Ethereum can reach $4k very easily if we are on a bull market but currently I believe that we are still on a bear market phase and I don't think we will reach bull market by the year 2023. Many speculators predict that we will experience another euphoria phase between 2025 and 2026 and I believe that since there are historical data that they are backing their speculations.

I don't see 4k price as too much big a price for ethereum to reach in a short period, but many think that a 4k price is too big of a price to anticipate in this present market condition on the contrary, if any good news breaks out and the $2000 price is reached it will become very easy to beat the 4k benchmark.

Possibly, but we need more good news from this market, not only from ETH platform.
Once btc is soaring high, for sure, other alts will follow, and so with ETH.
As we have observed, even ETH is following the trend of BTC.

If the market moves onto bullish, then we can experience the price of ethereum reaching high above $4000. For now the market moves won't be that wild to reach $4k within this year. This year the growth is much slower than other time period with fluctuations in large margin. Speculators have predicted it for the year 2025-26. Based on what I've learnt, the price movement starts over the days of halving and this can make a direct bounce or can move in a stabilized way. Anyhow the $4k is predicted to happen after 2024

since eth's recent ath is close to $5k, it is clear that the $4k target is not going to be a problem for eth, but the current market conditions are very different from last year, we are in a bear season not a bull season so it will be difficult to see a breakout of eth this year

the price of ethereum never stands alone, its price changes are purely with the price of bitcoin, if we want to see ethereum price at $4k then we have to see bitcoin price at over $50k. until the end of this year bitcoin price most likely won't go up to $50k++ then we won't likely see ethereum price at $4k.

Same time we can't be conclusive, and there is more chances of some other proof of work cryptocurrency to peak by the time as a huge number of miners will look for the next thing in the market.

But let's look at the current market conditions. It's still difficult for ethereum to get the effect of the merger because, with the current price of ethereum, that means ethereum has to get a big pump so that the price can immediately go up high. It will be abnormal if Ethereum can reclaim its all time high when general crypto market is bearish. It is not possible. I believe Ethereum will reclaim its all time high and reach a new one in next bull run. It might be 3 to 5 times higher than current all time high.

It is too obsessive if we believe Ethereum can be opposite of general market. When all market is fearful and institutional investors have their financial issues, it is difficult to attract big capital into Ethereum. The new capital must be big enough to create hype and manipulate the Ethereum volume and consequent price.

Cannot say anything before this Ethereum Merge but I am sure if market stay bear then it will not rise to 4k and will trade below 3k$. Ethereum hit 2k very fast but suddenly market down and now Ethereum against down. This year is not good for crypto and other stocks market.
