If she is the type you are honest with and consider to be your wife. She noticed that gambling is not helping you is the reason. If you are a working class, you can just use 5% of your weekly income or less to gamble. If you use more than that and you are becoming an addict, best to quit.

after this if she is really important (yes of course that's why she is my girl friend ) ...
well the answer is obvious, yes I would listen to it without a doubt.

Based on my experienced as married man, Woman is always right if you really love them because you will never gonna win any argument if s*x is already on the table.    Right now I can’t gamble anymore when my wife is around or else I will be sleeping on our couch. Depends on the situation, because there are instances where a woman/girlfriend keeps you from getting off of your entertainment/pastime even without them affecting your quality of life and your time spent to your girlfriend.

Because if that's the case, I would otherwise leave that woman for an entertainment that keeps me sane especially if I know that I am gambling in moderation unless you really love her and want to have a toxic relationship. YIKES!

Your girlfriend will only insist to stop her man gambling when she knew that it’s affecting there relationship. We should follow them if they are insisting it because they know that it’s already bad for us. A girl will not gonna stop there boyfriend on the things that they happy to do if they don’t se any wrong about it but they usually real talk when they saw that it’s not normal anymore. There’s no way a girl will stop you if she didn’t care for the guy.

Most at time we don't give our girlfriends the access to control your activities most especially your income, if the gambling is basically helping the family there is no need she would asked you to stop gambling without appropriate and cogent reason why i should stop gambling. But if noticed I always losing then i have no option than pause for a while and wait for the favorable time to gamble again, most at times i noticed gambling has to do with luck and favor though it doesn't work all times. Keep in mind there are different between girlfriend and wife, my wife have the full control to ask me to stop and i have no option than to stop instead of going further.

If her reasons for insisting that I stop is to make me desist from incurring losses due to maybe she might have witnessed scenarios where I had 3x losses than I have made in profit from gambling , then she's doing a right thing for me, so I'll stop but not totally only just playing rarely.

But if am making good income from the gambling through which am paying some of her bills too, then to me she's just a factor I would choose to ignore.

Women like to talk about steps a man can protect their savings, that is one of the aspects they are good at, they can give the best advice that we men already knew too though. If she is right, you will know, but I will say she is right. According to the OP, the girl friend knows he is gambling, which means the complain would be because he is losing and she sees that gambling is not helping his boyfriend.

Based on my experienced as married man, Woman is always right if you really love them because you will never gonna win any argument if s*x is already on the table.   

A good woman will also want to have s*x with his man, they have the huge too, if a woman do not have the huge, it means she has another man that the guy do not know that is servicing her.

I will listen to her only if she could give me a concrete reason why she's asking me to quit because I know for myself that I'm a responsible gambler and I won't allow it to affect or ruin my relationship with the people around me. In case she would only ask me to stop gambling because of her personal belief and preference then I will strongly disagree. It's a good question and it has two sides.

First part is usually the "why should I obey to a girl?" and so on. Well, it's up to you really and you can easily evaluate your relationship based on that. However, you should discuss this with her carefully, since she may just have misconceptions on gambling and all could be solved nicely in a way both or you are happy.

Second, if you "obey", you can show that you are serious about the relation and, even more, you can show to yourself that you're not actually addicted to that (which, don't be fooled, is always a possibility).


However, I cannot answer to "will you stop" since I don't gamble much and I'm also already married.

I would if the reasons for me to abandon it are reasonable, like times of economic crisis or budget managing, etc. In my personal case I have other hobbies which I like to partake in, on the other hand, if she demanded me to stop spending time/money in all my hobbies completely, I would not.
We all need to have something to do with our spare time that we enjoy, I'd rather to have my hobbies and passions than such a controling person as my partner, to be honest.

If your gambling habit has gotten so bad that the people around you who love you have begun trying to get you to stop, it's probably something that you should take a look at.  Is your girlfriend overreacting because you had to check gambling scores real quick while out to dinner and she wanted your full attention to complain about her co-workers, or is your girlfriend begging you to help build your lives together but you keep spending every extra dime you have on losing bets and as a result are forcing your girlfriend to live a less fulfilling life?  Probably best to figure that out.

I think it is bad to obey your girlfriend more than anyone else. If there is one girl that boys must obey then that will only be their mothers because they came from it. It's only your girlfriend anyway not your wife but if it's about our wife then the trust and respect are already at a different level so maybe we will also obey them most especially if we already have a child.

I think all of us wants a happy family and we don't want it to be broken, only because we got addicted in gambling and we also don't want our kids to get influenced in gambling at their early age. If only we do gambling in moderation then our wife or girlfriend are going to be fine with it.

If you really love and respect that relationship, you will follow the advice of your girlfriend because she wont asked you to stop if she think you’re doing right. Gambling can ruin any relationship especially if there’s a money involve, some gamblers might not listed to this and ready to sacrifice their relationship just to gamble, this is a situation where you can confirm that you are already addict in gambling. Again, better to gamble moderately using extra money, don’t wait for this moment to happen when someone asked you to stop gambling.

It depends, if gambling is my only or main source of income, and i earn good money from it from which i am able to take good care of her and her needs, as well as mine too, then i will not listen to her.
But on the other hand, if i am a gambling addict who make nothing or close to nothing from gambling, but rather, use money that we would have used for some other important things to gamble, and at the end of it, still bring nothing home, then its imperative to listen to her and try as much as possible to stop gambling, since shes only trying to help me .

Doesn't matter. I will gamble whenever I want even if she does not favor me doing it. It's not that I don't want to follow here but that topic should be out of the main concerns we need to talk about since, in the first place, there's no worst-case scenario that I create because of my gambling activity.

Relationships shouldn't be that technical. Show your girlfriend that you are still responsible despite your gambling activity.

In case a person is really showing irresponsibility because of gambling, then they need serious help as even their girlfriend insists, it won't work.

You have to accept him as she is, and vice versa. If you try your best to stop gambling it's actually fine, but must be from your personal thoughts because something a forced will hurt you and your girl friend someday.
