Sponsorship has not been confirmed for the upcoming season, but we're working on it. Meanwhile, the format of this pool competition will also be tweaked slightly -- it may be that we have a single format resembling last season's Pot B, or it will still retain the Superbru format of Pot A, but with a much reduced share of the total prize fund.

I think Pot B was very interesting last season and it is different from all other Superbru pools.
If I remember correctly I won some reward in Pot A last season, and I was very close to winning something in Pot B.
I am calling all sponsors to support Champions League pool or I will complain to UEFA

Lol, I know. I was halfhearted joking about Barca of course. We look terrible, missing all our best players, Real are Real. Got Bellingham, Mbappe, no need to talk about everyone else, just amazing.

I also wish it to be Leverkusen, but now we see the new format, gonna be even harder for the weaker teams to get better draws pssshhh believe me Real Madrid is even better position to win again and again.

I heard that this year the playoff pairings will be played automatically (to reduce the time from 3 hours to half an hour) because the new format is more difficult. But remembering all the previous history I am sure that City will again get the easiest opponents 
For some reason they always get the easiest opponent (as long as there are easy opponents in the draw) and it just doesn't surprise me. And when I hear about automation, my suspicions grow even more.

That's what I mean, less random pairing, top seed with low seed, like so the best meets the worst, 2nd best meets 2nd worst. And so on. I mean, I kinda get it but we all loved the random pairing element right?

So in the past, they tried to do that anyway we all know the 'handling' when drawing random, but now they don't need to anymore.

And looking at the OP, entry fee last time out was set @ 0.002 BTC or approximately $50..will this be pegged @$50 or equivalent for this edition or will be higher ??

I watched the Young Boys-Galatasaray match. Young Boys absolutely deserved more than this. However Batshuayi helped Galatasaray hold onto the round with the 2 goals he scored in 7 minutes. Even though Young Boys are going to İstanbul with an advantage, I think that Galatasaray are going to get past this round comfortably at home unfortunately.

What happen with turks teams in the european competitions? Why they play so bad or below the expectative? Is allways this, and between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce they have quite good teams but they keep losing against minor teams.

Hello everyone! As much as I would have liked to prepare sample forms early and spreadsheets, the biggest issue with Champions League is that we only know the full lineups after the playoffs, so it only gives us 2 weeks or so to check out the odds and teams and fully prep the sheets.

Regardless, with four weeks to the start of the Group Stage and MD1, I would like to take the opportunity to invite everyone to participate in this upcoming prediction pool, so am tagging all participants from last season to give an early heads up.

For those of you unfamiliar with the format we played last season, check out OP. This season's formats will be similar, with some amendments that hopefully improve on the experience.

1. 2-Pot format remains
Based on feedback received, we will retain the simplicity of Superbru but reduce its significance in the overall prize pot. Tentatively, this means:
- Pot A, the Superbru scores-based format, will take 30% of the total prize pot.
- Pot B, the form/spreadsheet odds-based format, will take 70% of the total prize pot.

2. Pot B will have expanded markets
We toyed around with a huge market selection, but we're not a sportsbook, usually the sponsor is. Nevertheless, there will now be 2 markets to stake points on. Tentatively, these are:
- ML market (1x2).
- Over/Under goal market.

3. Added layer of strategy
After experimenting with different ways to collect points, we decided that we're not going to complicate the form too much, instead, we'll introduce new limits to maximum stake per outcome, plus a penalty for zero-point players each round. This is mainly to address concerns that leaders could get lucky with a huge stake win on an oversized outcome. We hope this forces people to strategise by ensuring they play at least one realistic outcome per round.
- There will now be a maximum of 4 points staked per outcome.
- Any player ending a MatchDay with 0 points will incur a 5% penalty to their overall points.

To answer a question posed by Woodie above about the entry fee, it was difficult to really put a firm answer down for now (partly because we've not secured sponsorship yet). But I want to settle for 1mbtc. I personally prefer 2, but at the same time understand it's premium price to ask for over $120...

I fully support the idea of Pot B having a bigger prize pool and am glad to see that some extra markets will be introduced.

Not sure that I like the limits for bets, I feel that it makes sense to risk all 10 points if you feel the bookie made a mistake but yeah, I understand why it was implemented and I think it makes sense as well.

Great stuff, good to see that we will have same format as last season. Having something more than just ML markets is something what I missed. And adding betting limits is something what won't affect me cuz I never go all in on one game.
Agree with decision to keep fee at 1 mbtc. Probably still would play with 2 mbtc fee, but when you play in almost all possible pools or games, it's already quite a lot money in total, maybe not everyone can afford it.

I like the changes but maybe there is still time for more sponsors to join the competition and increase the price in second pool.

Yeah Im curious about this too. Their brand is still on the title of this thread though so Im just assuming it is (?)

Actually most could afford it but only a handful of people win the pool though so yeah. Most of us average joe that joined lots of pool ended up not winning anything lol, some probably break even or getting decent amount of profit if they ended up getting the 1st spot

Good news to me also, and same as @goodpunt, I'm in this one regardless of sponsor or not. I totally understand its never easy to get sponsors, and funny enough Champions League is like literally the last competition to start, and sponsors already give everything to all the pools, so even if its the most famous competition in the world, its like the last one to get funds!!

Maybe you should start looking to UEFA directly OP lol

It is really nice that the prize in Pot B is going to get higher. Also, the new rules are reasoned to heat up the rivalry. Good luck to everyone already now. Im still salty with this. Well yeah they didnt lose at regular time but it still awful to watch them play against 10 players then lose

In that game it's best we just conclude that the better side won irrespective of the man down difference. Fenerbahce was actually a bag of disappointment in that game and that settles it.

Barca gonna surprise everyone, trust me. Hansi Flick Masterclass is coming to Spain.

Nah when it comes to UCL, Real Madrid is way better than any other team. I would love if either Bundesliga or Serie A would become the winner for this season UCL, would prefer it to be Leverkusen

Hansi Flick is no match to Carlo Ancelotti, mehhhn the man is much of  a masterclass in what his does on the pitch than Hansi Flick, and his squad is world class even before the arrival of Kylian Mbappe to the club. I am not in a dilemma that Real Madrid won't win season trophy again except something out of the ordinary happens in the process of the competition.

For the pedestal Leverkusen has given themselves I would have loved to see them win a UCL too, but the odds of that happening is very minuscule to happen. This season it's all eyes on Real Madrid then Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and so on...

If I will be in a paid signature which I hope to be,surely I will participate or if you guys do accept payments much later like when I will win something from F1 without a doubt to be able to pay here ( extreme case but if possible I would appreciate it) it is tight in here these days,no signatures and those who start do not run more than a few weeks.It is also OK for me if you guys do not accept,this is my situation right now so no worries,I will watch from distance  .

I'm willing to help pay for one or two people upfront if its a problem to pay early. I totally understand the situation, its not about having money, its about having BTC. If I didn't have signature, it would be annoying for me to buy BTC and pay.

Trust me guys I know. I'm just saying it because I support Barca and nothing else. I mean honestly, Flick now talks to his team via Lewandowski, that's not really a good thing for me. But the problem is deeper than Hansi. Xavi was the best coach for us, but the club man, the club, the money, losing Gundogan, losing whoever else because we can't afford shit. Getting shat on by your club, those are the deeper problems than us playing on the pitch.
