Everything was sent on time and I like how Pot B website is working, with few more improvements it is going to be perfect.
I saw small time mistake with deadline time but I couldnt post anything about it on time in forum.
So many matches in Champions League this week, but I dont like that matches are played for 3 days.

Is there any way to see selected picks and won points for everyone in website, or we are again going to use spreadsheets?

First of all, you guys made great website for Pot B. It's very convenient, much less manual work needed and I like that I don't have to count how many remaining points to stake I have.
Seems that my boring decision mainly to go with goals over and few ML picks wasn't bad.
Damn you Bayern, it's brutal. After 2 goals of Dinamo Zagreb it looked that there is chance for comeback. How dare someone to think so

It's 1mbtc as in OP -- BC.Game sponsorship will match the amount collected in fees. There are now 30 participants (including 3 late payments). That means 30mbtc in fees, matched by a further 30mbtc in sponsorship, for 60mbtc in the pot as of now.

Damn, 3 penalties for Kane for total of 4 goals just from him. Total of 8 goals so far for Kane, 4 in Bundesliga and 4 in UCL. He might score over 45 goals this season. Anyway Bayern Munich is just too cruel and its kinda expected that there will be alot of goals in this game due to the difference in league quality

I would love a spreadsheet too to keep track of our own results, I mean I would go a bit further, I would love that in the secret link we get with our secret pin we can see our overall performance, maybe we are asking to much but I think this is a much needed feature to be added to Pot B, great job in updating results of the first two games really fast and that shows it is working yet as some of us has asked we need somewhere to see our own results and the others of course where we can compare choices, last year we could see other picks after the match day games started if I am not mistaken.

Coming to betting side what a brutal loss for me as I predicted right with goals Liverpool, Real and Bayern with Over 3.5 goals the first two and Over 4.5 goals Bayern, Lille Over 2.5 and that red card ruined them completely, I also had all these 4 games both teams to score and again Lille I doubt they are to play in this league, maybe in Europa, worse team I have seen in today games definitely.

I'm not sure if my memory serves me well, but in the last episode, we had a basic spreadsheet link where we could track results. Buwaytress right?

Lol Young boys spoilt my one and only parlay for the first round; I expected them to score at least one goal at home, considering they have more experience in the competition than Aston Villa, but they ended up playing like shit.

If you go to Leaderboard and press MD1, you'll be able to see your picks in more detail.

To be honest, for large chunks of data I prefer the spreadsheets, but most people find them 'boring' and 'old-fashioned'.
This is prettier, but takes a bit more time to compere your answers to other people.

Sorry guys, on phone and it is a nightmare trying to type but cryptofrka got here to respond first.

On Leaderboard, click the MD1 link at the top. An hour after deadline for each matchday, everyone's submission will be available here. Personally I also like spreadsheets but crucially for fairplay, not even I will be able to see these responses until after deadline =)

And yeah, it does look prettier. If we find people hate it too much, we will look into options but I think this is sufficient. If you recall last season, with so many submissions and 16 matches, it was a long way scrolling through!

Oh and results are alli updated. I forgot to save the results in admin. Sorry for the wait. But a good test for me to see if I can update admin from.phone as some nights like tonight will be watching outside. so far so good!

Not after all this initial noise and when we enter the later stages of the tournament, they meet other top clubs but fail to progress or we don't get to see electric performance like this. At a point I was actually feeling very bad for the Dinamo Zagreb goalie, conceding 9 goals is weird in the champions league.

Nobody talking about that Endrick strike (goal)? That's some statement from the youngster, coming in as a sub and taking that shot when he could have easily passed to either Vinicius on the right or Mbappé on my left, that was confidence right there. The kid has some balls and I love it.

There is a lot of room for improvement. And the idea is to improve little by little throughout the season. Well, only with your feedback and by analyzing the site as it actually works, will it be possible to improve.

I'll think of more ways to look at the data. Keep giving your feedback so we can improve.

If it were to be last season when you could go all in with your points allocation on one match, I likely would have back Liverpool, but I love the measures of 4 maximum points stake as well as the 5% penalty when you get zero point in a game week, it will help cautiousness and likely help preserve the top for whoever is able to build significant lead down the stretch.

Kane said that Kompany ordered them to be merciless and score as many as they can. Majority of the teams slow down after 4-5 goals, but not the Germans. Remember when they thrashed Brazil 7-1 at the WC?

Regarding the game, what can I say as a Dinamo fan after a performance like that where even though we conceeded 9, our goalkeeper was probably the best player in our team. No tenacity, no aggression, as if they were playing a friendly. I mean, how can you play against a much stronger opponent and make only 2 fouls in the first half and just 6 overall? It should have been double digits fouls by halftime. Fml.

Yeah I get your point but for him to take that shot and to score on his champions league debut says alot. We lack lots of players with personality this days, everything is just about giving the spot lights to one person. You could also say it was a good decision because everyone including the goalie was expecting a pass (that's why he was caught unaware).

Isn't some level of selfishness good or isn't that what skyrocketed some players we know today to the top. Not everyone can be the assist king. If Real Madrid was losing then I'll question his decision when there were better options on both side but it was the 90th+ mins and he saw an opportunity to be the hero and he took it perfectly.

Oh this makes sense now as I thought too that, they were going to slow down but they didn't. Vincent wants to make a statement as people don't trust that he can deliver silverware for the team because of his lack of experience. I agree, think he was desperate to make a name for himself. He got lucky because it wasn’t a great shot. I’m doubtful about Endrick fulfilling the big hype around him but we will see in time if he is that good.

I am with @Trofo here. We see this 'balls' all the time with people like Antony and so many times we see that it can cost a team. I magine if Stuttgart equalize again? They had more shots than Real at 1-1 too, so I didn't want the game but it seems that it was dangerous to try that sort of shot. All good coaches will tell Endrick he should never have done that.

On the other hand @CryptopreneurBrainboss is also right about personality, but I am not sure there are not enough players like this, just simply there used to be many types of players like this but modern coaches now always try to make this behaviour change.

Not to take away from the goal, it was a great one, but I believe in tennis, this is called a forced error from keeper

Speaking of balls, Trofo had the biggest balls so far and won 24 points from the Bayern massacre. I just expected a defensive game from Zagreb, but they really went all out too, to be fair.

BTW kudos to buwa and joker, I think Pot B went very well, I am very very impressed. Many bugs for sure, but it was first match day and everything breaks in production

I think this solves a lot of the allin problems we were talking about last season, and for sure the 5% penalty makes sure we at least pick 1 good or sure thing. I like it a lot too. I would have poured everything on Barca tho!

Yeah, the 'no maximum stakes' change is a good one. Initially I didn't like it but it adds variety and more calculations are possible.

While I can categorically say I’m beginning to trust Barcelona again with Flick, I don’t think I would have backed Barcelona just yet against Monaco.

Barcelona sure have started the season in a great fashion, way much better thatln what we’ve seen in the last several seasons, but so has Monaco, they’re unbeaten in the French ligue 1 after 4 games too, and they defeated Barcelona during a preseason match.

Nice idea, I like it. You know you'll just lose in the end, though, right?

In theory, everything can be done, but in practice, I think the current straightforward layout will suffer from more complicated data display (we're even not sure yet how 16 MDs will start to look like as they stack up).

I was even thinking of an easy way to compare (like selecting users to compare vs you). I know joker_josue is working on some things already, we'll see if this can be done. Might need to collect all the desired stats requirements and build them at once, so we don't keep tinkering. What do you think josue? Obviously, at the moment, this is quite literally a personal passion project we're both committing own resources to.

1. User season-long statistics:
- Accuracy % (# of correct picks / Total picks made)
- Average odds of picks
- Average winning points (# of points in correct picks / # of points already used)

2. User active matchday statistics:
- Points still in play (not settled out of 10)
- Max possible score (Points in play*odds)

3. Comparison feature H2H
- user can select another user (maybe up to 3 users) to compare side-by-side.

These are all just nice things to have though, and will cost us to develop, so we'll probably add it to end of season for non beta v1 (provided this one is a success!).  Something that is always an issue is how late UCL starts -- both players and sponsors get what I might call fatigue. Many players responded saying they had too many pools already. Sponsor, as well, already spent their budget on pools and various comps. Can't really fix that but if we could present a tested product that we can "sell" to sponsors, to help them get more value out of the comp, maybe we get more successful with sponsorships too.

Something other items very non critical but I wanted to pursue was some kind of H2H component, some kind of cooperative component, and some kind of (even more) weighted risk component. But without a fixed # of users, and of course more work required from josue, very hard to implement on our own haha. In due time for sure!
