neutral and realistic here. Bitcoin is decentralized, while fiat is not, the loopholes to use Bitcoin to commit a crime are more, and these people are virtually using it unchallenged unlike the case of fiat. Conclusively, none of them could be absolved of crimes but that of Bitcoin is way more.

I like this quote of yours, as no one could turn back the hands of time, we should not be living in regrets. This has been my conclusion about Bitcoin opportunities missed because of my overbearing thoughts. However, this has passed, and more present and future opportunities are still with Bitcoin if one could unlock them carefully.
